Great breakfast and very cheap. The portions are massive, so you’ll never leave hungry. I’m a marathon runner with an insatiable appetite, and I barely can finish a plate here. It’s busy, so plan ahead.

wait can be long depending on time/day visiting… I love the freshly squeezed juices and the tropical syrup for the Hawaiian pancake meal. They have coffee to drink while you wait to be seated.

The breakfast here is mind blowing. If you don’t mind a 30 or 40 minute wait, it’s great. I believe there’s an app out now where you can reserve a place there. But it’s a real treat if you’re looking for a wonderful place to have a delicious breakfast.

Had breakfast here yesterday. I couldn’t tell the group I’m not a fan of pancakes, crepes, waffles, etc… you get it but I knew there was something on the menu I was able to eat. The wait was about 40 minutes for a party of nine. I ordered the eggs Benedict and I was alittle unsure since it was at a pancake house and not like the small independent cafes I’m used to in Vancouver where everything was made from scrap. All I have to say is is that it was just alittle too strong in flavour. The hollandaise sauce did not taste like it was made from scratch. So rich in taste that I was only able to eat just one of the two eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked well though and the hash browns were good. The waitress was very much on auto pilot. I had questions after I placed my order and she was already on to the next person. I don’t know if it was her or if she’s told by management to hurry things up because of others waiting for the table. Would I go back? Probably not.

Great breakfast! Friendly waitstaff and good food. The wait tends to be pretty long, especially on weekends. Really like their pecan pancakes.

They do breakfast RIGHT. Crazy busy and long waits on weekends and for a good reason. The food is fresh, fast and tasty. They text you when your table is ready – which is great. Good for kids, family and friends to grab breakfast or brunch. Our server was great. Everybody seems to love this place. Some folks looked like they just got out of bed. Prices are reasonable and the fluffy baked omelettes are superb. Great coffee, tea and juices. Overall menu prices are reasonable, but the kids menu was rather expensive. The location is Ladue draws a much classier crowd, but the food here is very similar. Vastly superior to an IHOP. Not as tasty as Half&Half. But, this place is very consistent and good.

The Original Pancake House lives up to its reputation: it’s wonderful and worth it. Kids will love the variety and the O.J. The coffee’s great too. Try the Nowait app in order to get in on a timely basis; otherwise, you’ll wait for a long time. Again, it’s worth it. PS-don’t forget the bacon!

I don’t really know what they do to make a difference other than ensure they are not another IHOP, but the eggs and all are far superior in quality and taste, the service without issue… and certainly even if relatively busy, seem to get your order out hot. Your other options for breakfast in the area cannot compare to the quality presented here. I’m not sure I would call this a two-star in cost though, perhaps more inclined to a three-star, but it is well worth it. I’ve personally not a more satisfying breakfast than this place… other than my mother who claims she makes the best and most fluffy scrambled eggs herself! I only wish they would extend their hours of operation since many of us do like breakfast for dinner too… and some of us are on shift work schedules. Help us!

The food here is decent, but overpriced. I had the vegetarian omellette but substituted broccoli for ham(what can I say, I love meat). This came with a small size triple stack of pancakes. Everything was good, and was a really big portion so I had to take a to-go box. My sister ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and 2 sausage patties. Please tell me why her 2 sausage patties came out to $ 5 on the bill!!! I’m still confused how that happened! Sure she ordered them without knowing the a la cart price, but jeez louise! $ 2.50 per patty seems ca-ra-zy! My 31-year-old sister is a connoseuiur of chocolate pancakes and she stated that Uncle Bill’s variety of the dish is better. Take that for what it’s worth. The service was good but we did have a 45 minute wait at about 12:15 pm on a Saturday, and the place was packed. Not a bad breakfast place by any means, but the over inflated sausage pricing definitely marred our experience.

So this place is amazing, everything I get here is absolutely tasty. My go too is a Dutch baby, which is an enormous pancake covered in baked apples it’s practically a cake. Today I got the corned beef hash and eggs. It was amazing, super fresh and hot and amazing. I got it with a side of lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes they were also delicious. Great service even if it seems like it is a long wait they will get you in and out ASAP absolutely with the wait. Great place for brunch or breakfast, check it out.

Probably the most consistent place for breakfast I can think of. I go here about once a month for work meetings, and this visit was more of the same great service and food as always. All the dishes come with large portions and I always over eat because of it. The bacon here is always awesome. They have great pancakes and French toast also. I usually get«the works» breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice is always great too. I can’t think of any bad experiences here the whole 3 years we have been using the place for our breakfast meetings. And they have a meeting room that we get to ourselves. Very good place?

I took my team(10IT professionals) to breakfast here. We recieved excellent service and everyone raved about the food. I ordered the savory crepes without meat, coffee and the orange juice. The crepes were light and delicious, the filling was terrific and the hollandaise sauce on top was the perfect accompaniment. The coffee was not great, but it was fresh and strong. The fresh squeezed orange juice was AMAZING. Everyone on my team ordered different things and they all raved about their breakfast. If you are looking for a great breakfast, get out of the drive-thru and give this place a try. PROS: Great service, excellent food, the BEST orange juice CONS: They don’t open until 7pm so you can’t go in to early, coffee is just okay, a bit on the pricey side.

