delicious food, very vegan friendly. Their thai wrap with tofu and thai peanut soup is AMAZING!

If you want super simple and casual food that’s still pretty damn good then hit this joint up. My friends tell me that this place is good cheap food, I agree on the good part but not really sure about the cheap. It’s not THAT cheap. I mean it could be worse but it’s not entirely inexpensive, I would say. My favorites are the gourmet grilled cheese and the crab chowder. When I first tried the lamb curry I was like, «YAS», but the second time I got it, it was very watery and didn’t have the same flavors as when I got it the first time. So from that experience, it seems that they have some issues with consistency but other than that, good place to pick up quick, yummy food.

A soup place on the Corner that offers a few different choices ranging from tomato bisque to crab soup. I’ve been here a handful of times and felt that the food was decent but have yet to really crave more. I like that they have meal combinations between a soup and sandwich, or a salad and soup. It makes it easier to try a few different things at once. I ordered a BLT wrap which was modest for the price but had very tasty crunchy bacon inside. My friend ordered the quesadilla which was made with a hearty serving of spicy black beans and cheese and a side of salsa and sour cream. I really liked that they offered complimentary apples with a meal purchase as well as water cups by the soda fountain. The interior had neat retro TWA posters from different cities and the bulletin board by the front had a lot of upcoming events posted. I like that there is plenty to look at while waiting in line during a lunch rush. The seating is usually readily available and the long tables make it a good choice for groups.

Easy, yummy, healthy, mostly reasonably priced. Soups, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. I enjoy the mushroom wrap, but the portion is fairly small without anything else. A cup of soup + salad or soup + wrap combo is $ 8.50 or so. It’s a nice place for a quick bite but nothing super special.

I’ve been a Rev Soup fan for years, and they’re my favorite restaurant on the Corner. They offer lots of interesting, healthy options that are vegetarian-friendly, are reasonably-priced, and have an inviting atmosphere with free wi-fi. Very few – if any – non-coffee houses on the Corner offer free wi-fi, and this bonus really makes Rev Soup a great place to work during off-hours(they can be extremely busy during the 12 – 1:30PM lunch slot). The pick-two special is my go-to meal option, and I usually rotate between a few favorite combinations. The Lamb Curry and Spicy Senegalese Peanut Tofu soups are my favorite soups on the regular menu, but the Cheddar Ale, Butternut Squash, Pumpkin, and Hungarian Mushroom soups from the seasonal menu are excellent as well. The Thai Wrap with tofu and Wild Mushroom Wrap are the best wraps from the menu in my opinion. Pretty much everything is good here, though: I’ve rarely tried an item that I didn’t like! I recently ordered Rev Soup to cater lunch for the bridal party during my wedding, and they didn’t disappoint in this regard, either! Even though I didn’t get around to placing my order until the week of the wedding, Rev Soup was prompt and courteous about responding to me, and they made placing the order and setting up delivery a breeze(a definite plus for a harried bride!). The wraps and soups were a perfect pre-wedding light lunch, and everyone loved them.(My out-of-town bridesmaids even made a special point to comment afterwards about how great the lunch was!) I decided to add some Banana Cranberry Pecan and Buckwheat Chocolate Chip cookies to my order in case anyone needed a sweet fix, and boy, were those cookies amazing! My father-in-law finished off the few cookies left over after the bridal party was done with them. Definitely consider Rev Soup if you’re looking for an easy, yummy catering option for light meals.

First time we ever had Revolutionary Soup was at the Pedestrian Mall in Downtown C-Ville and since we were back in town again we tried this different location and it didn’t disappoint! They always have the largest selection of fresh soups and sandwiches(wrap, Paninis, etc) made from fresh, VA-sourced products. They are more than happy to describe their menu to you and provide you with free samples to help you make a decision as well! On this trip, the velvety lemon chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup and blackbean-spinach wrap are what we tried. All were amazing! Give them a try!

Neat soup-special place! Have never seen a soup kitchen before and liked the idea. Tucked away in the Corner, they have a good range of soups, of course! Need to go back and try all the different, interesting flavours! Came here for their cool lunch special which was a really great grilled cheese sandwich(Classic American style!) with a soup and drink! Such an awesome student special! I’ve been here a couple times as it’s a quick/healthy/nearby option during my workday. Although, I definitely prefer the Downtown Mall location. I’ve had a variety of food including the Student Special of the tomato basil and grilled cheese, the ½ wrap(wild mushroom) and side salad(baby spinach) combo, and the soup/salad combo of Roquefort Salad and gazpacho. The service is always fast and friendly at both locations, but the menu variety and quality of food seems a step above at the Downtown Mall.

The minute you walk in, indie rock & soul playing — gives you some idea how this place defines itself. If there is a type called indie restaurant, revolutionary soup would be it. Nothing too fancy, but simple, fresh, homemade tasty. I’ve tried most of their soups, they won’t fail you. The typical combo for me is small house salad(I don’t like over-dressed salad, this is perfect!) and clam chowder. Just tried out the shrimps & grits today, yummy!

