When I was seated, I used the restroom first. I was appalled the restroom was worse than a fair’s port a potty on a Saturday bracelet night. Waiters name was Michael, but he addressed himself as Mike… he took our drink order… immediately after, was approached by another waiter named David. I informed him that we already had our order taken, but I asked to have the table wiped down because the edges were sticky. He returned to hand me the towel to do it myself… so Mike was great, and the food was out in 13 and a half minutes, and it was really damn good. I had the Sriracha burger… The food was great and fast, but cleanliness is questionable. There’s a lot of standing around from multiple employees, including one of them walking and texting throughout the floor. Mike’s service is what kept this from being one star.

Heed the bad reviews that are posted here! My husband and my in-laws went here at about 1130 on a Sunday. That’s 4 people. We left at 1. That’s an hour and a half in a diner! An hour of that was spent waiting on our food, waiting on refills, and waiting for any type of service period! The trash piled up on our table so bad I had to start stacking it! It was not understaffed, there were plenty of people, and our waitress(Kimberly) kept saying that she’d get us something then 20 minutes later we’d have to flag her down again to remind her that we were still lacking on water, coffee, etc. I ordered the Supreme Green Skillet with no mushrooms. They got that part right. The sausage came on a plate all its own, and it was missing the avocado slices. When I let the waitress know about the avocado, it took another 5 minutes to get about 1⁄8 of a Hass avocado sliced up. Very skimpy, highly disappointing dish. Just don’t waste your time coming here. In the mood for breakfast food? GOANYWHEREELSEBUTHERE. You won’t regret never giving this excuse for a diner your business, I promise.

Horrible… I know it’s Dennys and I shouldn’t have expected much but the whole experience was abysmal. First we waited like 20 minutes to be seated then another 10 to have our orders taken… then my «diet coke» and I use the term loosely because although that’s what I ordered that is not what was brought to me, it was more like a brown seltzer water then I ordered mozzarella sticks and we received two orders of mozzarella sticks with no marinara sauce I asked the waitress for the sauce and she brought 1 tiny cup for 2 orders. Then my lumberjack grand slam well the entire meal was burnt and dried out as though they kept it under a heat lamp for quite some time. My brother in law ordered the«Brooklyn» style spaghetti and meat balls, being from Brooklyn I feel personally insulted that they actually have the Gaul to say that crap was spaghetti and meat balls let alone Brooklyn style. All in all that was garbage and I will never step foot in another Dennys.

I gave 2 stars because I was greeted with a smile and the server was very nice. I was here to pick up my breakfast on the way to work. Now I don’t expect a whole lot from Dennys which is why I normally do not eat there, but I really wanted wheat pancakes and was in a rush from having my car serviced. I ordered the pecan wheat pancake breakfast. When I got to work and prepared to eat it, the eggs and turkey bacon was fine. The problem was the pancakes. Looks like someone just poured pecans on top at the last minute. I took a piece of the pancake and wondered why did it taste like onions. Well it was because there were onions and bits of shredded hash brown under it. This meal doesn’t come with hash brown so I assumed that my pancakes were made in the same pan/griddle and the hash browns and onions? This means they didn’t bother to clean the pan or grille.

What a waste of time. Most good restaurants are judged on how they manage personnel. We went today, which was a Saturday at 10am. The food took over an hour and was cold.

Went on a Friday night and have to say that it was just okay. Décor was actually impressive for me. Reminds me of an older Jersey diner. Ordered the Lumberjack Slam. Eggs were cooked properly(over easy), meats were cooked right. I didn’t like the fact that the waitress microwaved the syrup, usually it’s heated differently. Now my main problem… when you ask for sriracha you don’t want sriracha mayo, you want sriracha. Will I be back? Probably not. Food was okay but not something that I’ll come back for.

I’m always in the mood for breakfast. Whether it’s night or day it’s all good. Tonight I got a BYO grand slam: scrambled eggs, wheat toast, and two gouda apple sausage hearty links. I slammed it up with a side of fresh fruit. It was all good as usual. For a sweet treat I got the Santas milk and cookies shake. Well not yet. I plan on it. If I don’t try it this time I will be trying it before the end of the holiday season. I will come back i’m sure. I either come to this one or the one in va beach. I look forward to it.

