I use to go to the Westminster location because that was the only one I knew of. When this location opened, I was ecstatic. So much closer to home. But that’s not all, the staff here are a lot more pleasant than the other location. One of the employee’s here offered to mix in the ice for my avocado drink! I was surprised she offered to help because the Westminster location could give a rats ass what you do with your drink. The avocado drink and the che 3 mau are the only things I have tried here and they were good. The avocado drink comes with mashed up avocado and a bunch of different asian jellies and boba. I think they use condense milk too. The location here is kind of hidden although it’s on a main street. This huge mattress building is blocking them.

Ambience: only 4 small tables so it’s best for take out. There is a long bench to sit and wait which is a nice touch. Food: bambu special(5⁄5): coconut water, coco meat, pandan, longan, and basil seed — definitely an acquired taste but it’s so refreshing and delicious. Love love the chewy texture of the pandan jelly. Bo dam(5⁄5): avocado mash with jelly, boba and dark brick(coffee jelly?). This one is thick and rich. I believe they use condense milk. I would definitely recommend that you share. Also an acquired taste. Service(5⁄5): no matter who is working, they are always friendly. Surprising great service for a Vietnamese joint. Definitely beats the one in Westminster.

Nice place with yummy desserts that took me back to my childhood days where I used to have those desserts every holiday or family get together =)

The drinks I would rate a 5. But the customer service brings it down to a 2. We ordered 5 drinks total and instead of two #1’s, the order was mistakenly put down as two #2’s. Not even 2 seconds after the receipt was printed, we realized that the order was a mistake. When we went to go change it, the guy in the kitchen comes out and tells us that he’s already made the two #2’s and forced us to switch out our #6 for a #1. The only reason why they gave us the other #1 was because the person behind us ordered a #2. I was appalled when the guy in the back wouldn’t let us change our order. It wasn’t as if we had received the drinks and changed our minds afterward. Instead of apologizing and being accommodating, the worker in the kitchen came off as stingy and inflexible. I’d like to thank the cashier in the front for being polite and sweet. Two drinks is not a big deal, but the way the worker handled it was rude and made the experience very unsavory for us.

I went here recently with my cousin. I ordered the passionfruit tea, strawberry tea, and one vanilla macaroon ice cream. He showed me the screen on his tablet. There was my total($ 12) and below the total, there was a place for me to add a tip. Needless to say, I was confused and did not leave a tip. When we received our drinks, the man seemed very dismissive and just handed our drinks over to us. This was the odd thing. By having a tip alongside your total, it felt like you were obligated to add one? I wondered what I would essentially be tipping him for. After all, for those of you who go to boba places regularly, you know the drill: you order, you pay, then you pick up your drink. No tip is asked for. Same case when you buy a drink anywhere else. You order, pay, then pick up and go. Maybe there is a tip jar somewhere, so you can drop a tip for good service. But it’s never presented alongside your total. The even stranger thing is that the Bambu locations in Northern California do not ask for a tip? The drinks were alright. But I don’t think I’ll be back here? One extra star for the ice cream. But you can likely find macaroon ice cream elsewhere. Overall, it’s a bit overpriced and the tipping thing was a tad awkward.

Friendly service. This place is small and cozy with lots of drink and smoothie options. I like how some of the smoothies ad pictures and listed ingredients on the wall. Thai milk tea was good. I’m glad it wasn’t overly sweet like some places.

LOVE love this place! The first time I went here was about a year or two ago(before they had pandan waffles, ice cream macarons, snacks, and tables), because I wanted to support my friend with his first job. To be honest, I forgot how the passion fruit smoothie tasted. All I know is that he told me that they make everything with fresh ingredients. Fast forward to this year, I decided to try the place again mainly because my dad wanted a mango smoothie. The #1: oh my goodness it was fricken delicious. I’m pretty sure I could have finished one more serving of it. My mom loved it a lot too that she told me she’d frequent this place more often. Vietnamese Iced Coffee: I was not a fan of it all, maybe because I was expecting it to taste like Lee’s sandwiches iced coffee. The taste was too strong for me. Penntwort drink: I tried this in coconut juice, and I really enjoyed it. The coconut juice sort of masks the strong taste of the greens. Hazelnut Mocha Coffee: It was too sweet for me, but it was still good. As for the service, I have gone here on the weekday afternoons and I believe she’s the only one serving in there. So try to understand if your drinks take a bit of time, especially if there is a good amount of people(to the girl that was complaining her coffee was taking too long. *in nicki minaj’s voice* what’s good?). I always order 3 — 4 types of drinks and I think she makes them pretty fast.

