Fire house is great. The food is fresh and filling. Besides the food the crew is amazing. Great place to eat and take a load off. PS. Bring back the PAS sandwich

Just finished my first and last experience with this place. First, let’s discuss portion. The medium sub is about the size of a hot dog. Comically small and dually ironic when the paper bag it came in says«Made for Firefighter sized appetites». Now let’s talk about the food itself. I had a steak and cheese sub. The beef was this rubbery, tasteless processed bullshit. Bread was overly soft like that you would serve a toothless geriatric. Biting into the sub was reminiscent of baby food except with less flavor. If you have an iota of respect for what you’re eating, you will do yourself a favor and pretend like this travesty does not exist. AVOID at all costs. Firehouse Subs wouldn’t know a decent sandwich if it were on fire in their lap.

I stopped in here today to try this sub place for the first time. I had never been to a firehouse subs before but wanted to see how it compared to my favorite sub places(potbellys and jimmy johns). After studying the menu, I was impressed with their vast options. I ordered the turkey bacon ranch. Every though i waited for roughly 5 – 10 minutes for my sandwich I was impressed that they are more concerned about freshness than getting you your food quickly. I was also impressed with the amount of meat in the sandwich until I got near the end and all that was left was bread and lettuce, so it was a 12″ sub but only 9″ of meat. I think this sandwich would had been better if it was pepper jack or swiss instead of cheddar to compliment the turkey and bacon. I was not impressed with what you get for the price, all I ordered was a sandwich(large) and a cup for water and my total was almost $ 11. I’ll stick with potbellys and jimmy johns.

This is what you need to know: If you have any halfway decent standards for sandwiches, this is not your kind of place… Avoid it! The bread is bland, doughy, and sits heavily in your belly. The meat is awful — tastes extremely processed and has a nasty waxy-sweetness to it. The sub did come with a vinegary pickle rolled up in a bag — also lacking flavor. I ordered what is quite possibly the hardest sub to get wrong — an italian — and it tasted awful. The quality for all the ingredients is sub-par. The speed and friendliness of Sevice was fine, but the food was so bad that I cannot give it a second star. An 8″ sub sets you back about $ 7 after tax. PS: the chain claims that the food is for firefighter big appetites ??? It seemed like any average sized sandwich.

Disappointing. I ordered just a turkey sub. The lettuce is not fresh and had to wait too long for the help to prepare. I’ll stay with Jimmy Johns

This place is frustratingly slooooow.(This is actually the first time I didn’t give up and leave before I even ordered.) But, I have to admit, once you get it, it’s a pretty tasty sub! Service was decent.

The customer service here is absolute garbage. No one, including the manager, knows anything about the menus. I ordered a sandwich and said no pork(allergy), the manager tried to convince me the salami was beef based. It wasn’t until I visited the firehouse website, which details what the salami is made out of, that I broke out into hives. They never even offered me a refund or a chance to redo my salad without salami.

Waited 5 mins, got a delicious meatball sub, drink, and chips for $ 10. I was happy with this place. They have tons of hot sauce!!! I took a level 4 sauce to go and it was pretty good with my sub. Stuffs are friendly too.

The speed and quality of service has definitely improved since they first opened up, but it’s still not great. Just grabbing a sandwich can take upwards of 15 – 20 minutes, which is rough when you only have so long of a lunch break. Ordering alone is kind of a mess due to the fact they only have two cash registers; the place fills up with hungry men, salivating, staring at their extensive collection of hot sauces. The subs themselves are alright — nothing to write home about. It’s better than Subway or Jimmy John’s, and the concept is cool. Get things moving more efficiently and I may stop in more often.

I do love Firehouse Subs from the day I first tried them in Houston and them in Western NY. This location is great and they taste just as good. My only complaint: time! Service could be faster. I came after lunch hours and was pretty much the only customer. It still took 18 minutes to get two subs. But then they were so good it did not matter. However, it can be an obstacle to choose a sub for lunch break.

You’d think with it being a new restaurant from a blank space they would’ve planned it out a bit better. The whole layout is a mess. After you order, you have to walk back through the line to fill a drink, which causes a scrum in a very small area. They take so long to make a sandwich that there are always about 20 people waiting in the cramped dining area. So if you’re at a table, people’s crotches are in your face. The staff seems slow and untrained. Last time I was there, I had to ask the cashier twice to repeat herself because she wasn’t enunciating anything. Customer service: speak loud and clear! To top it off, the sandwiches aren’t very good. The non-deli meat is heated in a gross bag, and the bread gets soggy and slimy.

