The location is fantatic on JPA, allowing me to walking anout 10 min to get there. The food selection is plentiful, esp if I need. something cheap but not breakfast food. They have Greek food on the menu which all looks very affordable and delicious. I had the continental platter and it was more than enough to fill me up. The service was decent, we didn’t wait long for a table or to be served or to get our food! Def coming back today I’m pretty sure ;D

It’s hard to find a good biscuits and gravy for me. Coming from the South you just can’t find anything like home! Well coming here on a quick doctors appointment my fiancé and I are spending the weekend. Read all of the good reviews. We had to try it. And once I saw the large order of biscuits and gravy and they arrived to my table it tasted like home! Amazing! Egg-celent ;) but really the eggs and everything I had was amazing. Thank you for making me feel at home!

Great food, but even better service. I called in a to go order first thing in the morning, and the food was ready in five minutes. Pancakes were great, and the healthy start was excellent. Loved the grits. I spoke to the daughters of the owners, who took my order and helped get my large order together. You could tell how much pride they take in the food and environment.

I had a good old-fashioned pancakes and eggs breakfast. One of the best I have ever had. The pancakes were just right, the eggs were the best I have ever had in a restaurant, and the maple syrup was unusually good. Great coffee too.

Food was ok. Service was slow and I had to ask for cream, butter and ketchup. I had the continental breakfast Pancakes were good but the eggs came as a sheet of paper and the home fries were undercooked Will not come back.

Service was slow and food was okay. Overall very average. No one was in a hurry to help you. The waitress got our order wrong. Will not go back.

Comparing this place to a Waffle House is ridiculous! The food here is handcrafted and delicious with real Belgian waffles, terrific omelets, great sausage patties, home fries to die for, and simply the best breakfast you can imagine! I rate it as the best breakfast in Charlottesville! Never tried the lunch menu as I can’t get enough of the breakfast.

I’ve been here a few times now, and am glad to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. From what I’ve been able to tell, the breakfast food/coffee is pretty standard diner quality. What stands out to me, though, is the Greek food sprinkled throughout their menu. I thoroughly enjoyed their Greek omelet and Gyro pita. Additionally, the employees there are very friendly!

Very solid breakfast place! This place is very roomy and has a nice homey feel. I thought the coffee was a little watery but the food was delicious! Perfect for when you just want classic breakfast food done right.

Good basic breakfast. Had the continental platter with eggs, sausage, home fries and pancakes. Home fries need more seasoning. We’ll be adding this place to our portfolio of breakfast places.

Good basic breakfast place, clean and reasonable service. Not fancy, but could benefit from some additions, like being able to poach eggs or having cheddar cheese option for omelettes. Food was good and coffee refills plentiful.

Good, solid breakfasty foods with a bit of a Greek twist. Chilled out ambiance with friendly staff. Better than ihop or Waffle House… and a heckuva lot more convenient too. The only downsides: closes early and not available as a food truck on the Corner at 1 am.

Average breakfast place. Didn’t blow my socks off but did get my fed with the quality that expected. So all in all content. I’ll say it again, needs more lighting.

Have been wanting to try this place since it opened right down the street from my place on JPA. I got the Belgian Waffle with scrambled eggs and American cheese, and bacon on the side. Everything was delicious! Establishment was very clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the prices were very affordable! I would recommend this place to anyone for a tasty and quick breakfast.

If a prerequisite for a good bfast place is that it could cameo in sex in the city as the girls newest brunch spot, then this is not for you. If you require crème fraîche prepared 10 different ways on your egg dishes, you will be outta luck here. And yea, if you need organic, free range, cruelty free, Yada Yada Yada options, then no dice. If however, you appreciate very good, all American breakfast(there is also a Greek flair to the menu but I haven’t tried it yet) then this is your spot. Pancakes? Hot and fluffy. Scrambled eggs and home fries? Yummo. Coffee? Yup. I for one will be returning often not just for what it is, but also for what it isn’t. Sometimes you just feel like good old fashioned breakfast!

The Breakfast House just opened up in our neighborhood and its going to be a nice, easy addition to add to our list of low-key(and walkable) joints for breakfast on the weekends. The staff was very new but very friendly and helpful getting us a highchair for our son. Coffee refills on the reg too! I had strawberry pancakes and my husband had some pancake/egg/potato ensamble. Everything was great, nothing super fancy or unique… just good old fashioned breakfast, think like waffle house but clean, very clean! The price is right too, I think my pancakes were $ 5.50. If you are a person that«does brunch», dont do brunch here… come here and eat your breakfast. The menu has a greek angle too it, homemade Greek bread, lots of feta options, spinach, etc. Also breakfast and lunch are served all day! Im going to come back to try one of their hot sandwiches.

The prices are not high, but you are better off just staying home and making yourself breakfast. It’s not bad, but there is absolutely nothing special here worth driving over for. My group tried over easy eggs(cooked properly, not organic of free range of anything special like that just standard eggs), whole wheat toast(they took bread out of the bag from the grocery store and toasted it without burning it or applying butter or anything, you can choose from white or wheat and that’s it), an omelette(light on the non-egg ingredients), the Greek breakfast platter(the«huge» spanakopita was just a normal small triangle), and a waffle(plain waffle, was cooked without being burned). There was absolutely nothing special here. I love breakfast food and brunch places, but I will not return here even though it’s right near my house. There was nothing creative or special on the breakfast menu. The fruit comes from a can. The prices were low which earned them a star. I don’t feel swindled, just let down. The staff was all very young and still learning the register. They kept the coffee refills coming which gets them star number two. There are lots of places in town to choose from that have fun creative spins on local ingredients. Better to support this place than a chain restaurant for sure, but even better: go somewhere more exciting. Sorry. :(

I was going to go to Subway but I remembered this place opened up so I decided to go here instead. This is one of the best life choices that I have made besides taking out no loans for my college education. The servers were awesome, warm, friendly, and just really pleasant. I’ve never left anywhere smiling because the people were just so darn nice. The food was good, maybe a 3.5 our of 5. It’s not gourmet and I am too used to gourmet, but it was fresh and I ate everything I ordered(eggs, pancakes, bacon, tater tots). If you don’t spend all of your money going out to eat like me you might rate this place 4 out of 5 on the food scale. Overall I had a great experience and I will be back.
