Once again I’m surprised at the type of restaurants found in shopping malls. THis one is also a pleasant find for me. The individual size pizza is perfect for one. Crisp, thin and hot. I don’t go for all the extra toppings but sometimes a plain cheese pizza hits the spot. Sat outside, asked to have the music lowered, could not do it fast enough. My wife had a great huge salad. Of course we had the Moscow Mules, what else. They make the best. Very nice spot to stop at. Frank G

This was the our first visit and it was amazing. The smell of the wood burning, the laid-back atmosphere, the music, and the friendly staff is going to make my quest to find the best wood fired pizza in Charleston very difficult because the pizza here was outstanding. It was even great cold after we got home. There is a nice variety on the menu and prices are comparable to like establishments.

First I have to say what an awesome area this is becoming!!! I had been craving pizza so we finally made a stop and I am a big fan. We started with the Panzanella Salad, and will forgive them for calling it that with those 5 paltry, tiny, croutons –BUTDONOT let this stop you from ordering. So, so, so delicious I wanted to lick the bowl!!! And the mozzarella is FRESH — not that gummy stuff you get in the grocery story! The whole bowl was fresh, fresh goodness! I see that this salad is not on the website menu — please keep this as a regular item. So easy for the chef to adjust seasonally as needed. For my pizza, I ordered the special(Bacon, Brussel sprouts, green apple, ricotta, mozzarella & wild flower honey pizza) and was very happy with it. I ate part and finished it later at home and I will tell you that both my pizza and my husband’s held up to the ‘finish it later, room temp’ test! This menu is so awesome that I could not decide on just one entrée so I ordered the Short Rib Gnocchi, saving it for breakfast the next morning and was happy I did. A simple comfort meal for a winter day, reminiscent of Grandma’s tender pot roast, perfect for this cold rainy morning!

I sat at the bar with a friend and her(college-aged) daughter. Bartender was attentive and nice. Excellent house red(a most delicious, well-priced montepulciano). I really wanted to try the butternut squash pizza, but I love gnocchi and decided to order the local shrimp gnocchi. It was amazing! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, the tomato and basil sauce was fresh and just enough to not drown out the meal. Perfect portion size. All of the pizzas I saw looked delicious. I will be back for sure!

I am so glad to try something new. They make my pizza just how I like it. Wood fired in a brick oven topped with pepperoni, sausage and cheese. This place has the best deal for Charleston Restaurant Week which is 3 courses for $ 20. I believe I am gonna have to come a distance for a good pizza and restaurant week deal.

Charging for olive oil at an Italian pizza place is like charging for a bowling ball at a bowling alley. Good pizza, but the olive oil isn’t worth the additional charge. There should be a bottle of oil and vinegar on the table.

Four stars in absolute terms, five given suburban location in SC! Real wood oven pizza, cold beer, good vibe. This place is deservedly popular. The folks working there could not have been friendlier. We like this place!

The wood fired pizza was good. The pepperoni topping was unusually bad tasting. The waiter told us that they use salami instead of pepperoni. It still tasted awful regardless of there reasoning.

I would like to give a review of the food but I never made it that far. I went in for lunch on Sunday and since no one acknowledged me entering the restaurant, I took a seat at a two top and pulled out some work that I had to do. The bartender was involved in a deep conversation with another employee apparently and a male server looked over at me several times but never bothered to bring a menu, take a drink order, etc. Three other groups entered the restaurant, were acknowledged, and were waited on by the wait staff; one couple sat at the table next to me and I still wasn’t served. After ten minutes I left without being served.

I almost gave it a 3 but I really loved my pizza but we had a big party and we got the pepperoni for a kid with us. Yuck. But everyone else loved our food. I don’t think it is a great place for kids. But for adults it is pretty awesome. The Tomato Goat was fantastic and our favorite and what we eat more often is the butternut squash pizza. I love Truffle and I could smell truffle as that one came to the table. OMG it was good and the wine was half price that night. Another reason it got a 4. So, this place is great for a date or just a group of folks over 20. We will be back.

