So this review isn’t about the product, its about the customer service. First of all, the lady who was actually serving me was really nice. It was the man who went out of his way to stop working to come up and tell me to ‘control my dog’, who by the way, was going up to the customers behind me and just being curious and saying hello, not trying to jump the counter and get to him. For the record, my dog wasnt trying to jump on anyone or being rowdy, he is just curious at times and likes to sniff people. He’s never had any trouble at the farmers market or second sunday and people come up to me all the time asking to pet him and tell me how much of a sweet dog he is. Even the police officers patrolling the farmers market were friendly with him. On top of all this, he goes on to tell me how ‘i wasnt even trying to control him’. My dog’s leash was around my arm the whole time, I did have control of my dog. If he did try to jump, i could feel and pull him back if needed. Secondly, I’m pregnant, I’m not going to strain myself if I don’t deem necessary. Third, I was preoccupied with trying to pay for my drink and put away my wallet, so not all of my attention was on my dog, just enough to sense if he did anything out of line. Lastly, the customers behind me didnt seem to have a problem with him, and if they did, I would have gladly pulled him in and apologized to them for my dog bothering them. Then he goes on to tell me that ‘youre perfectly capable even though you are pregnant, and that you should be the dog’s master, and that if you cant control your dog, you shouldnt be here’. He was rude, unprofessional, and has no place telling customers, especially if they are pregnant or otherwise, what they are capable of and where they should or should not be. He is perfectly capable of keeping his comments to himself and actually doing his job, which should have been making smoothies or juicing whatever drinks the customers behind me wanted, NOT commenting on my dog. Unfortunately I had already paid or else I would have brought my money elsewhere.

Love it! Wish there was one of these near my house. The Green Lantern & Watermelon Frescas completely hit the spot!

YUM! And welcome relief to the blazing heat after walking around for hours and enjoying the stalls of the Farmers Market. Easy decision. Get a cold juice or smoothie.

Here’s an example of where it pays off to check out a place that had something you didn’t like before. Last year, when I first encountered The Juice Joint, I was thrilled. Everything looked fabulous, except that they were using latex/natural rubber gloves in the preparation of their juices. The problem for me is I have a serious(as in stop breathing) reaction when I come in contact with latex, so anything prepared using them would be contaminated by the gloves, and could be detrimental, even deadly, to me. So, I was unhappy, but did buy the occasional juice for my beloved when down at the farmer’s market.(It unfortunately, meant I couldn’t kiss him for a bit, too, because latex on the lips would be a killer, so I didn’t get him *too* many juices.) He said they were delicious, whenever I did get them, though. Fast forward to this year at the market. I did buzz by the booth, just to check and see what was up. And YAY! They’ve gone latex-safe! I’m happy to report, first hand, that The Juice Joint makes some fantabulous juices, smoothies, etc, and though they have an extensive and varied menu, will adjust to your food needs. Am I happy? Hell, yes!
