The restaurant name says it all! I ordered two donuts and when she realized that one of the donuts she put in the bag was wrong she got the correct one and left the wrong one in the bag. Outside the only thing that needed attention was the trash can outside it was about to overflow. They were busy as always so probably didn’t realize it.

My first visit to this location, only because my wife usually gets here first. I woke up early on Valentine’s Day because my son wanted to surprise his Mom with doughnuts. We made the trek down Savannah Hwy and even though the light wasn’t on, they were in full production. My son claims that this was because it was so busy already and they didn’t want to attract any more attention. He’s 9. The doughnut selection was vast and sweet, with plenty of frosting and sprinkles to go around. Additionally, almost every doughnut was shaped like a heart for the holiday. How sweet. Although there was a line, the staff was friendly, quick, and courteous.

I had never had Krispy Kreme before, but when I drove by the other day the«HOT» sign was on and there wasn’t a line. I knew it was meant to be the day to try one. SOGLAD I DID. Holy cow. Delicious– practically melted in my mouth. The drive thru staff was great– not sure about the inside, didn’t go in.

Best donuts ever! Went late at night and was lucky enough to get the red light, donuts were hot and fresh! Cashier working drive thru was fast and friendly!

The Best doughnuts in the world. Its hard to beat bringing your kids to such an iconic place. Still the basic glazed doughnut fresh out of the oil and off the conveyor belt is the best doughnut you will ever eat.

This was my first Krispy Kreme experience outside the case at the gas station. I was blown away! Their kitchen is open, so you can watch the donuts coming down the line. They have way more options than I realized. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in putting together my order. Among the tasty donuts we sampled were the peach pie, lemon filled, cinnamon bun, apple filled, and of course the traditional glazed. Everything we had was so fresh, soft, delicious… A dozen donuts ran in the $ 10 ballpark. I can’t wait to try their coffee drinks too!

Brought the kids in to see donuts being made. They loved it and picking from the large selection of donuts. I had an iced coffee which was so sugary. The entire place was sticky but we had a nice quick breakfast.

Love their doughnuts! My favorite is the glazed cake. but a hot glazed one can change a persons life! They have remodeled the inside and it looks good. plenty of seating. plus you know when you watch doughnuts being made you re going to buy more, right? I dont seem to have the problem with the staff that other reviewers have had. Some of the ladies I’ve known for years. I love these doughnut so much I wrote a song about them, sung to the tune of the war of 1812– The hot sign came on and the people came a runnin, 6 rows wide and 24 deep they all cried out, I Want My Doughnuts!” Jelly filled and sprinkled and of course the glazed. Hot Now, Hot Now That should make you weepy!

As another reviewer mentioned, when the sign is on, the drive through is a mess! I was too lazy to go in, and it took me over half an hour to get through the drive through! I can’t imagine there isn’t a more efficient way to work the donut line to make that line faster. They didn’t even box my donuts until I pulled up. Not sure if they don’t have enough people working or what(my cashier is also who boxed it). Regardless, that freshly baked original krispy kreme donut is like CRACK! Mmmmmmm sooooo good! I wasn’t even mad about that stupid long wait ha! I was in the area a few days later and decided to stop by again. I decided for some variety this time, getting 4 of the custard filled donuts. My mom, daughter and I call those Boston Cream donuts and looooove them! Imagine our horror when only ONE of the four had custard! One other had a dot(literally) and the other two pretty much had nothing. It was comical! I decided to let Krispy Kreme know the next day. The woman I spoke to was apologetic(though she gave a lame excuse, I’ll forgive not accepting blame) and asked if I wanted replacements. Well just so happens I was going to be in the area that evening so YES, replacements would be lovely. She put me on the phone with Lorenzo the manager who confirmed that wouldn’t be a problem. I went in that evening, asked for Lorenzo. So gracious and kind!!! Very friendly and personable AND replaced my donuts(with a few extra for my trouble). Also as a side note, when I when in the very first time(3 times over the holidays!!), my daughter and her friend were taking pictures of the donut making process and one of the employees joked around with them. All and in, between my interactions with the woman who answered my call, Lorenzo and the employee who wasn’t annoyed with two nosy teens, I was happy with the staff interactions at this location.

Doughnuts were great but service was pitiful… remodeled as a coffee shop but forgot to train the help to prepare coffee! Service is not a function of buildings… it is a function of training.