A new«still in training» cashier was taking our order and was very friendly! I love how the workers SMILE a lot! :D This location is kinda small, but very clean! There’s a few tables and a bench for you to wait or chill. There’s also a minimum $ 5 for credit card use, but most of their drinks are at least $ 5 anyway. so it works out! I got a #5(Bo Dam or Avocado with shaved ice); it came with coffee jelly, boba, and rainbow jelly. They gladly accommodated my needs by taking out the coffee jelly and replacing it with lychee jelly! Next time, I will get it without boba or add ons(there’s too many calories! — makes me feel guilty). Im joking. kinda. My drink was made in less than 5 minutes. In and out like a breeze!. SOFAST! Guess this is my new favorite BAMBU location, for now!

Great place to grab dessert. I had the #6 which had coconut milk, ice, and a lot of different fruits and some jelly. It was our first time trying it out and the owner showed us the best way to mix it together to make sure we got a good balance of all the ingredients. We appreciated the intro Not sure if it actually is any healthier but it felt semi healthy and very refreshing. I’ll definitely be back!

Decided to take a vacation in LA and this was the closest location to where we were. I am so glad we stopped by here because the décor of this franchise is clean and looks great(better than the locations in the Bay Area). It was early and this old man came out to take my friend and I’s orders. He was very patient even though we were so indecisive(everything looked so good on the menu lol). I ended up getting #4 which was good to my surprise since I’m not a huge fan of red bean but the red bean mixed really well with this drink. I usually get #10 though decided to try something new this time. The old man was really nice and told us he will mix the drink for us and explained why(how the flavor blends in more once the shaved ice is broken etc.) Overall, loved the location(next to many good asian restaurants), service(old man who I believe was the franchise owner was very sweet and kind) and drink(yummy).

Small place that needs more seats. Clean and cute setup though. They have a good selection of smoothie, coffee and tea flavors and they also sell some other beverages, snacks and macaron ice cream sandwiches. You can customize your drinks with whatever inserts you desire. From boba to lychee jelly. Prices are fair and they push drinks out quick. We ordered a taro smoothie with boba and a banana smoothie with lychee jelly. Good quality smoothies. Not sweet at all. The husband loved it. Guess for me, I was looking for something extra(what«extra» is, I have yet to determine). I’d come back though and try more. Worth giving another shot for sure.

The best way I can describe the desserts is shaved ice with coconut milk and different jellies and fillings. If you’re Filipino, it’s similar to halo-halo. My friends and I came on a hot summer evening. One of my friends and I got #2 off the dessert selection. It’s called Che Thap Cam(combo). It has red, white, mung bean, boba pearl, taro, jelly and coconut milk with a perfect amount of shaved ice. Not exactly sure what red and white is but it’s good. We thoroughly enjoyed ours. Everything compliments everything in this concoction. The coconut milk balances out the heaviness of the mung bean, the boba adds a sweetness and a different texture, the jelly cleans the palate. It’s not too sweet — just right. Two of my other friends got #5, Bo Dam, which has avocado, boba pearls, and jellies in it. They liked it but got tired of it when they were both more than halfway done with it. I tried it. It’s creamy but not to my liking. I expected it to be more sweetened but just felt like drinking cold avocado. A little weird. It might as well come with a side of chips or something. One of my other friends got #10. I can’t remember the name — it was very long, Hat Luu-something something. She didn’t finish it and said that it’s too sweet. Come here if you’re looking for an adventurous dessert. They also have iced milk teas, smoothies, and ice cream macaron sandwiches. I’d come back. It seems a lot of people like #6. It has lychee, which is one of my favorite things in this world. I only wish there was more space and seating inside. There’s only two tables that fit four each.

Let’s see… mung beans, pandan jelly, milk, all the goodness of halo halo but now in a cup form?! Yes! Great for those days that you want a little«more» than your usual Boba Tea. Some days, it does feel like a struggle for me though to slurp those big ingredients through the straw. Thank goodness for the spoon that comes with it. It is a bit of work for a $ 4 drink but after having one, you will most likely be full as it can be a meal in itself. Pictures with the drink on the menu makes it easy to order by number.

This establishment is very small with very limited seating. People at the counter have been consistently friendly, but since it does get crowded and drinks are made fresh, it does take a while to come out. My usual order is the #1 Bambu Special. It’s light refreshing and super cold on a hot day. I can’t describe all the ingredients, but every bit of it is refreshing and every sip feels like your skinny dipping in ice cold coconut water. Plenty of parking in a mini mall.