Good but not great. Portions are on the small size for the price and the staff has little to no personality. Average overall.

Really sad that we were disappointed with the food but I think we ordered wrong. Bucatini with meatballs was awful. Tasted like a $ 2 can of hunts on noodles with frozen dried out bland meatballs. Sad. Caesar with farm egg was DELISH though. Will try again for the pizza! Staff seemed overwhelmed and distracted. It’s Friday and you’re next to a movie theatre. Zia is 1000x better!

Solid pizza time and time again. Flavorful crust, fresh ingredients, good service. I daresay this is one of my favorite pizza places in Charleston. I only have two things I don’t LOVE about it: they seem to REALLY skimp on the ingredients if you do a custom pizza. I ordered a custom combo with arugula and watched it come out alongside their butternut squash pizza. Mine had a countable number of arugula leaves on it, and the butternut pizza looked like it had a salad on top! So, note to self. Stick with their design. Second thing is small but it would be nice if they didn’t charge extra for a small side of marinara sauce in which to dip your delicious crust. The pizza isn’t discount pizza or anything so I’m pretty sure the cost of the 3 tbsp of red sauce that comes out is covered. Oh well. I’m still a fan.

I was super pumped to finally get to try this place and they didn’t disappoint. I loved this place because I am a huge fan of thin crust pizza, which this place boasts. The wood fired flavor is delish. The marinara was so light and fresh tasting. The service was also a pleasure. It was actually borderline too much attention during the meal, which is a good problem to have. We started with the fries appetizer with aioli dipping sauce. I had one of the speciality pizzas and the hubs dug into the vegetarian pizza with the GF crust option(always a rare and appreciated option at a pizza joint). We were both pleased with our meals. I wanted to have leftovers because the meal was so good but alas, I couldn’t get enough and ate my entire pizza in one sitting… There’s always next time!

I have heard such great things about Crust that my expectations may have been too high. The pizza was good but not something«I can’t wait to have again.» The restaurant is small and doesn’t have a good waiting area so you have to get there early to get a seat. Our waitress was amazing: informative, honest and fun. She made sure we enjoyed our experience there.

Location, location, location! Perfect dinner and a movie spot. My favorite is to go after work for a few glasses of wine, go to a movie tipsy(drink there too) and the. Sober up at Crust with some greasy pizza! The best part is, their pizza isn’t greasy. It is light and delicious. I felt satisfied but not stuffed. I recommend a salad to share, it’s the perfect size if you get a large, for three or four people. What I like about his place is its consistently. The waitresses, for example, are consistently terrible at wine recommendations and have no idea what any of them are like. But then again, you are only there to get happy hour drunk off of decent wine and come back for drunk nutrients later. That’s the only recommendation I need.

The three times I’ve been here I’ve been underwhelmed. Although the salads are good(I really liked the beet and goat cheese salad), the pizza isn’t really for me. The crust was a little TOO wood-grilled and was actually burnt, which definitely isn’t what I prefer on my pizza. Also, two of the three visits I sat at the bar and the bartender’s service(same bartender both times) left quite a bit to be desired. This past visit we were practically ignored for the first 10 minutes of our visit while the bartender talked to her friend. Once she finally acknowledged us it felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. There are so many great restaurant options in Charleston so I will not be going back to Crust.

This wood fired pizza is giving Monza a run for its money! I love the décor and atmosphere. We sat outside and ordered a Margherita pizza and a spicy shrimp pizza. Delicious! I just don’t understand why we can’t have great little restaurants like this over in Mount Pleasant!

Their special board was not updated. I really wanted the French Onion but ended up getting the Tomato Basil. Still a delicious choice. Got the Fried Green Tomato app was different take on the standard. There was corn and beans on top of the tomato on top of the green tomato. Yum. Ok so the pizza that was on special came up and it looked great. We shared and still had left overs for dinner tonight. I knew I would not be disappointed.
