La Liegeoise Waffles

The one waffle that I always order is the berries waffle (strawberries, blueberries with whipped cream and comes with a caramel drizzle). The presentation is so cute and the waffle tastes amazing. I think the waffle is a bit small to be priced at $ 7-​$ 8, but it’s worth it if you really like sweets like I do!

Pretty tasty and a niche most haven’t taken advantage of. This place has an abundance of sweet and savory topped belgian waffles and crepes; strawberries, bananas, apples, nutella, nuts, chocolate, caramel, veggies, chicken, steak, cheese, etc. They have classic combos, signature combos, and the option to create your own. I started with the Spiced Apple al a Mode Belgian waffle. The apples definitely had that canned apple taste, but the whipped crème was smooth and fluffy and the waffle was heavenly, probably the best waffle Ive ever tasted! Crispy on the outside and pleasantly sweet and indulgent on the inside.
Considering I was just giving this place a try to satisfy my sweet tooth, I shockingly found myself back in line ordering their featured savory crêpe; beef brisket with caramelized onions & peppers, cheese, bechamel and bbq sauce. It was amazing! I definitely didnt expect such developed flavors from a mall food court spot. Sweetness from the caramelized onions and bbq sauce, creamy from the cheese and bechamel, and just enough bite and tenderness from the brisket.
The gentleman who prepared both dishes turned out to be the owner. He was very pleasant with a sweet disposition, prepared the meals with an air of artistry, and was even nice enough to top my crêpe with a little extra cheese and sauce upon my request.
Im visiting from out of state so im not sure when i’ll be back, but I will certainly be adding a stop here next time im in NJ.

The smell lures you here. You can smell the delicious aroma of belgian waffles being made from (almost) across the Mall. It is located in the spot where Crumbs cupcakes use to be. When I stumbled upon it, I just thought, this is just simply genius. How did I not think of this idea?! There are many different varieties to choose from and you could add ice cream to each one for an extra charge. I ordered the strawberry, banana, with chocolate. It came conveniently in a to-​go box. You also have the other option to sit at one of the small tables nearby. I really wanted to add ice cream, but I didn’t think the extra price was worth it, however it comes with a large helping of whip cream. The whip cream is light, the waffle is decent, but the chocolate had a funny taste to me. Overall it was good. You really can’t go wrong with belgian waffles. Just follow your nose. It will not steer you wrong.

OMG this place is awesome. A must try. You will not regret it.
Try any dish it doesn’t matter, you will love it.
