I can’t understand the poor reviews that people are writing here??? What gives? I nearly didn’t order from here because of it, but the place is so close to home that I decided to give it a shot. Since then we’ve ordered from here at least 6 – 7 times. 1. Delivery is hella fast. 2. When we’ve gone to pickup the food or order in the store the owner or cashier was really sweet to my daughter and gave her a free appetizer and drink while we waited for our order once. 3. The portions are pretty darn good — could be a little more generous with the amount of rice that they give, but it’s not worth complaining about. 4. Quality is good not great. I’d give the quality 4 stars maybe 4.5 and haven’t tried the soups yet. Egg rolls are good. Since moving to Austin my wife and I had not been able to find a good Chinese restaurant. Coming from the cultural epicenter of Cleveland(sarcasm) we’d taken the Chinese restaurants for granted. But seriously — the Chinese restaurants in Cleveland are twice as good as any Chinese take-away that you’ll find here in Austin. Except this one.

2.5 if I could. I have to admit that I was already annoyed when I arrived. I ordered the lunch special of Hunan Beef on the way over and asked for extra spice, mushrooms and onions. She told me that the $ 5.95 lunch special came to a total of almost $ 9. It didn’t register and I hung up… my fault. There was an up-charge for a few slices of onions and mushrooms and maybe something else. I know. it’s not that much but no other Chinese restaurant in CP does that that I’ve experience. Anyway, the hot and sour soup had a layer of oil on the top and lacked flavor. The egg roll was doughy and not from steam. It was mushy. I pitched both. The sauce and veggies in the dish were very tasty but the beef was very chewy. I won’t be going back for my usual 2nd or 3rd chance due to the attitude I got from the cashier when I asked about the up-charge. There were no other customers there and she was unprofessional and impolite. There are plenty of options for better food in Cedar Park with a much better experience… I understand now why there were no other customers.

We used to order from Amy’s Chinese, but after several instances of them getting the orders wrong, rude employees, and a delivery guy who didn’t have change and got himself a $ 15 tip, I searched online and found Wok Express. Customer service is great, food is good, delivery is fast, and portions are generous. This is now our go-to place for Chinese delivery.

Big portions, made to order and not too expensive. It is our new Chinese place! They make their sweet and sour from scratch. It is delicious! My husband loves spicy and they always nail it when he asks for spicy.

It’s not the best Chinese you’ll ever have but it isn’t the worst. It’s tasty enough to satisfy a craving and good for that emergency dinner situation. The staff are friendly and delivery has always been fast.

My spouse and I have eaten at Chinese restaurants around the world, from Los Angeles to London to Beijing, and for the price you pay and considering this is primarily a take-out venue, it is one of our favorites. The food is always fresh and the portions huge. We highly recommend the egg foo young.

Won’t eat here again food was gross and over prices and served in styrofoam even though I told them I wasn’t to go. Sorry but I can’t eat here ever again!

My first time ordering from Wok Express seemed to be on a very busy night. Almost every Chinese place in the area had over 1 hr wait time for delivery so I figured I would give this place a shot as nothing else has really blown me away yet. First off, I was really happy with the fact that they deliver to my neighborhood in Leander. It is hard to find places nearby that will deliver that far. The wait for delivery was right on the mark with what they told me so while I may not order delivery if the wait is 1 hr 15 minutes, I can’t complain that it took that much time almost to the minute. My food arrived hot and ready to eat. I ordered the Won Ton soup, Chicken and Broccoli and Pork Fried Rice. The soup had good flavor and was hot but not too hot to eat. They also gave me some bonus egg rolls with it that tasted amazing. I’m normally rather picky with egg rolls but really enjoyed theirs. The chicken and Broccoli was plentiful and there was a lot of flavorful sauce. Very garlicy but I love garlic. It also came with a generous serving of steamed rice. The Pork Fried Rice was amazing. It was very flavorful and even though I was super full, I couldn’t help but eat a few bites of it before putting it away for leftovers. Even my picky picky husband liked the fried rice. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

I hate to diss a family owned business, however, as promised, my up date has dropped by a hard one-star. Nice people, but, as reported by others the food seemed mushy and not as fresh as I had initially thought. The Low main was good keeping the score at three stars.