We drove 17 miles. Got a little turned around, and arrived to barricades blocking the drive way, contractors shooting the **** in the parking lot, and a closed business. No notice through their site, or phone number. So while this could be the best Krispy Kreme of all time, for me it was a major buzz kill. I think the next closest one is some 60+ miles away. I will rerate if it ever reopens for business. We settled on the local markets bakery donuts because the dunkin donuts down the street was missing a key factor… They had no donuts to sell.

Been eating Krispy Kreme for many years. I do swear that they changed their oils for the donuts. They taste a little more oily than before. Maybe it’s my taste buds. But, they are the best. I once finished a box of 12… by myself. Horrible huh? Oh well. get them off the line, much more fresh than from behind the counter. As for the Help, I find, if I go in with a friendly attitude, they respond accordingly. So, smile and give them a «bubbly» attitude, and you will enjoy your purchase. Put yourself in their shoes. Enjoy. frank G

I went on National Hero Day! We got a free dozen of glaze doughnuts for free with a purchased dozen. I really wish I had waited for the Hot Now sign to be on. Didn’t realize they are open like 24 Hours A DAY! What?! Why didn’t I already know this?

I downloaded the Hot Now app the night before planning to go on a quest for what Southerners rave about. Woke up, checked the status a couple of times, finally the light showed as «on» and I made my way from Mount Pleasant to West Ash during morning rush hour. I pulled past the location and had to double back, pulled into the lot, a little busy, I think to myself, «alright, let’s see what the fuss is about». It smelled like heaven inside, the donuts were stocked in the cases and the conveyor was kicking. Like little soldiers making their way from frying to glazing to drying the doughnuts slowly scooted towards packing. The two customers before me both bought several dozen. My turn comes up, I am pleasantly greeted and I order two glazed(knowing already one won’t be enough). I sit down with my tray, I have no idea where the first one went and I see just one on the tray. Fingers sticky, mouth sweet, must’ve inhaled it. I try to eat the second one slower. Nibble, savor, chomp, gone. As they come off the belt they gleam and with a minute on the tray the glaze melts in creating the coating I’ve always seen on Krispys. Already thinking about repeating my trip over again and again. Only divine when hot; otherwise they are just regular glazed donuts.

It’s Krispy Kreme. The staff act like they hate their job, but it’s Krispy Kreme. The donuts are worth it.

Hot and Now, drive thru, service can get a little frazzled. Time before last, donuts not hot. Last time, wrong order(ordered 3 donuts, got 4, charged for 4) but took it anyways as cannot. Resist. Donuts. To make sure you get the best, hottest, crispiest donut, park and go inside. The saddest part is watching the deformed donuts get rejected. I would estimate, for every 100, there are 2 – 3 that don’t look perfect. They go straight into the garbage. I told the workers, I would accept the sub-par donuts. I would open my home, and take in these unwanted, unloved donuts. But, alas, it is against policy. It does seem to be wasteful though.

The battle between Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts seems to be an ongoing feud. Most people definitely prefer one to the other. Me, I’m a fan of donuts in general and Krispy Kreme has always ranked pretty high in my book. What I love about this one in West Ashley is that they seem to almost always have the ‘Hot Now” sign on. A hot, glazed doughnut right off the rack is pure sugar heaven. It melts in your mouth and before you know it, you’ve eaten 3 donuts in the span of 2 minutes. My strategy is to get the hot glazed one which I eat first before it starts cooling down and then a second different donut which I can have immediately after or save it for a couple of minutes/hours if needed. I highly recommend checking out their special doughnut of the month. The best specialty one I’ve had is probably the banana pudding doughnut. The price is good, the people are friendly and the service is pretty fast. I’ve found that I actually get faster service if I go inside as opposed to the drive thru.

I now understand what all the fuss was about. As we rolled into Charleston, the brightly lit now hot sign beckoned our salvation into the ooey gooey goodness which is Krispy Kreme. It was by far the best doughnut I had tasted in my life as it came straight off the assembly line into my eager tastebuds. The regular glazed is simple and perfect.

Absolutely nothing better than hot, fresh donuts. Even if it does feel like I’m giving myself diabetes. Worth every second and every bite. Buy enough to last a few days, they go quick.