I met a friend for breakfast at the Original Pancake House on a Wednesday morning at 7:30. It had been a few years since I had been here. If you use the NoWait app, which I do, you will often notice a 60 – 75 minute wait for this place on the weekends. I’m not receptive to waiting that long for anything so it’s not somewhere I go on the weekends. It was very pleasant on a weekday morning. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a short stack of the bacon pancakes. When I ordered I asked the waiter if their syrup was real maple syrup or not? He said no but failed to mention that I could upgrade to real syrup for an additional charge. Fail. I gladly would have done this had I known. My friend ordered a combo with pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns, etc. My pancakes were very good. With real maple syrup they would have been better than good! I would definitely return but not with the weekend crowd…

I wrote an angry breakfast place before but this was a complete different story. Last one the food was not good legitimately, but this one’s food actually was good. The pro: — I ordered Dutch treat and it reminds me a lot of the popups you get on the east coast. Very eggy and fluffy. Fruits fresh. Exactly what I kinda predicted. The cons: — I understand it’s Sunday and people wants good brunch. What I don’t understand is how an a restaurant justify a 30 minutes breakfast cooking. According to lovely Google, a Dutch baby takes about 20 minutes to cook, assuming starting with batter not preped. This places runs as a restaurant not a home cooking deal I am in deep shock that it took a solid 30+ minute to make it. Fishy excuse to me. — I saw our waitress 4 times: ordered our food and drinks, dropped drink, 30 minutes later dropped our food, and right away the check. Our water went empty in about 10 minutes and absolutely nobody attended us. I grabbed some random lady and she took for granted that because I asked for Dutch treat I should deserve the wait. Hello, if somebody would’ve informed I wouldn’t have to be so «rude» at you. I was that close to give no tips to my waitress but I suppose she knew my credit card info and I ended up give a little. when she took the card back I said thank you, but I was shooting myself in the heart cuz that lady showed no appreciate about me paying this what I considered expensive meal. — speaking of expensive… the main dishes cost close to 15 bucks with tax and that didn’t bother me the most. 3 pieces of sausage links that taste not special at all cost 5 bucks. A brunch of 2 ended being $ 50 bucks and took us 30 minutes wait, I didn’t think so. I see why this place is popular cuz at the very least, it’s a restaurant and it tasted good. service though is far from satisfying. No more pancake house for me…

It’s just another run of the mill breakfast place that serves average omelettes, pancakes, crepes and waffles. The crab Benedict was really just average and the banana stuffed pancakes were missing bananas. I was too surprised when I saw an extra charge for cheese in my crab Benedict and another extra few bucks for a white only egg omellete. Not that I care for few extra bucks but I expected the server to inform me about these extras while taking my order. When I asked her about those on the bill, she was very casual and that annoyed me more. Nonetheless, I tipped her well but I expect the restaurant’s management to train its workers to act like owners and treat their customers with honesty.

I’m actually surprised so many people spend so much time waiting to eat here. We waited an hour to get in. I ordered biscuits and gravy, which were inedible cold dense lumps of flour and sour cheese covered with a slimy glaze(the gravy I suppose). Needless to say I just ate my eggs and hashbrowns. My daughter got blueberry pancakes. Not good. The blueberry syrup did not taste like blueberry, more like a sickly sweet. I can’t even place a real existent fruit flavor to it. My wife was unimpressed with her corn beef hash. All for a whopping $ 50+ check. Nice waitress, that’s about it. Won’t be back.

Had an itching for pancake(on the healthier side) so I dropped in the House for some buckwheat blueberry pancakes. Staff was friendly, prompt & accommodating. Since I was solo I copped a squat at the bar for expedited service. The buckwheat blueberry pancakes were not good. I like this place so I’ll refrain from using any other verbiage to describe the pancakes. I expressed my disappointment and was immediately asked if I’d like to try something else. I went with a pumpkin stack(tis the season) which was much tastier. They arrived in no time flat, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar & fresh whipped cream atop. The vegetarian omelette was huge, I had to wrap half to go along with 2 of my 3 pancakes. Clearly portions are hearty. With coffee my tally was nearly $ 20; not complaining(just saying) know before you go. ~Christy

I’d say it’s a place of endearingly chaotic ease. It’s a spacious yet homey dining area populated by families and parties of friends at weekends, people willing to queue for the comfort food. Daily breakfast menu includes a pancake section, with fillings such as the signature cinnamon apple, chocolate chips and berries and fruits. Maple syrup is usually supplementary. The seasonal peach blueberry pancake was exemplary, the layer of aromatic vanilla whipped cream generous but thin enough for the pancake’s subtle flavor to shine through. Pancakes are also served in the omelette-pancake combinations, wherein the omelette folds cheese and others ingredients of your choice. Prices are reasonable given the setting, the service quality and the assuredness of the menu. The menu runs from breakfast to brunch, but I hope they can extend hours so afternoon tea could be taken in.

Excellent food as always. Went around lunchtime on a weekday and no wait! I like the eggs and sausage patties and it did not disappoint. Very tasty. I had scrambled eggs recently elsewhere and they were really good here! Upgraded the hot cakes I think only for a dollar and pumpkin pancakes!!! These are my very favorite pancakes, nice pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. Also very fluffy and light. Had to order the hash brown side. It’s one of my favorite items here. It was crispy but not dry. So good. The blueberry waffle was a hit but I wish they had more blueberries and blueberry compote. Overall everything was very delicious.