Most flavorful snow peas ever! And they were not soggy/overcooked. I ordered on at Tuesday night for delivery and it took and hour… but I was told that right away. It took awhile to get through on the phone and while I was placing my order I kept hearing the rollover phone lines ring. Very busy. My food arrived at the expected time — 1 hour from time of order.(I ordered at 7pm. — Peak dinner time perhaps?) The food was hot, there was plenty of it, and I could actually distinguish flavors — something that most Chinese food places fall short on. I ordered: 1) Cheese wonton appetizer — Great value! 2) Sweet & Sour Pork and the sauce came on the side. I liked that very much. 3) Curry Chicken. I LOVE curry but most places use coconut or coconut oil with curry dishes. I’m allergic to coconut. Wok Express used none in this dish. YIPPY! 4) Shrimp & Snow peas — Excellent. My huge order came to only $ 36 delivered. I will definitely order again.

Wok Express just keeps getting better! Good, fast, fresh food! Lisa is wonderful and knows how to please her customers. She makes our special order and remembers us every time! Thanks, Lisa… your attitude and ability to cook have renewed my faith in the people of the world. Sometimes it is the little things that make it all worth while!

I label this review«crap». I took my son on a date and we stopped here b/c we wanted normal, good Chinese. It was terrible. Food in our plate that the OWNER/server noted«ok» to and walked away. Everything about this crap was crappy. If this were my restaurant, I’d name it «Crappy Mccrappers» just to avoid false advertising charges. The food was terrible. Just TERRIBLE(sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken). There was no spice, no taste and completely overcooked brown, greasy chicken. I’m embarrassed it’s in my neighborhood.

Another random stop for me. I basically always order cashew chicken everywhere I go. That is what I judge on. I know it is weird. Some people are sweet &sour other people are beef and broccoli. Me I am cashew chicken. It wasn’t the best I have ever had But not the worst. I am not a fan of soggy mushrooms in anything. So that was a downer. Flavor over all ok. Large portion! Cream cheese Rangoon was yummy! They do Delievery in cedar park

Excellent food for the price. Very friendly staff .Food is always hot and on time when delivered .The driver Mark is very friendly and a very polite young man. All food chains that deliver need delivery drivers like him. If your in the area I would recommend Wok Express.

This is my go to nearby cheap chinese food lunch spot. They give you plenty of food at lunch time for $ 6. Their broccoli is never over cooked and it has plenty of sauce. Is it out of this world… no! But it’s cheap and tasty. The people are always nice there but sometimes they seem a little slow. I would always call in advance.

Wok Express is always hot, good and reasonably priced. The service is always great. I have never been to China, so I cannot vouch for the authenticity, but we have been happily ordering take out for the last five years. Sweat and sour chicken, orange chicken and General Tso chicken are all favorites. The egg rolls are great too.

I should have listened to the reviews. My husband ordered cashew shrimp and wonton soup. I ordered cheese wontons and pork lo mein. We both had egg rolls. Cashew shrimp: He thought it was OK, but did not rave about it. Egg rolls: Tasted like the ones you get in the super market freezer section. Wonton soup: Husband seemed to like it. I tasted the broth, bland. Cheese Wontons: just that, cream cheese and nothing else. I would have liked at least some green onion. I remember when these used to be crab Rangoon at most places, even if it was a trace of crab. Pork Lo Mein: Rather bland and oily. It tasted all right, but not worth saving the leftovers for the next day. Nor were the cheese wontons. Normally do this but not this time. Overall, similar to Great Wall, but Great Wall tastes a bit better. If we want any type of Asia food, we will stick to Thai Bowl Café.
