I really thought I had reviewed this already! As far as tcbys go this is a five star. The teens working here know how to hustle and be polite, even friendly! We probably come here once a week and though the line can get long it moves pretty fast. The yogurt is what you would expect. I don’t find it as good as Yogurt pump but better than other chains. They do have Greek yogurt and the tart flavored kind if you don’t want overly sweet. In addition to having soft serve they also have dipped yogurt which seems pretty much like ice cream to me. Wednesdays they have waffle cones for 99 cents which draws a crowd. One thing I like about this tcby is they do a Lot of community events and host school nights where they give back a portion of their profits. Overall, it seems to be a very well run business. Give those teens a raise! I’m not sure where this would go but you could always put in an ICEE machine if you wanted to.

For a tcby it is a good place. I go there often and I like how they have the scooped version of frozen yogurt. Don’t get me wrong I am not hating but it is no maple view. I do understand that it’s frozen yogurt and not ice cream but it is not really anything too special in my opinion. I like the seating and the price is good and it is defiantly good for kids. The service is almost always fabulous. My favorite item on the menu is the parfait. They have shakes and smoothies as well. It is defiantly A-OK. :)

A Chapel Hill institution! I grew up going to this place, and none of the new crop of frozen yogurt places can hold a candle to it. You would think you are eating the richest ice cream, but it is frozen yogurt. My wife and I religiously went on Waffle Cone Wednesday, and we just wish there were one here in Arlington, VA where we’ve moved!

I have been a customer for years, and it seems to be getting worse in terms of consistency, and variety. There are just better options, like YoPop on Weaver Dairy Rd. I cannot tell you the number of times i have come to TCBY and this flavor is not ready, another flavor is offered, etc. The toppings seem unclean. The lack of consistency in the portions is an issue. What one employee considers a large is very different from another employee. I stopped in on Saturday, hoping for a Shiver, and several flavors were not available. I just walked out – as this type of thing is more and more common these days.

Love me some waffle cone wednesday! The only way to satisfy a crowd of kiddos on the cheap… yes kids, you can only have desserts on wednesdays… Please don’t go here on Wednesdays though… I don’t want the lines getting any longer thank you.

Waffle cone Wednesdays means a kids size for $ 1.50. Not a bad deal for a decent tasting cone and any flavor you choose. If you want a bigger size they have those on sale too but the kids size really is a healthy portion. Typical flavors but the chocolate peanut butter hit the spot for me. Parking can be busy depending on the rest of the plaza traffic. But it’s convenient to your other shopping needs. Service was friendly and fast. Perfect for a hot spring day!

All I have to say is YUMMY! I am not even a big ice cream/frozen yogurt person, but I will make an exception for this play. 1) the staff is always friendly from the second you walk in the door 2) you HAVE to try the white chocolate mousse flavor with cookie dough topping! Delicious! Even in winter when it is 30 degrees outside, it is never too cold for a treat from TCBY.

I felt compelled to write a review for a chain(not a norm for me) because TCBY brought back their coveted«original» flavor, which they now call sour. If you were a fan of real frozen yogurt flavor and had abandoned hope for the past decade of finding something that wasn’t sickly sweet, give this(and, especially, Local Yogurt in Durham) a try again. The prices are very high for the market(except on Waffle Cone Wednesday), so a star deduction there … But my pet peeve, the Tipping Situation(see Locopops), is not annoying here as the kids make you cone and add toppings at their discretion(in general), so that’s a bonus.

TCBY Yogurt — that’s like ATM Machine or Jumbo Shrimp. Maybe just ATM Machine. It’s certainly a yogurt store located in THE country but not necessarily the country’s BEST. It’s seriously come a long way since the late 90s. The inside of the store is a lot less sterile, but the atmosphere could be improved. I recommend the White Chocolate Mousse(try a shiver with fresh strawberry and chocolate chips).