Thank you BAMBU for providing a modern and entry level take on chè. This allows vietnamese style desserts to be more accessible to a wider range of people. Great execution and the strive for self improvement makes this a place I will start frequenting. Before BAMBU I would have to go to more Vietnamese dense communities to get my fix of chè and pandan waffles(e.g Little Saigon). Now I can just stop here on a whim. Some of the Chè: Consumable mostly with a straw: #1BAMBU Special — Coconut, pandan jelly, longan, basil seed, and coconut juice. This mixture is quite light compared to most of the others and sweet. This is something to try if you’re new to the chè game(although those seeds might look like little eyeballs). #10 Hat Luu Suong Sao Banh Lot — Red tapioca, grass & pandan jelly, coconut milk — For those who prefer coconut milk over coconut juice. Another sweet but lighter than the rest combination. This one is very safe and I would recommend to those who prefer a lighter style of chè. You will need the spoon to consume: #6 Chè Trái Cây(fruit chè) — Lychee, longan, redtapioca, jackfruit, palm seed, jello, coconut milk — This is the daddy of all the chè on the menu. It provides a large mixture of tropical fruits. The lyechee is longan is tangy. Longan is normally a very sweet fruit, but they used canned longan which has a more tart and sour taste. The jackfruit gets mellowed out in the coconut milk but still provide a sweet and tangy taste without the strong smell. If its your first time getting it, have them go less on the mixture and more on the coconut milk, as thats where most of the sweetness is derived from. Pandan Waffles(1⁄3 $ or 2⁄5 $): I always remind them to make mine well done since I prefer mine crispy. These are sweet green waffles. Chè isn’t for everyone, but there’s also things like smoothies and variety of coffees(yes they have vietnamese coffee and it’s strong). I recommend this place if you’re into Vietnamese desserts or want to give it a try. Please also note that this isn’t your typical boba tea/juice locations.

Pandan waffle — piping hot and fresh, you can reheat it at home in a toaster, if you can wait Hazelnut iced coffee — might be too sweet, but it was so good, I will be sure to request NOADDEDSUGAR next time ’nuff said.

My boss recommended I check this place out, he said their desserts were great. We went in after lunch and I decided to get an avocado smoothie. A man(owner?) came out and asked us if we had been there before, we said no. This guy was so nice and helpful. He was very enthusiastic about all of their drinks/desserts and spent time going over the menu and what he recommended we get. He ended up convincing me to get the #1BAMBU Special. I am so glad he did. He also talked my friend into adding coffee jelly to her Blended Hazelnut Mocha. Good call. Our drinks were out very quickly. He showed me how to mix mine and wanted us to try it so he could make sure we liked it. Both of the drinks were phenomenal. My coconut based dessert drink was so refreshing, I know I will definitely be hitting this place up on hot summer days. I also loved all the fruit that I got to eat at the end, very tasty drink! Her mocha was great, very strong and flavorful. The coffee jelly was a great addition to her drink. Super friendly guy with excellent customer service and fantastic drinks. Very glad I tried Bambu, I will be back soon!

THISISTHEBESTLOCATIONOUTOFALLOFTHEM!!! I love coming to this BAMBU! The workers are always super nice, always accommodating, and they just make me want to come back. Not like the other locations where the workers are stand-off ish and just not nice. Another plus is that THEYTAKECARD, if your order is $ 5 or more. I always order the Bambu special #1, and it never disappoints! If you like coconut milk, then you’ll love this. Everything in this drink is awesome. I also ask if they can cup up the coconut skin and they’re more than happy to do it. Unlike the other locations that don’t know what cutting up the coconut skin means… fools.

Came by here with my husband and our 2 friends after we had lunch next door at Geko Tei. We were greeted by a young Asian male who came out from the back and suggested picking a drink on the wall behind us, as these are their most popular drinks(#1−6). This is what my husband and I ended up getting: #5($ 4.25 prior to tax) comes with avocado, pearl, dark brick & combo jelly. My husband ordered this drink and enjoyed it. I didn’t try any of it because I am not a big avocado drink fan. #6($ 4.25 prior to tax) comes with lychee, longan, red tapioca, jack fruit, palm seed, jelly, pandan, jelly & coconut milk. This drink is more like a dessert because it is quite heavy and filling. I have had che desserts made by my in laws and at restaurants. I thought this drink was rather too sweet, maybe a bit sweeter than the traditional ones I have had. I think this place probably made this drink sweeter to appeal more to the American palate. After only having ¼ of my drink, I was already sick of it. I actually only ended up finishing only half of my drink and trashed the rest. I am a little disappointed that my drink wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be and do not see myself coming back. Just an FYI, this place does not have any restrooms. Also they no longer accept Amex. Also if you are allergic to coconut they can make you a cup of coffee if you still want to get something here. One of my friends is allergic to coconut and he informed the male employee who took our order. He told us that he couldn’t just make one of the dessert drinks w/o coconut milk because the spoon they use to mix up the drink may still have coconut on it. I appreciated the employee’s concern and information regarding this(as this really is a serious matter if you do have a food allergy). So he offered my friend to make him a cup of coffee.
