Bashful Boutique

This place is adorable and affordable. Follow them on Instagram or Facebook so you can stay current on what they have in the stores. They don’t always respond if you ask questions which is a thumbs down and my only other negative (this is for all boutiques not just bashful) is that they rarely have xs sizes. Petite girl problems. But there are far more positives than negatives!

My coworker & I spent many a lunch break perusing the merchandise at Bashful, & it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Avondale area!
Like Mary Elizabeth said, they’re always getting new merchandise, & you’re guaranteed to find something one of a kind to add to your wardrobe. They have a great selection of jewelry, too! I’d also add that the prices are really reasonable, & much cheaper than what you would find on King Street.
Bashful is definitely a hidden gem!

Bashful is Avondale in a nutshell: cool, quirky, and way better priced than the peninsula. They get new merch in all the time, small batch, lots of personality. Sundresses and light tops and skirts perfect for Charleston weather, all with just enough edge and wit to prove you didn’t pick this up at the mall. They’ve got accessories and small items perfect for gifting, and the service is friendly and quick. And at these prices, you won’t feel like a sucker.

Bashful is a fabulous boutique for retail therapy in fun Avondale, with varying price points, one of a kind outfits, and seems to be that their inventory is CONSTANTLY changing weekly. I love their sales racks, but prices are so fair on current seasonal fashions, too.
Take advantage of lunch at Triangle Char & Bar or Gene’s Haufbrau. The Roost is fun after 4 during the week, but I hear brunch is coming on weekends.
