Pride Conditioning

Came here for an aerial silks class, which was a fantastic class so that is the only reason I give 2 stars. The gym itself is the reason why I am not going back, it was hot and muggy, very dirty and cluttered. There was constantly crap sticking to my feet, and before even starting the exercise I was sweating and feeling nauseous. No air conditioning, no water fountain, very dirty. Nope, not the place for me.

Intense — Motivating — Results! I will perhaps never go back to a typical gym doing the same olé’, same olé’ ever again.
So, I was getting bored with my workouts and was seeing zero progress or motivation. I just HAD to switch it up!
A coworker and I went to Pride Conditioning for a CHANGE!~ and that is exactly what we got… CHANGE.
Been going there for about 2 months now… so it’s safe to write a fair and objective Review.
The first day I walked in to observe a class, I was blown away at what the participants were doing in Bootcamp. It was functional training at it’s finest! I met Doug the owner… and he invited me to try a «First Class for Free». (There was absolutely NO hard pressure sales). The next day, I arrived and experienced one of the most intense yet manageable workouts I have had in a long time. Workout 1 … I was addicted (and sore for a few days… well, OK… ALL WEEK!). It was the «good kind» of sore… and I went back for more.
I attend the 9AM MWF Boot Camp Class and the Tues/​Thurs Redline High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class. Great blend of Cardio and Strength training!
NO TWO CLASSES ARE EVER THE SAME! You never know what you are going to get, but you can always bet that it’s going to be good for sure.
NO NEED TO BE INTIMIDATED! There are people of all different fitness levels in the classes. Everyone encourages each other … all the way to the finish! It’s a total «community feel»… yet not «cultish» like some other places. For Safety, Doug and his team show proper form and technique to accompany the workout.
WHAT I LIKE BEST!: My clothes fit differently, my shape is changing, and I’m in a much better place mentally and emotionally! … and people notice!
What sucks about this place… Well… NOTHING SUCKS ABOUT THIS PLACE! (except when the workout is finished… but, that doesn’t suck either because I feel so good!)
Pride Conditioning is a great place to work out with fun/​encouraging members and staff. It’s definitely worth checking out!
Just SHOW UP! There is no better time than the present! Experience the change!

I’ve been going to this gym for 3 years. If you do the work, you will see the results!
There are various classes depending on your personal desire. Bootcamp is the best all around fitness class and will get you in shape fast! Just be prepared to sweat as the gym is open air and hot in the summer.

Pride Conditioning is the truth! Starting off I couldn’t even run a mile. Now I can do 3+ without much difficulty. The secret is they keep it really simple and teach you how to lift properly along with a solid dose of encouragement and tough love.

Never going back to a regular gym.
Metabolic and functional strength training at its finest. Do not be intimidated by the workouts, as you can progress safely at your own pace.

I apprehensively approached boot camp at Pride Conditioning, with only my fear of letting a Groupon deal go to waste motivate me through the door. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The first class kicked my tail, and I hated every single minute I was there, sweating and gasping for breath. However, I stuck it out and went back for class two, which led to three and so forth. The amount of running is minimal, and the circuit training structure keeps things fresh and quick. Doug doesn’t yell (one of my biggest boot camp fears), and the workouts are structured for both beginners and advanced. Best of all, I saw changes to my body and muscle composition quickly. When my 12 class pass ran out, I found myself buying another one — perhaps the biggest and best testiment to how I feel about Pride Conditioning.

I found this Boot Camp online before my visit to Charlotte over the Holidays. It was goood. He changed workout everyday that I went. It is $ 15.00 for the drop-​in per class. I am will definitely be back on my next visit to Charlotte, NC.

Doug’s Boot Camp is great! I highly recommend it. The workouts are easily personlized to your fitness level.
