I just want to say how disgusted I am with the staff of this establishment after an incident tonight. My girlfriend and I have never before visited this place and will likely never do so now. Our original intention had been to order food for delivery, but when I called I was told that they stopped delivering at 10 pm. No other information was given aside from that. Mind you, I had visited the website beforehand and do not recall any mention of delivery ending at a certain time. However we decided to drive down to dine in. The website stated that the kitchen was open till 1am and by the time we got there, it was just after 12. When we walked in there was no hostess or anyone at the front to greet people. Again, being first timers there, we stood and waited for a few moments till a lady greeted us and asked if she could help us. I asked if they were still serving food, and she said no, that the kitchen closed at 11. I had forgotten that it was Sunday. Though I was annoyed at the situation, it was all an understandable misunderstanding on my behalf and I do not fault the staff for my confusion. My grievance is in the behavior of the staff at the bar when we walked in. See, my girlfriend is pre-op transgender, and was dressed in a rather cute skirt and top. On walking in, the staff as well as a crowded table of people, of which a few seemed to be staff members openly gawked and gave my girlfriend very dirty looks and started to very obviously whisper between themselves. Their lack of control and blatantly rude gestures was extremely emotionally damaging to her. It would have been to anyone on the receiving end of such behavior. Imagine how a visually impaired person would have felt and reacted. To say the least I feel that some serious effort needs to be made in the training and education of the staff there. Being a service industry as such should expect business from people of all walks of life whom all deserve all the same respect. I am extremely shocked, very disappointed and more than a little angry. We will tell our friends, both within the LGBT community and the rest, of this experience.

For the most part, fantastic. I’m a paralyzed disabled veteran so not getting run over by people who seem not to be able to see. Then again, when I have been around blind people, they follow what there dog tells them and I’ve never once been run over by a blind person. My only complaint is that they quit making the only dessert my gf is allowed to eat because of allergies. They used to make these cinnamon brown sugar fried cheesecake filling things that would always get me out of the doghouse when I do dumb things. I’ve not found a replacement yet, but Bruster’s, Carvel and Baskin Robbins has been a lifesaver at times too. Sure hate giving my money to them instead of Kickin Chicken.

I went with a friend of mine and our 6 kids. The server was awesome! We went on a Friday night and we expected to wait. The manager came out with a plate full of bobby fries for the kids, awesome surprise to us! Food came out shortly later. Just a great experience all in all! Thank you so much! We will come back again!

Great location. The wings are to die for. Get them any way you want, right up to really hot. It’s a large place with plenty of breathing room. A good local Bar type. The staff is mostly young, thus not as attentive to customer needs as you might like, except when sitting at the Bar. The tables seem to get less attention to customer needs. Having said all this, I still go again and again, because sometimes good bar food is what you need. Frank G

Went to kicking chickin for a birthday party. We had a large party of about twenty. They were very accommodating our waiter was very friendly. The food was okay,(soup was cold) chickens was your average wings, nothing special. I ordered an Irish coffee, the waiter never hear of it. I told him it was coffee with bailey and Jameson in it. He brought me a coffee with a side shot of baileys and Jameson. Later when we got home I was looking over the bill and I noticed I was charged 6.95 for the Jameson, 6.95 for the baileys and 1.95?for the coffee! A 16.00 Irish coffee! I called to let there manager know and she said that was there price because it’s not on the menu and it’s not one of there speciality drinks? Whatever!

Love the bobby fries and the totchos(tater tot nachos). They have some of the best wings in Charleston(yummm pterodactyl sauce!). I love coming here to watch sports game, and it’s been my go-to to-go order for wings for the super bowl. I like the West Ashley location because they have fun arcade games you can play, cold beer, and clean bathrooms!

We ordered ahead online and the food was ready right as we arrived. There was an issue(my fault) with my payment, so they were able to swipe my card when I arrived with no issues. The teriyaki wings were on point and not overly salty like they tend to be at other places.

Great lunch at the bar with hot, fresh french fries and a steaming buffalo chicken wrap. Service by bartender Kristin was excellent. The experience at the KC is as it should be: friendly attentive service, spicy buffalo chicken, ice cold beer, and sports on TV.

The wings and sauce flavors were very good. Staff was friendly. Get the cheese fries — they were great.

Good food but service is slooooooow and food arrived in shifts. We waited about 25 minutes before any food came, and the first orders, for 2 of our table of 7, arrived a good 10 minutes before the next batch. The restaurant was not at all crowded at the time so not sure what was up.

Great service, best wings in town! Went to kicking chicken at the West Ashley location because it was so close to my house, and I was never disappointed! The server over there are very quick and there then I needed them. Overall I’ll definitely be keep coming back.

I’m a huge KC fan. We usually eat over on James Island, but occasionally, we’ll venture over to the West Ashley location. As always, the food and drinks are great. Weekly and daily specials help to keep things different. Trivia nights are always fun, and there is always something to watch on TV during sports seasons. Menu Highlights: — Flat breads — Wings — The Johnny — Fried Pickles I would have given this location 5 stars, but the staff is noticeably less friendly than the James Island and even Downtown locations. You’ll see other comments from Unilocalers indicating the same thing. Hostesses often don’t acknowledge your presence until you’ve been standing there(in front of them) for several minutes. Wait staff often forgets to refill your drinks, etc. If you’re willing to look past it, though, heading to the WAKC location will do just fine, though, if I had my pick, I’m sticking to the one on the Island :)

Wing special on Monday night is a good deal. Sweet tea is good but the food took a while to come out.

