MLK afternoon at the mall, 4pm: 1st) It is overpriced. I asked the cashier how much per ounce and he said he doesn’t know. He just weight and the price will come up. I had mine half full of a cup and it cost me $ 8.76! Quite expensive. I did my calculations: 17.3 oz at $ 8.76 = 50cents per ounce 2nd) After 2 hrs of consuming the yogurt, I was having diarrhea… Literally, the thing worked so fast like a laxative. Did they put so much stomach bacteria in their yogurt? 3rd) Maybe the exposed toppings have bacteria because kids can reach over and touch the toppings so liberally. Maybe kids sneezed on these too. There can be a better way to safeguard the toppings from public and health safety.

No. Do not come here. Go to the other side of the mall for Yogurtland. Overpriced for average tastes. No banger tastes. Decided to come here because I liked that they were giving out samples. ALL workers do not smile. The sample giver gave me a sample. I said thank you. She says, mm hmm, and makes no eye contact. The cookies and cream handle was giving people trouble. The little girl in front of me asked an employee to help and she says, oh I don’t know, and walks away. The cashier was bland and did not even offer a spoon or lid. I reached over the counter to grab a spoon myself. Please shut down soon. You suck, Prinkipia.

Prinkipia Frozen Yogurt in Los Cerritos Center has a nice open layout. They are not located in some small store. Decided to stop by after trying one of their Watermelon samples that their employee was offering. At 38 cents per ounce, I think that it is right in line with the competition. They have approximately a dozen assorted flavors to choose from. I combined 4 flavors in my container. Blueberry, Strawberry, Mint Chocolate, and Mango. Not bad. If you want toppings, then they have plenty to choose from. The toppings bar was very clean as well. Good place for froyo. I still prefer going to Yogurtland when I am at this mall because I like their flavor choices better than Prinkipia.

This place had a great selection of toppings. I tried three flavors which were green apple, pineapple and Taro! I think taro was the the most interesting flavor there as they don’t have that anywhere else from what I have seen The line wasn’t long and the service was quick One of the toppings of choice is the 12 flavor Albenese gummy bears which I can eat all day long until I get a stomach ache: D

3.5 stars Do you prinki when you pia? The Cerritos Mall Froyo Deathmatch commences! Prepare the combatants for battle! Prinkipia opened up, not too long ago, located on the right of Forever 21. Can the mall sustain 2 froyo spots, Prinkipia & Yogurtland, within close proximity of each other? Let’s see… Pro’s — Centralized location with an open layout(The teenagers must have field day pilfering free froyo when the employees aren’t looking #blindspot) Creamy texture Lots of toppings Con’s — Not as many unique flavors No email club currently No dedicated seating I enjoy Prinkipia’s frozen yogurt. The pistachio and mango were sweet with a siky smooth texture. The green apple tart like a green apple should be. Service has been good, with friendly staff offering samples to passersby as they shop till they drop. I believe in order to compete with Yogurtland, Prinkipia should offer more flavors, especially considering the froyo costs more per oz. then the distinguished competition. My verdict — A grueling fight, but Yogurtland wins with a medium punch, followed by an advantageous leg sweep when Prinkipia was distracted. I recommend Prinkipia Frozen Yogurt if you’re in a hurry and don’t have the time for the line at Yogurtland. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I was here on Monday. I love frozen yogurt! I never tried this place before it’s my first time, it’s pretty good. There’s a lot of varieties to choose from. I will come again. Only thing is that they should have table and chairs around for us to sit and enjoy it. Btw their pistachio flavor is really good it has more flavor then other places.

Surprised to see someone daring enough to take on Yogurtland, BUT… I prefer the open layout vs everyone in my comfort zone. The texture when I got it as a smooth creamy texture. Slightly more so on a combo of sorbet & frozen yogurt. Flavours are good & I’ll be back to see how this is when its packed. When I came it was empty. The cashier brought the sample cup and filled it for me. I was a little grossed out that he put his finger in the cup but I’m sure a lot goes down in food service I’d rather not know or see.

I got to try this new frozen yogurt spot inside the mall, right next to Forever 21 and across the way from Gymboree. It’s not hard to miss considering it’s right out in the open and has no walls hiding it from view. You basically just walk right up to the frozen yogurt thingamajiggies and serve up yourself some yogurt. I only got to try the vanilla, strawberry — safe flavors for the little one — and tart watermelon which I liked when I sampled, but felt like it was way too tart when I got some in my cup. We added some rainbow sprinkles and granola for some texture and taste and done — a pretty expensive cup of vanilla, strawberry, and watermelon w granola and sprinkles for almost $ 5! I sure didn’t think it was worth it, but anything to make the little boy happy! I can’t say if it’s better than Yogurtland, which is also in the mall. I have to do a side by side taste test for that. It’s not one of those places that I would go out of my way to go to. Maybe next time I’m walking in the mall, feeling a sweet tooth coming on, AND happen to be right in front of this place, then I’ll go there again. I don’t foresee that happening too soon.

I was doing some holiday shopping at Los Cerritos Center recently and noticed that Prinkipia Frozen Yogurt had opened RIGHT next to Forever 21! Associates were handing out samples like it was nobody’s business so of course I helped myself to a few… or many… or all the flavors(shh). FLAVORS, which I believe do NOT rotate because the signs were bolted onto the wall: –Green apple –Watermelon –Vanilla –Chocolate –Pineapple –Mango –Plain tart –Cappuccino –Strawberry VENUE: Unlike Yogurtland’s tiny, claustrophobic store, Prinkipia is actually located right in the open, in the middle of the mall. The self-service yogurt machines are literally just lined up alongside the wall next to Forever 21 — there is no physical store that you enter or step foot into. I really like this concept because I always felt so squished and rushed at Yogurtland in the mall. PRICE: Price is 35 cents/oz, which is a tad bit pricier than Yogurtland’s 32 cents/oz that’s only a minute walk away. TASTETEST: Texture at Prinkipia is WAYCREAMIER than Yogurtland’s icy texture. After going through all the samples at Prinkipia, we actually went over to Yogurtland to compare flavors and Yogurtland’s plain tart and coffee flavors tasted better than Prinkipia’s. Overall, however, I liked Prinkipia’s bold, creamy taste better and will probably be giving my business to Prinkipia when I have a frozen yogurt craving at the mall.

Definitely not Yogurtland but if u must it will do. It’s located in the middle of the mall. The quality at Yogurtland is much much better and one thing I hate about this place is the fact that I can’t make my own samples.
