Good late night spot, but does not even compare to Mellow Mushroom, IMO.

We love Christian’s– it’s the best pizza in cville my opinion. There’s always a variety of flavors for individual slices– not just cheese and pepperoni!

Well, it is better than Papa Johns, Dominos, and marginally better than Mellow Mushroom, but I’m partial to thin crust. I probably fucked up by ordering the Artichoke & Spinach which has feta on it, because the artichokes(which I think were canned) and the feta together were way too salty. My barometer for pizzas is, if I still feel like eating slices past when I’m full(likely eating the whole pizza if I am unobserved), then it was good or great. If I stop after the second slice it wasn’t. With this pizza I considered stopping at the second slice, but ate one more for good measure. That probably means three stars.

It’s a great go-to place for late night food! Even when the line is long, the service is pretty quick and there is usually seating. I always either order the Hawaiian or the one with artichoke, spinach, and tomatoes. Not the best pizza there is, but it’ll satisfy your stomach and munchies for a very affordable price!

My hubby and I ate here around 10:00 pm on a Wednesday night. We almost skipped this place because of the mediocre star-rating on Unilocal. We were so glad we gave them the benefit of a doubt. We ordered a whole pie at $ 20 with any topping — half Supreme and half Margherita. The pizza was DELICIOUS! They have oregano as a condiment and it really kicked up the flavor. The young man behind the counter did not seem too enthused to be there, and after we waited for our pizza(about 20 minutes) and saw at least a dozen customers order slices, we understood why. The customers were probably all college students from the university and were rude and condescending towards him. What a shame. ANYWAY, if you’re in the mood for pizza — this is a good spot. Hit it up!

Great product, decent prices but… It’s just the lack of consistency that bugs me. Four restaurants supposedly the same and yet they’re not. Downtown and the Corner are very close and they usually get their pizza recipes the same all the time, but Forest Lakes and Pantops it’s like a different restaurant, and they’re not even the same as each other and they can’t even do their own pizzas consistently. A particular pizza recipe at one is completely different at the other, and both of these locations can’t make the same pizza recipe consistently. And I’m just talking about a cheese pizza. Poor management, poor training, maybe too much turnover. Very disappointing. And it’s sad, too, because the pizza’s so good downtown and on the Corner.

Very affordable. The pizza, I can only describe as a crunchy New York style. They have a nice combo of ingredients that you usually don’t find in a pizza by the slice joint. Great location.

This is the best late night pizza spot. There’s nothing like the crispy crust and chunky fresh toppings fired in the oven to order. I always grab a slice when attending an alumni event at UVA. I love the spicy chicken and peppers and the tomato, mozzarella and basil!!!

Another late night establishment downtown, with pizza that is good not great, but I’m sure really hits the spot at 2AM. I think I made the mistake of coming here really early(10PM) and sober. Pizza ranges from $ 2 – 3 depending on the amount of toppings. It’s made fresh then reheated in the oven for a few minutes before they serve it to you. The slice I had — ham and pineapple — wasn’t too bad but wasn’t too great either. The crust was crispy, but the toppings were lacking and there wasn’t enough cheese or sauce. Overall it’s just meh — I imagine after a night of drinking I would be giving this place five stars.

Disclaimer: I would actually give Christian’s 3 ½ stars instead of four, but I rounded up as it truly has become my go-to for late-night food in Cville. Why I wouldn’t go here during the day-time– The place is a bit divey. And I’m usually not a thin crust fan and it’s overall a bit greasy. Redeeming qualities– Lots of topping options, open after bars close, decent quality for already being prepared as they heat it up in the oven right before you take it away, and an affordable price considering the ginormous size of the slice. For lunch or dinner, I would definitely still go to Mellow Mushroom’s, but for a late-night snack, Christian’s does the job.

Cheap, fast, and good. Its tempting to try their specialty pizzas, but I’ve found that the pepperoni is by far my favorite.

I might be the only person in this world that do not like pizza. I do not have a taste for them and they have never appealed to me. Most of the time, I rather starve than to pick up a slice. That was until a friend dragged me here during my visit to UVa back when I was deciding if I wanted to attend school here. Just a note about my first visit, I was sober. So alcohol did not influence how I felt about my first slice here. My very first CP slice was the avocado, tomato and feta pizza and the crust was amazing. I don’t know what they have in that dough but it has the perfect crunch and doughiness to it. The toppings were generous as well, they don’t seem to scrimp on those. Priced under $ 6 for a very large slice with a drink, it’s like a college student’s dream meal. I’ve brought friends who have came to visit to this place and they all love it. It is quick, cheap and delicious. And for pizza lovers, I must assume this place is like their heaven. So why not 5 stars? Although the pizza in my mind is excellent and perhaps will be the only place I’ll eat my pizzas from, it is not a place that you can really sit down to enjoy your pizza. The place is set up for you to grub and leave unless you want to listen in on some really awkward and inappropriate conversations. The seating isn’t made to be comfortable for a meal longer than 20 minutes. And they seem to really dislike it when you use your debit card for transactions. Not to mention, the bathrooms need some serious work. It’s a problem if I have to eat my pizza with a knife and fork because I can’t stand using their bathroom to wash my hands.

