Pizza Hut

Usually Unilocal is REALLY reliable, but I’m glad we went against all the bad reviews and gave it a shot anyway today. I really liked Pizza Hut when I lived in Yuba City and this is the first time we’ve tried the one in Chico since they opened. I ordered online which was super easy. The coupons that THIS franchise accepted were all available online. They said 15 minutes and it was ready when I got there. My order was correct and the pizza is really tasty. I don’t know what else you’d expect, but I thought they deserved another good review to hopefully balance out the bad ones.

I was craving for buffalo wings coz it’s super bowl season and I’m working on super bowl so I ordered buffalo wings and a pasta at Pizza Hut. So very much disappointed… The worst buffalo wings I had. I could have satisfied my craving buying a frozen one from Safeway or the ready made one from Safeway. I would never order from Pizza Hut ever again.

Maybe the bad reviews are written by Round Table employees. I order online. I customize my Pizzas. The specials are great deals. The flavored crusts are delicious. I don’t care for the cheese bread or pastas. I’d rather eat pizza. And remember to reheat pizza slices in a toaster oven, not a microwave. 350 degrees for 20 minutes or to your desired crispness.

This pizza is the worst I ever had. Do not order. Arrived cold and seemed old and also seemed like it was missing a piece. THE WORST EVER. Tombstone is 50 times better.

Honestly the worst pizza I have ever had delivered. The pizza was flat, hardly any toppings, it was more of a cracker with a little cheese on it, no sauce from what I could tell. I will never buy a pizza from them again!

Disappointed that this store has stopped taking most national coupons, particularly the most lucrative ones. I was willing to put up with the slow waits, poor lighting outside… and my general interest in not wanting to park after dark at the location with anything flashy whatsoever.
But when they stopped taking the really great national coupons, that was it. I’d recommend local businesses like Mad Dash. You’ll pay $ 6/​pizza instead of $ 6 for three — but without the coupons anymore, you won’t get that deal at Pizza Hut.
This is a very similar path that the last Pizza Hut in Chico appears to have taken. They opened and had high traffic — then the margins got rough, so they stopped taking coupons, and then they lost their competitive advantage… so they went under.

Tried to order pizza for delivery. We live on Netters Cir. Which is between E Lassen and Eaton rd. The guy on the phone said they don’t deliver to us. They however will deliver all the way over to Skyward which is way farther away than we are. And also deliver to Eaton Rd… which is farther than us on the other side… but the apparently cut off Lassen Ave… what the Fuck is their problem? So if you live between E. Lassen and Eaton… don’t bother… Pizza Guys are better anyway and have no problem delivering.

Yesterday I had my first experience at Pizza Hut here in Chico and I just want to say that the service was good but the pizza was embarrassing I ordered a double pepperoni pizza and it looks like there’s was maybe 3 — 2 slices of pepperoni on each slice of pizza I took a photograph of it but I think it would be embarrassing to put it on here and there was no pepperoni in the center of the pizza at all and I think for $ 16 you should get a pretty good size pizza with all the trimmings nicely on top and I know a lot of people in this town and a lot of people know me and know that I go to all the restaurants just to see which one is the best because I like to eat good food and when I asked the girl that works there at the counter which is was very nice why wasn’t there hardly any pepperoni on the pizza she said that her bosses were jumping down their throats about putting more pieces of pepperoni on the pizza is so obviously they don’t really care about their customers because we will go there once and try and then when you see what I send you I won’t go again especially for the price there is a lot of nice pizza places in this Chico area

The only reason I can even give one star is because in the end I did get food… though it was wrong. I called in an order and was given a pick up time of 15 minutes. Arrived on time and the order was not ready. The screen that tracks orders and pick up times then bumped my ready time by 15 minutes so I continued to wait. Other people were getting orders 30 – 45 minutes late. Finally after seeing orders taken after mine being served and seeing 2 other people get their money back plus their food, I spoke with the young woman at the counter. She stated my food would be another 5 – 10 minutes and thought she would leave it at that. When I asked what she was going to offer me as she did with other customers the excuses began. «You made your order with the automated system and we can’t be responsible for the time they give you». «The other people waited longer than you (They did not)».“We ran out of pan crust. They tried to call you about that.(I received no call)”. I explained once again that I has been waiting nearly an hour which she tried to argue than realized she was wrong. Finally she gave me a refund and we continued to wait for our food. Then she explained they didn’t have the bleu cheese dressing I ordered – really?! As I was leaving she stated the manager before her left them without enough dough… so not her fault. When we arrived home our pizza was made with the wrong crust! I usually like Pizza Hut so get it together!