Just stopped here for a late breakfast. While waiting for our table a couple was complaining that they’ve been waiting 45 minutes for their food. We decided to try it anyway. We sat for 15 minutes and had 3 servers walk by without saying a word to us. I was ok waiting for someone to at least take our drink order until the people behind us who were JUST seated had their server take their order. I asked if she was our server and she said no but would take our order. Nope. I asked for the manager. She was very young and inexperienced. The family across from us were getting up to leave too because they were waiting 40 minutes for their food. I understand being busy on the weekends but at least acknowledge us. One star for the nice gentleman who seated us.

Waited over an hour for our food before giving up and leaving! My poor two year old was over it! They were even still going to charge us for our drinks though we never got our food! Never again!

Denny’s is a strange place to eat at, because you rarely ever choose to eat there– you essentially just wind up at one, especially if you’re extremely tired, craving something specific, or with an elder in tow. I’ve been to this location twice, despite it being so close to my house, because it’s… well, it’s Denny’s. I’d rather not eat strange things while children are screaming in the background and with ditzy servers. First time I came(craving an omelette– the Ultimate Omelette isn’t too bad, by the way), we had to wait at least thirty minutes to be seated, even though they were seating people that arrived after us before us(with the same amount of people in our party). The waiter was kind though the service was slow, the tea was bland and children kept screaming, but it wasn’t a terrible experience. Second time I went was the morning after a big party of sorts, exhausted and craving eggs of varying sorts. No wait this time, but the table wasn’t as clean as it could be, the waitress was ditzy(even forgetting refills… constantly), the omelette wasn’t as great as the first time, but the lemonade I got was alright… until the machine broke down. And children continued to scream in the background. I recommend only going to Denny’s if you’re exhausted, hungover, with elders, or really craving something specific. Also. They don’t put salt and pepper on their eggs. You have to add it yourself.

Let’s call it duh duh duh Dennys… I came here for lunch yesterday with one of my co-worker’s Brian. Brian had said he wanted a big bowl of chili… I figured what the heck, I haven’t reviewed them yet. Denny’s can be found in the old Silver Diner building that’s just off Battlefield Blvd in front of the Home Depot lot. We walked in an took a look around. Brian didn’t see the person that usually waits on him so we took a seat at the counter. Our server appeared and took drink orders while we looked over the menu. I had a little difficulty deciding on breakfast or lunch and finally settled on a club sandwich with fries. Brian was having the same problem. After reviewing the menu he changed his order to a country fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side of broccoli. The place wasn’t very busy, I would say the were just less than a quarter full of customers, however there was quite a bit of staff milling about. About 10 minutes in I saw a club sandwich placed on the pick-up area between the kitchen and where the waitresses are working behind the counter. I thought to myself. «I bet that’s my sandwich». About 15 after we ordered our server came up to Brian and reported the kitchen didn’t have any mashed potatoes and that it would take another 15 – 20 minutes to make some. Would he like to wait? Really? You waited until 15 minutes after placing the order to tell someone that? Brian changed his order to fries, but clearly wasn’t happy. That was the last we saw of our server. I don’t know if she was done for the day or just went and sat in the back she was gone. There was no apology, not offer of something else… Around the 20 minute mark our food was delivered by a new server. You guessed it, the club sandwich that had been sitting on the shelf the last 10 minutes was mine. The fries were cold and the sandwich was now room temperature. I looked around however there was no manager on the floor and no one to talk to either and frankly who had the time as the lunch our was rapidly going away. We ate our meals and went over to the checkout. My meal ran me almost $ 15 with the tip. For a smallish club sandwich and cold fries. I’m not kidding. What a joke. Now I remember why I haven’t been to a Denny’s in 10 years… Think I’ll wait another 10 before I try them again. Besides there are many better options in the Greenbrier area for lunch.

Service was horrible. First, there was a crowd of people waiting to be seated and no one ever came to seat us. After 20 mins we found out we could seat ourselves. The wait staff just walked pass everyone as if the crowd of people waiting to sit was invisible, no greeter or anything. It was my group and maybe 20 other people piled in the lobby. Then once we sat down, we saw the waiter once and got drinks, no menus, no silverware. We ordered our food and didn’t see the waiter for another hour. When we asked about the order, she said our ticket still didn’t make it to the kitchen. We just left, 2 hours waisted and appetite lost. Worst experience in a restaurant ever. Their management should be fired and never to work in that field again and the owners should get a fine.