Oh Rev Soup, your food never lets me down. I usually visit the Downtown Mall location, but I happened to be at the Corner last week so I checked out this one for the first time. The verdict? Good, but not as good as the downtown spot. Same delicious menu(emphasis on the delicious), but I prefer the vibe and layout of the other location. This one clearly caters to students — I mean, it’s only a few steps off«grounds»(see? I can use the correct language, even though I didn’t go to UVA) so it makes sense. When I stopped in for a late afternoon wrap, there were a few students camped out studying and a few others grabbing snacks. I could see this being super popular and busy during a normal meal hour, so I’m glad I stumbled in during an off time. I opted to try the local spiced grilled tofu wrap and it totally hit the spot. I ordered the small, and I devoured it so quickly in the car that I kinda wished I had chosen the large. Maybe that’s just because I was totally famished… or maybe it’s because the tofu paired with the slightly spicy curried dijon was just that tasty. Probably both. The tofu wrap wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever had from Rev Soup, but it was good and worth repeating sometime when I’m in the mood for tofu. If you’ve never tried this staple spot, you’re missing out.

We loved our soup! We ordered the spicy peanut soup, crab and corn chowder and basil tomato bisque. All of them were superb. We got the small size and all three of us were pleasantly full. A hard roll comes with the bowl of soup. We also got the blue cheese and walnut salad. All of which is from local farms to the best of their ability. Clean eating at it’s best. If I lived closer I would live at this restaurant.

I ordered peanut tofu soup, but I had to put some extra salt and pepper and sriracha to have some. more extra kick! I loved that I coould feel full of peanut flavor. Ham and brie wrap was also good.

Seriously good Tomato Bisque Soup with a classic Grilled Cheese for a $ 6.00 filling lunch. Perfect for these chilly Autumn days. You know it’s good and affordable: It’s always got a steady lunch crowd and they’ve got a nice ordering system to keep the people and food moving. Nice job!

Nom. The soups here are incredible. I personally go for the butternut squash bisque, but the chili or lamb curry are definitely a great options if you want something with a bit of spice. Honestly, there is something on the menu for almost anyone. Rev Soup is definitely a must for anyone looking for a quick bite in Charlottesville!

Ew just ew. I don’t know how this place gets such great reviews. I got soup and a quesadilla when I came here. The quesadilla was so burnt that it was black on the bottom and inedible. The soup didn’t have much flavor and was pretty bland. Will not be returning.

If you want to pay for overpriced sandwiches that take a while to get, this is the place to go. Soup is great, but often I’ve come here and they’re out of what I want. I’d say there are better places to go if you’re Vegan, vegetarian, or looking for organic food.

A little overrated in my opinion but a good place to grab lunch with a of couple friends. They boast about using local and organic products and the vibe here is very hipster-ish. I like that they do take that extra time and effort to source their ingredients from the Cville area. Are the soups that revolutionary though? In my opinion, not really. –Tomato Basil Bisque– The tomato bisque is very satisfying for a chilly– the soup and sandwich made a nice combo. The soup was pretty mellow and I was expecting a little bit more richness and flavor since it was a bisque. It is creamier than a regular tomato soup but not my much. The soup was $ 4.50 got me a 12oz portion of soup in a little paper to-go container which I thought was pretty fair. –Croque Monsieur– The sandwich was about $ 7 and was smaller than I was expecting. It was kinda just a thin, crispy sandwich with too much mustard on it. It did pair well the the soup but I would not get it again. Food: 3.5 Value: 3 Service: 3 Overall: 3

Food 5 stars; location 3.5. Spicy Senegalese Tofu soup is the bomb! I would definitely rate the soup itself a 5, but the space is cramped and often untidy. I also love the grilled cheese sandwich with red peppers… Definitely recommend it.

It was a crisp fall night and towards the end of my run, I passed by this soup place. I walked in and the aromas were so good I decided hey, why not, I’ll just walk the rest of the way back to the Cavalier Inn. I tried the Senegalese Peanut Soup and it was actually spicy. Not omg my mouth is on fire spicy, but wonderfully balanced spicy. The service was really friendy. And ok yeah the décor leaves something to be desired, but hey it’s a college spot.

This is the Corner location. I had quite a pleasant food experience here. Pretty fast, yummy, and well-portioned. Power to the lone girl up front and guy in back to handle such a large crowd of lunch-goers. I got the Fresh Mozzarella Salad. Dressing came on the side so I could add as much or as little as I liked. Mozzarella was mostly fresh and the spring greens were very fresh. Also got the Rosemary Potato Soup. Creamy, but not sickenly so. Nicely flavored with chunks of potatoes. Served with a fresh baked sourdough roll that I quite liked. Wonderful combinations of local ingredients.
