It“s a really large and nice looking trendy spot where if you walk by you couldn’t tell from the outside. They have a lot of locals coming here, plus this place is close to a college campus it can get very full here. Their outdoor patio was just as nice and spacious with a full bar. Great place to go if you have a big group. We went there during happy hour to meet a friend and it was not that crowded yet. There were a few waitresses and they were really attentive. We had great friendly service and good drinks. Happy hour I thought was really a bargain.

I’m at Mynt at least 3 – 4 times a month and I love it. Its usually packed, but it’s downtown, what do you expect? Bouncers and bartenders are always friendly and the DJs are always great!

This place was FILTHY. Bathrooms were disgusting, with broken toilet seats and toilet paper holders. There was toilet paper rolls on the floor (can’t wait to use that). The floor was sticky and there were crumpled up napkins, that looked used, to dry your hands after cleaning. It was just gross, not what you would expect downtown. Not to mention, on A Sunday night, around 10pm, they were out of Jim Beam. How does that even happen? Way too many choices downtown to have to deal with this hot mess.

Cool spot, but racists. A group of my friends, who are young professionals and were dressed as such, came by. First we were told they’re at capacity. But the club was visibly not at capacity. My friend who looked nice but happened to be black wasnt allowed in for his tennis shoes… keep in mind he looked nice otherwise. However, some bummy white guys walked in line and were immediately let in. In raggedy tennis shoes.

Fiancé and I went on a monday during happy hour. Great drink prices for the area! They made a Moscow Mule with Hibiscus vodka that was very delicuous. I loved the flavor that the hibiscus added! We also ordered some baby Guiness, which were shots of Patron XO with baileys on top. The bartenders are great. They also had $ 1 chicken tenders during happy hour so we ordered 5 of those to get a snack in us. All in all, our visit was good and everyone was friendly.
Can’t speak on how it is during the night when it is a nightclub. But during happy hour, A+!

Went for happy hour and the food was phenomenal… However…you must know that you only get happy hour prices at the bar or on one side of the back patio. Not one person told us this as we ordered our food and drinks and only found out because we asked if we were getting happy hour prices. Had to speak to the manager and let them know they should tell people this as they are seating them so they know which side of the restaurant to sit. It’s weird that the whole place doesn’t get the happy hour prices and that was very off putting… but we will go again because the food was really good!

Rating on drinks. Came in on a Friday at 6:30 and ordered a mojito and Raspberry Stilletto. Both drinks got half a shot of liquor in them ($ 8 n $ 9 a piece) and the blue carocao was not even in the raspberry drink per the menu. Then the bartender said he created the drink! Ummm sir I believe you forgot how to make a drink and you need to practice your pours or measure them. I at least expect a shot of liquor in a drink. Guess why there was only 2 people in the place with a dog (is this allowed in Charleston when you serve food?!)

It is SO much better now. We usually go on Thursday nights because that’s the best night, in my opinion as far as music. It’s best if you get there before 10 PM or you will be waiting in line forever. We usually get there early so we don’t have to deal with that. Usually, they would have two bartenders behind the main bar which is the busiest and it would take half a century to get a drink. Now, they have four bartenders which is SO convenient and they are slinging out drinks left and right. Sometimes the DJ’s are a hit or miss but Mynt is still one of the nicer, cleaner places to party.

The service at this bar was phenomenal. My party had reserved a «vip» area and the bar tender taking care of us was amazing! The service at this place definitely made a difference in the amount of fun that was has. Well done, Mynt. Well done!!!

First time we’d ever been was last night and we stayed from about 10 until almost closing time. It was wonderful! Great service, great atmosphere, great drinks, great music, a grea time! We will return!!!

They have a great patio out back. We went early before all of the drunk shenanigans started happening and it made me appreciate Mynt more. I wish smoking wasn’t aloud but I wish that everywhere. Their happy hour drinks are a pretty good deal.

Don’t judge by the front door, it opens up nicely and they have a nice courtyard out back.
It’s a great watering hole just off the beaten path and not too much competition nearby.
Average to above average drink prices.
We had a bit if an issue, a few super drunks came in with attitude towards the ladies in our group, management was quick to squash that!

My wife and I went into mynt on a Wednesday night an hour before closing. It was fairly dead and normally a bartender or server would do anything they could to get you to keep going or have one drink and leave. This was not the case Erica and Robert welcomed us made drink, beer and wine suggestions and never made us feel rushed. Super nice people the Moscow Mule is delicious — but ask for it w bourbon instead of vodka for a twist. Overall good drinks great service.

Heard Mynt was the place to go if you wanted to dance. It wasn’t very crowded for a Friday night because of a new dress code. A friend asked the bouncer about it and he said they had turned away about 80 people. There’s a DJ who plays mashups of top songs. The patio is nice outside if you want to take a break and have a conversation. We had vip service which was nice but it was just a roped off corner of the place: nothing fancy. Overall for a night out of dancing, it won’t exceed expectations but it’s alright. If they keep turning away so many people, it will lose the flair of a nightclub and turn into a middle school dance.

Not a fan, although not sure how many dance clubs there are in CHS. Went on a Saturday night. There was a little line and $ 10 cover. I was definitely in the older age group there, at 27. The DJ was possibly the worst I’ve ever heard. Mixing songs with BPMs that didn’t match, playing Hanson, (Yes hanson) and mixed Sandstorm with the Lion King. He was bopping his head with his headphones on like he was playing some hard core EDM, while playing Celebration. If you ever been to a real club in a major city, set your expectations very low for this place and pray they have a different DJ.

We decided to try this spot out late Saturday night. We arrived a little after midnight. Stood in like for a few minutes before getting inside. We could hear the music and see the crowd inside while waiting. The music kept them moving. The crowd was a mix from early 20s to 30s. Music was hip hop, rap, r&b and pop.
I really liked the space. The inside had a large bar with a few small spaces with a couch that they said was VIP. The outdoor space had a bar and tables.
We had a great time. The music was pretty good and the crowd was cool.

Mynt is interesting. It is not the same as going to O-​Ku where you have a mix of this and that. Mynt is more yuppy-​ish with horrible mixes of old skool hip-​hop and rap being turned into dance music.
The DJ flat out sucked. The prime reason no one was dancing was because there wasn’t anything worth dancing to. It was pretty depressing and we didn’t stay long which was fine by me.
What positive I can say is I like the space and drinks. They know how to make a solid martini. It tasted great and wasn’t weak nor too alcoholicy tasting. A good balance of ingredients.
They have several bars. The place is narrow and goes pretty far bar. There is the main front bar which is fairly large and accommodates what I assume most of the business; a small bar past the bathroom that is cash only; then an outside bar with patio space.
It is more a casual place than putting on your Sunday best.