DO NOT ORDER PIZZA HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Hopefully people will read these reviews before making the same mistake that my boyfriend and I made. He remembered pizza hut as being pretty decent pizza and was excited for it to come to chico. The place opened a few months ago so we figured they would have kinks worked out… they didn’t.
Ordered a basic combo pizza with bacon and some bone in hot wings. Arrived to be shown the pizza without any mushrooms, peppers or olives. So my combo was only onions, pepperoni and bacon. I was told that they had run out of the other ingredients and couldn’t do anything about it. The employee was apologetic and I asked if they could throw in a dessert or some breadsticks and was told it would be at least 20 minutes to make those. She offered to give me $ 5 off which I accepted but then I was charged the full price for the pizza. The employee then clarified that the coupon would be under my name and phone number for the next visit. I hadn’t tried the pizza yet and was trying to be optimistic that maybe it would taste great and I would actually come back to use such coupon. The pizza was extremely grease soaked, soggy, and the crust was basically cardboard, flat with no flavor at all. There wasn’t very much cheese and the toppings sort of just fell off. The hot buffalo wings were overly breaded and not spicy at all.
Save your money and go to dominos or little caesars for cheap pizza or just go to any other of the great pizza places in chico.

Ordered online, delivery was supposed to be in 1 hour 10 minutes, which is a little much for pizza but no biggie. 1 hour 20 minutes goes by and I called to see what was going on, the girl on the phone said the order was heading out the door as we spoke, that it would be maybe 10 minutes to arrival and she apologized for the delay blaming it on a clogged sink and giving me a $ 10 credit on the account for next time. 30 more minutes goes by. I called again, this time I spoke with Jessica and explained to her my issue, now that my order was 40 minutes late, I asked for the shift leader, her name was Carissa, she was very apologetic and nervous on the phone. I tried to be as nice as possible for the situation but this was ridiculous. Carissa said the order was heading out the door, I explained that I was already told that the first time I called and asked if the employee who said that was lying, she said it must have been dispatched but not taken. I asked what dispatched meant, she explained it means the order is ready to go and could leave at any moment, she blamed the delay on drivers, saying she didnt have the drivers she needed. I told her that the first employee said she was watching go out the door the first time I called 30 minutes prior and that this was obviously a lie and I would hate to have to call for a third time. I then told her that the $ 10 credit wouldn’t help much seeing as I was not likely to return agian after this, I asked for a refund, she explained I would have to come down to the store to get it… really?! Even she was sympathetic and understood how stupid that was. So I said I hope the pizza gets here soon and bid her a good night. The pizza showed up 2 hours and 20 minutes after I ordered and 1 hour 10 minutes late! The delivery guy had smashed the brownies and wings which were at least warm and the pizza was stone cold! So cold I had to microwave it, I would have heated it in my oven but at this point I was really hungry and just wanted to eat. The entire experience was horrid. 0 stars if I could. Do not waste your time or money. I think something is seriously wrong with this place, it’s management and it’s employees.

Tonight we ordered a cheese pizza (and 3 ranches) that were supposed to be delivered at 6:12pm. At 6:40 the delivery guy called saying he couldn’t find our house and my boyfriend even called the store back to give some directions. At 7:12 (an hour late) I called and even talked to the shift manager and was told he should arrive any minute. At 7:23 they called back to offer us the order for free, saying they would remake the pizza and have a different driver come. Time goes on and finally at 8:20 the pizza arrives. 2 hours late! Funny enough they didn’t include the ranch we ordered… and it was pepperoni.
Keep in mind we have ordered from them in the past and the 3 different drivers had no problem finding our home, so blaming it on or location was probably not the real problem.

I was super excited when I first saw they were putting in a Pizza Hut in Chico. Before I loved to town it was my favorite (stuffed crust ftw). Last time i had it was in Yuba City and it was delicious.
However, I finally saw the Chico location was open today and immediately ordered carry out. And I don’t think I could’ve been more disappointed. When I got there the girl was rude and just said ‘hang on’ as she talked to someone next to her who’s tag said ‘management team.’ I was honestly pretty stunned.
I figured, ‘Hey it’s brand new and they’re probably learning how to act around customers. At least I have this pizza!’ It was absolutely NOTHING like what I’ve had before. I could tell after the first couple bites that something had changed for the worse. I didn’t even finish it. Which for me is saying something.
Now normally I’ll give something a second try if either the service or the food was decent. But since both where terrible, I won’t be back.