Great late night eats. I probably chose the most simplistic pizza tomato mozzarella and basil. But it still taste amazing the tomatoes were fresh and and so was the basil. You could defiantly taste the acidity and sweetness of the tomato. The pizza had a nice crunch on the bottom even with the juice drippings of the tomato. They have a great variety of pizza. Some interesting ones were their Mediterranean, tortellini, and chicken parmesan. overall a great place to grab a quick bite and I’ll definitely be returning for another Alice or two the next time in cville.

Christian’s Pizza is a UVA Corner staple. The pizza may not be «Mellow quality,» but there’s nowhere better if you’re looking to grab a quick slice. The pizza is pre-prepared — just select what you’d like, they’ll heat it up, and you’ll be out the door in minutes. If you’re looking to stray from traditional cheese pizza, tomato-avocado is the only way to go. Christian’s is also the ideal late-night, post-bars food. Beware, the line will generally wrap around the restaurant at 2AM, and you may get yelled at by the owner at the register, who is friendly during the day but becomes(understandably) rude at night. Pro-tip: Avoid the line by buying a full pie. It’s just 11 bucks for a cheese pie, and you can go directly to the right side of the register. Plenty of seating, inside and outside.

We have been to Charlottesville, VA two years in a row now and both times we stopped in for a slice of pizza from Christian’s and each time it was really great pizza! Not the typical mall type pizza. The crust is crispy with lots of different flavors to choose from. Stays open late which is always good for an after hours craving.

The people who work here are really friendly! Pizza here is always delicious and cheap. Also be prepared for a wait on weekend nights(past 10 or 11pm) as this place on the Corner is a go-to for drunk partiers. Beware though: they don’t like if you try to pay with a credit/debit card if your total comes out to be less than $ 7(or $ 5, something like that).

OVERHEARDATCHRISTIANS: 2am. The line snakes out the door. Two bros are brawling over a taxi cab while their lady friends are sitting on the curb outside of Boylan’s and clutching their stomachs. Finally, the two guys just hop into the cab together and speed off; one girl looks up and plaintively mewls, «Where did they go?» Older Man: Honey, I think next time we should try X Lounge. Older Woman: I’m not comfortable watching you try to dance. I want to go home. Older Man: Honey, what are you talking about? I’m a perfectly good dancer. Older Woman: I hate your pelvic thrusts. I hate your gyrating. I hate how you throw your hands in the air. I want to smack you. Drunk Girl:(leaning in and leering) I like his pelvic thrusts. I like how it feels in my hand. Sorority Leader: Which one should I get? Which one should I get? Dammit, are you listening to me? Sorority Minion: Get the avocado and feta one. Sorority Leader: Whore, you know avocado isn’t good for *gestures to her crotch area* Sorority Minion: It’s okay, just rub it on later. Sorority Leader: Right, avocado’s just like aloe, right? Bro 1: I’ve been losing a lot of weight lately. Bro 2: *silence* Bro 1: I think it’s all the huge dumps I’m taking. They’re really making me lose weight. Bro 2: *silence* Bro 1: I take one dump in the morning and then two dumps at– Bro 2: Would you shut the fuck up? I’m trying to eat my chicken here. Oh my god, I’m taking a tape recorder here next time.

It’s good pizza with quick service. I think the ratings are a bit skewed because it gets a lot of business late at night when not much else is open. It’s still a local favorite of mine although I prefer deep dish.

I would consider myself a pizza expert. Just look at all the Jersey pizza places i’ve Unilocaled.(Free compliment for the first one to come up with the number!) This place was very good. Had the BBQ Chicken Pizza which had pieces of bacon sprinkled all over it. Just the toppings itself automatically gave it 3 stars. Then the crust was crispy and the slice was large. VERYGOOD Pizza. I could see how these college students would be addicted to this pizza.

I don’t know why nobody’s reviewed this location yet. Have they got it confused with the one downtown? Anyways, this little place on the Corner is always packed at night with bar-goers. This place is designed for the long lines though, so accommodating so many people is not a problem! The pizza here is so nice when it’s hot out of the oven(which it is). It’s crust is crispy and served in large Costco-sized slices. And so many varieties to choose from! The hawaiian pizza is packed with large slices of ham and chunks of pineapple. So delicious, which is why it’s always packed. The spicy chicken and peppers is topped with flavorful, moist pieces of chicken and fresh, fresh green and red peppers. Personally, I prefer the pizza here to Mellow’s. For the quality, flavors, sizes, and price. About $ 3 here for a large slice of pizza! Awesome!