We love all the Kickin Chickens. West Ashley is our top choice because of location. Great sports bars to catch any game or event on TV. Cool atmosphere. It’s laid back and great for any crowd. Lots of different nightly specials so make sure you take advantage of those. Kid’s night. Two for Tuesdays(two drinks, two entrees, one low price) Enjoy the outside patio when the weather is nice. Pick up take out, order delivery, eat in. It’s all delicious.

Good selection of flavors for wings, tenders, nuggets, chicken and more chicken. You can go grilled or fried, wrap or sandwich. Salads topped with… of course… Chicken! Make sure you keep an eye out for specials like 2 for Tuesday… 2 sandwiches, 2 sides and 2 drinks for $ 14.99, can’t beat it. Sign up for a loyalty card for specials and collect 100 points for ten bucks off good and beverages. Desserts aren’t bad either, check out the deep fried chango(fried cheese cake). Great place to watch sports too.

You know, it’s pretty basic(but delicious) food but I’m giving five stars because it is always consistant! And exactly what you ask for. They are super accommodating, have great specials, and it’s really just an all around great go to. We come here often and go to many many other places often and Sara M is legit one of the best severs we have ever had. I just learned her name tonight which is why it took so long for me to give accolades. Seriously, she’s awesome.

Ugh. Horrible service, super long wait, cold fries, and chicken that tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp just a little too long. I love kickin’ chicken, but this one is just God awful. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 minutes to the one on King or Folley. Worth the gas.

Service: 4(especially the hostess, super nice!) Bar: 2(waaaaay too long for a pint for a not packed restaurant) Price: 4 Food: 1−2…honestly, if chicken is in your restaurant name, I want this shit to blow my mind! I had gristle in my chicken cheese steak, Paxton’s chicken nuggets literally tasted like nothing, despite it taking forever to arrive, my fries were cool and not crunchy. Everything needed a salt bath! I mean maybe I just got a meh day but MEH on the food! So, I guess it is my own fault for being desperate to watch some NFL when being far from home, but I mean come on man! CHICKEN is in your name! I get better chicken at Dog and Duck!

A plus is that they are open late on Sunday(i.e., we showed up at 8:30 and didn’t leave until 9:45 — people were still coming in). Our waitress, though very nice, was way overworked. I could see she was responsible for the entire front of the restaurant, as well as the patio(there was a smallish group of fantasy footballers out there). Taking our order took a while, I suspect it took a while for the food to come out because she probably couldn’t put in our order as soon as we gave it to her, and the rest of my antsy party waited outside while I awaited a box and the check. They needed another server for as many tables as she was in charge of, for sure. I ordered the hot buffalo wings, 6 for $ 6.49(note here: more than $ 1 each), and they were small, not at all meaty, dry, and actually chewy(I don’t believe I’ve ever had«chewy» chicken before). The sauce was dried out on the wings themselves, but the only saving grace was that there were tiny pools of sauce below them. We only had 2 silverware rolls at the table, and when we asked for more napkins after the food had been delivered, it took 10 minutes or longer for them to arrive.(I did, however, get my own as I saw them not far from our table.) Mind you, I had ordered wings and bobby fries, my husband had a wrap with fries, and I had my 4– and 5-yo with us – we very obviously would need more than 2 napkins. The hunting game is inaccurate(maybe old?), and the basketballs are flat. It is unfortunate that I just moved to a place where this is our closest restaurant, which means it is inevitable that I will be back, but by someone else’s behest. I wouldn’t recommend at this point.

A good spot for drinks and eats. They have a large variety of great tasting food. It’s a good place to go with a group that’s in the mood for different things. In addition to wings, they have chicken fingers and nuggets that can be dipped in your choice of sauce. They have a variety of sandwiches and wraps. We can’t go without ordering the pretzel appetizer(2 pretzels stuffed with pepper jack cheese). I tried the buffalo flat bread tonight(grilled chicken, buffalo ranch, celery and blue cheese) which was so good(although it’s not spicy).

We walked to the Kickin’ Chicken with our dog and were greeted by a awesome staff willing to cater to us. We found a nice corner spot on the patio filled with a couple groups watching the NFL draft. Our server helped me pick out a beer and brought out a sample of something I loved — White Thai by Westbrook. I ordered chicken nuggets(of gold!) with pterodactyl and hot honey garlic sauces on the side. I love hot sauces and the hot honey garlic was a little too permanent for me. The pterodactyl was a fun combination and I’ll definitely get it again. Nic ordered 12 wings, 6 with hot honey garlic and 6 with hot buffalo sauce. He’s crazy. He loves hot sauce, but he got more than he bargained for. The taste was amazing but be careful if it’s all you’ve eaten since lunch. During our meal we watched the draft and I looked over the menu some more and saw the stuffed pretzel appetizer. Of course I had to order it as dessert. ;-) They are beautiful, and they taste just how you want them to, only better. Heaven in one bite! They were good with a bit of pterodactyl sauce but I bet they’re amazing with honey mustard. The only thing I’d change would be the televisions outside. They echoed each other and it got pretty annoying. If I didn’t have more restaurants to try, I’d eat here all the time.