Went to breakfast at 1:30 am it was very busy we had to seat ourselves and it took about 30 Minutes to get our drinks. THE waitress took our order and it took about 31⁄2 to recieve our meal. After taking so long the waitress questioned the manager as to why all other order were Being prepared before hers. He said he was pulling them in order, I sat and watched him pull the tickets and even when she questioned him he called my tickets 6 times in 20 minutes but never peocessed the order. The service sucks would not refer this location to anyone. One of the waiter was so busy being fresh with the coqorker that she could not do her job. This is a visit that i will call the home office because the manager was very nasty.

I haven’t been to a Denny’s since the late 90’s when I lived in Wisconsin. This location (Battlefield Blvd and Volvo Pkwy in Chesapeake) caught my eye because the outside reminded me of the diners back in the 50’s and early 60’s in New York. I was seated right away and my order was take within 5 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was courteous, attentive and friendly and very neat in appearance. Everything was clean and I love the 50’s look both inside and outside! The food was excellent! My eggs were delicious and the steak was to die for as well as the rest of the meal! The food was nice and hot! My compliments to the CHEF My waitress Shelly did a phenomenal job! I had no idea that they were opened 24⁄7 until I was talking to the young lady at the register. I will DEFINITELY be back!!! Only sad thing about this visit was that I invited a friend to meet me here for lunch but she was working and couldn’t come so she missed out on some good cooking!!! THANKSAGAINFOREVERYTHINGAND I WILLBEBACK!

Tables were dirty. Service sucked. The busboy spilled juice all over the floor and left food on the seat. Half the staff was saggin. Our waitress forgot everything. The food tasted and smelled like a microwave.

Came in for a family breakfast at 11:30 on Saturday. We were meeting there so my grandmother was already sat when we got there. The service was beyond slow it took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Our food took twice as long and mine seemed to be overcooked on one side and under on the other almost like they didn’t flip it. I realize Dennys isn’t like a high end restaurant but geez my eggs were so overcooked I couldn’t even eat them. I had no expectations because I hadn’t been to one in like probably 12 years and I was still disappointed. Definitely won’t be going back.

This Denny’s is located just off I-64 on the Corner of Battlefield & Volvo. It looks like a. 50’s Diner, so you can’t miss it. I rarely go to Denny’s. This night I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great. The food was hot. The variety of selection was appealing to everyone in the family. I was amazed to see the lasagna come out just like Mom’s. Ok just like Mom intended. Olive Garden lasagna vs Denny’s. Denny’s Wins! I know, surprising. Breakfast food was what you want it to be. Hot. Made to Order. Better than you would do yourself or at least equal. Clean. Room to maneuver if you are in that situation. Denny’s is losing the war to rising Pop’s Diner, but this location is willing to put up a Fight.

I was excited to eat here because it’s been years, I was told to wait at the door to be seated, then overheard a trainee ask should we seat him? The manager said no he can wait! Mind you there was no one in the place. I chose to sit at the bad and overheard a young gentleman sexually harass some co workers and cuss several times. I will never eat here again. Two stars are given because the food is decent.

Love the pancake puppies. This place is as good as it gets when it comes to a Denny’s. The most wonderful people work here, especially the older gentleman that always seats us. It is always a pleasure to see him when we dine.

Went here due to late night(or early morning rather) munchies after a night out. We were seated immediately by our server, but that was the only thing quick she actually did. Right off the bat, her people skills seemed off. The first thing she said was«so you guys have been drinking huh» and her delivery really had us like«uhhh… ok.» Yes we did drink, but we weren’t drunk or doing anything to reflect that we had been drinking. The other guests there definitely had that vibe. It was just all off. Another server gave us menus and that guy was pretty cool, but he was about to be off work soon, from what I learned overhearing his coworkers. I was wearing a Notorious BIG shirt at the time and he complimented the tee and had a short convo with us about Biggie before our original server came back. That was cool. Our server took our drink orders and then took forever to get back to us. We had only ordered waters so we were almost on the verge of getting up and hitting up IHOP instead. My friend was like«Let’s give her 2 more minutes and if she doesn’t come around let’s bounce.» She eventually made it back to us though, took our food orders, and then asked us what we wanted to drink… again. She also apologized for taking a long time, which I appreciated. It was just odd because she was only serving us and the table next to us and that was it. She was also very sweaty, but it wasn’t hot in there. While waiting, the manager made rounds to see how everyone was doing, but only nodded when he came to us. Didn’t let that get to me though. The meal was alright and she surprisingly checked up on us one more time before we finished eating. She had weird comments though that even had her other table showing puzzled looks. I don’t know what her deal was, maybe she was new, who knows? I’m sure she had good intentions, but just didn’t know how to deliver.