As I’m eating this sandwich now all I can say is it’s overpriced, soggy and the flavors are just ok. I got the peppered chicken sandwich and it’s literally a huge, thick bland chicken breast. The pickle and chips was the best part of my meal. I will stick with Potbellly’s they have never disappointed me and they are waaaay cheaper.

I think this place is the epitomy of a food coma — and I mean that in the best of ways. I got a brisket sandwich here that was roughly amazing. Firehouse subs is pretty creative with their choices of subs, but they are also crazy busy. Their subs are pretty explicitly meat focused, so this is not what I’d call even remotely vegetarian friendly or healthy for that matter. If you’re trying to pig out, I’d say this is the right place to go. Meanwhile, in addition to that they have a very large variety of hot sauces available for those who want to create a firehouse within their own mouth, so to speak. I spotted daves insanity sauce, among others. Lines are ridiculous at lunch and it understandably takes a while to be served, so if this isn’t considered close walking distance I would plan some extra time to actually get your food. TLDR: Unique style subs, super crowded at lunch, worth a try.

This shop is a staple of the south and having one in close proximity to work has ascended me to Nirvana. Come here for some of the best toasted subs you can get anywhere(yes, better than Potbelly). You pay for quality in both a slightly heightened cost and time to individually prepare and toast your sandwich, which I’m surprised so many people are willing to give a bad review just because of time waiting. It’s a new restaurant and people are swarming here to try it out, so of course the lunch rush is going to take a while. I cannot speak to the salads here, but they really aren’t the staple of the place. The sandwiches though are incredible and easily blow away the nearby competition. I highly suggest the Engineer and the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket(which by itself will keep me happy for life). Throw in the fact that the business does great things for local firefighters and I don’t know what you can complain about. Go here during lunch and expect about 20 – 25 minutes to get through the line to order then wait to get your individually toasted sub and garnish with one of the 60 or so hot sauces they have available. I hope those that gave it a bad review can learn to appreciate a quality-for-your-time tradeoff in the future, or maybe they’d prefer the fine dining at the next door Panda Express.

I loved Firehouse Subs when I lived in Florida and missed them after moving away. Now there’s one a block from my office!!! Score. Checked it out today and gotta say, it was amazing. Ordered a New York Steamer luckily a Cleveland Steamer isn’t an option. It is by far the best thing on the menu(corned beef, pastrami, provolone, mustard, mayo and Italian dressing), if you go here wanting a salad just go home. SUBS, it’s in the name. It’s new, they’re learning the menu so I’ll give them a pass on any wait time although moving through the line at noon was a breeze. The sub was amazing and the only time it was the least bit soggy was after I wrapped half up for later. I’m so thrilled Firehouse is now in the loop.

I was headed to JJ’s and saw Firehouse and said… That’s new I’m going to check it out. After walking in I was greeted nicely by a young gal who was ready to take my order. I looked up at the menu and was more confused then interested. The offerings all had catchy names and I decided on the Italian because it is my go to sandwich when in doubt. I don’t quite understand the theme and how it adds anything to the way the sandwiches are made. I received my large sandwich sans any combo offerings less $ 10 and was on my way. Once I got back to the office I opened the bag and unwrapped a soggy mess of slimy bread. I ate ½ of it and was underwhelmed. Something was not right with the way it was prepared I saw a lot of steam coming from behind the counter. I guess they steam it to melt cheese instead of fire toasting like Pot Belly. Maybe they are still working out the kinks from the opening…

I paid $ 9 and waited 10 minutes for a chicken salad with no chicken and wilty lettuce. I work in the area, and I’m bummed that this isn’t another go-to lunch spot.

So decided to give this place a try as it looked and smelled yummy… I was wrong! It was 345pm today I went in and ordered the chicken bacon ranch sub. The first disappointment was having to wait 20 mins to get my 1 sub, the 2nd having to listen to another customer complain about how he had been waiting(I never Even saw him order and he got his after me so 20+mins). When I went to eat my sandwich it was soggy, I don’t even know how or why but it was. The«bacon» is more like a paper-thin slice similar to the synthetic bacon you get at subway. The cheese, we’ll I’m not sure if it was liquid cheese sauce or just cheap slice but it was just as disappointing as the rest of the sandwich. All in all I wish I would have just gone to jimmy johns because it was not worth the wait, my $ 8 or the 900 caloroes. Ps they had about 10 people behind the counter so not sure how things are taking so long.

Waited 30 minutes for a sandwich and a salad after I ordered online about 20 minutes earlier. Terrible service, sub par food. With all those choices in the loop, this isn’t worth your time.