How hard is it to make bread sticks appropriately? Apparently very hard, two orders and they were both dry. No butter, no parm., just dry. I’m sure if I took a bite out of the cardboard box it would have had more flavor. Who cares that the location is new, if I pay for a food it should be right. If they can’t make food properly then maybe they shouldn’t have opened the doors. And the wait time, 37 minutes for takeout is ridiculous. Fire all the employees and start over!

Pros: the toppings are fresh, the wait time was pretty accurate, the little bit of crust I had had a good flavor.
Cons: bread sticks were kind of hard and the butter wasn’t completely melted. The pizza had so much sauce on it I had to wipe it off. We ordered a hand tossed and the pizza was paper thin to the point that the toppings weighed it down, I would say it wouldn’t be considered «hand tossed» by any means; I actually was afraid it wasn’t cooked all the way through because the pizza crust was just flopping around.
Pizza crust can’t be paper thin and sloppy, it’s the heart of the pizza! Think about having a wet, soggy burger bun to go with your burger, same idea, the foundation isn’t there! There can’t be faults in the foundation in either situation! I’m so let down, #pizzaislife

Slight annoyance with not being able to get delivery… I live in North Chico (2.4 miles from Pizza hut) and they tell me they don’t deliver this far… BUT they will deliver to south Chico addresses (3+ miles from Pizza hut) Someone needs to rethink their delivery plan.

Been craving Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza. Called in a pick up order and it was ready on time. One issue I see is parking. If popular enough hopefully a bigger location. Good luck and thanks for being on this side of town. Pizza was just how I remembered it years ago :)

I don’t even know where to get started with this place. It was chaotic the second I walked in. There were many people waiting inside while all the workers were frantically running around back. We weren’t greeted, and there were two people at front counter talking to one another. When we were finally offered help by the cashier, she cut me off to ask if the person behind me in line was picking up an order. We were told it was going to be a 20 – 25 minute wait, so we left and came back at its «ready» time that they have displayed on their TV screen. As we were leaving the restaurant to wait for our pizza, we overheard a very upset man on the phone complaining about the service inside, which we completely agreed with. When we came back, our pizza wasn’t ready and had to wait another 20 minutes before it was ready. We waited a total of 45 minutes for our pizza. In the time we were waiting, we observed two angered families who were upset about their pizza orders because 1) Pizza Hut sent out someone’s pizza for delivery while the customer was in the store and 2) someone ordered their pizza online and came in to pick it up and was told it was going to be about a 40 minute wait! The place is completely unorganized and the workers don’t seem to know what they are doing.
On top of that, our pizza was soggy due to all of the grease it was soaked in. Only good part was the stuffed crust. Probably going to stick to Dominoes from now on.

No more driving to Oroville for Pizza Hut! Yes, I did that.
This Pizza Hut just opened (finally, after what was at least one year of «COMING SOON!».) I placed my order using my account on
. I was able to use an online coupon and I saved over $ 6. For a moment I was happy to be saving over $ 6, but then I saw the price of the WingStreet wings at almost $ 1 per wing and my happiness went away. I drove to the restaurant and arrived about 20 minutes after placing my order. This Pizza Hut is crammed into small building on the side of Mangrove Ave. and shares its few parking spots with the business next door. I can’t imagine getting a parking spot during peak hours. I also can’t imagine trying to back out directly onto Mangrove Ave. during peak hours. My food was ready and waiting when I walked in! I expected a few small issues and the ones that I encountered were fairly modest including confusion over whether or not marinara dipping sauce comes with Cheese Sticks (for $ 6 it had better, and
says that it does) and the website not offering bleu cheese dipping sauce even though the store has it available. All in all I’d say that those are minor things. One of the managers was my cashier and she was super friendly and accommodating.
Have you had Pizza Hut’s WingStreet wings? Unlike other national pizza chains Pizza Hut actually deep fries their wings! This is the only correct way to cook wings. If you want good wings get Pizza Hut’s WingStreet wings in traditional bone-​in and with Buffalo Burnin’ Hot sauce. Outstanding! If you’ve read enough of my reviews you know that I’m into wings so when I say these are good, they’re good.
Let’s hope that Chico and it’s 87,000+ inhabitants can actually sustain a Pizza Hut this time.

It’s a Pizza Hut so you get the pizza every Pizza Hut offers with whatever specials they have to offer. This one juuuuuust opened and I’ve had a craving for stuffed crust since I moved out of Napa. It’s not my favorite pizza ever but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE STUFFED CRUST!!!
