Visited a couple of those SAS lounges now and most are pretty good. Unfortunately this is not one of them. Its located close to SAS designated gates in Terminal 5 offering some food and drinks. The area is pretty cramped and doesnt offer a lot of seatings. But it does its job, offering some free stuff for the one who needs. I wouldnt pay to go here, but if you are able to go here for free, you should probably do it, but without any further expectations.

Probably a 2.5 overall in the context of other O’Hare lounges. SAS seems to be the«catch all» lounge for airlines that don’t have their own lounge in Terminal 5. The O’Hare website claims that Austrian Airlines passengers use the Swiss lounge but that doesn’t appear to exist anymore. Once inside, you’ll find a relatively small lounge which gets rather crowded considering SAS supports a good ½ dozen airlines. The chairs were quite comfy but finding a place to plug in was an issue. There is free wifi with a code from the front desk. As for refreshments, there’s a self service bar with a decent amount of beer and liquor choices but not much in the wine department. There were the standard salty snack choices as well as a rather sketchy looking cold cuts tray when we visited. No restrooms inside the lounge, so you’ll need to exit and walk a bit down the terminal for that. Overall — better than waiting at the gate, but there are definitely better business lounges at O’Hare.

This is a pretty small lounge that serves several airlines. The variety of food is pretty weak, and selection of tea is fairly simple — Lipton black tea anyone? I don’t really know what else to write about for this lounge. It is very simple. Please enjoy what you can and look forward to your flight instead.

In Terminal 5, a small oasis exists to step out of the hustle and bustle of the international terminal. The SAS lounge is located by gate m13. While not large, and know that there are not restrooms located in this lounge, the chairs are comfortable and they have a pretty good selection of food and beverages. And be sure to grab the Internet code for the front desk when you walk in. They also announce the flights so you don’t have to spend time constantly checking the monitors. All in all a pleasant surprise to find this!

It’s not huge, but it is very welcome. I’m surprised SAS has their own lounge at O’Hare, given how few flights SAS has from O’Hare. But given how nuts the international terminal can be, this is a nice place to relax. Plus, SAS gives you access when you buy their SAS Plus tickets, which are actually attainable for normal humans — no need to shell out for full fare business class tickets in order to use the lounge. Decent food and beverage options(better than the United lounges I’ve used in Terminal 1, that’s for sure). Seating is — OK. Not super comfy, and not a ton of it, but again, smaller carrier not at their home base. So all of it is more than I would expect.

In Terminal 5, SAS offers a small slice of peace and heaven away from the crowded International Terminal. Lots of people yelling at their kids who are running around hopped up on sugar and caffeine, here’s a nice quiet place to get away from it. To the left after passing through security, near Gate M13. If you have«Gold» status on a Star Alliance carrier, or you are flying Virgin Atlantic, this is your spot. There are other lounges for OneWorld and SkyTeam alliance fliers. Not a whole lot of space, but there is enough. Snacks and beverages, including self-service alcohol and beer are available. Power outlets, comfortable chairs and a few desktop computers are available.
