Do not use Red Top Storage. I rented a unit for two months. Once I moved my stuff out into my brand new house… I found cockroaches everywhere! I still have not even unpacked the boxes, but they are in the empty room where i put all of my storage boxes. I already called pest control and they were shocked to see that I had a problem when arriving to my house because they said, «my house is so new and clean and that the new neighborhood that I am in should not have this kind of problem» once I told them that I had my stuff in storage they said that 100 percent that is where the roaches came from. So now I have to pay 200 dollars to get the roaches out of my BRANDNEW house. I spoke with the manager and all she could say was«thanks for letting me know… I will get them to come out and spray your unit.» Just so you know. they need to bomb all of the units… If roaches can get through an electric outlet, they can surely get through all of the other storage units. And I am sure all of the other units are already infested. Fun fact… Roaches can live months without food and still survive so don’t think you are safe if you don’t have food in your unit. They also can eat anything… wood, cushions, anything! The manager would also not let me speak to the owner to tell him about my situation, or even let me try to contact him. Even after I explained to her that it was going to cost me 200 dollars to get rid of these pests. By the way. I am not the type of person that would ever write a comment like this but I really do use Unilocal reviews and I want to inform other people about this so they do not have to go through the mess that I am especially through the already stressful time of moving into your new place. Another point that I would like to add… is that the homeless population is in this storage unit place all the time. They ride their bikes all day long and go from unit to unit of people they know. They stuff is everywhere outside their unit during the day and then put it back at night. I did not feel safe going there alone at all. For those of you that do rent from this place right now, I would suggest moving out as soon as possible. If you find a new storage place maybe put roach killer stuff in your new unit… Or if you move your stuff back into your house, make sure you leave all your boxes in your garage and then slowly move one box at a time and go through everything slowly and shake out all of your clothes or wash them before bringing into your house. Hope this helps!

I rented a unit last summer when I moved my daughter out of the dorms at Chico State. Didn’t want to haul everything home but her new apartment wasn’t ready for another month. Clean unit, moved everything in no problems. Came back about two months later and moved everything out. Manager was very helpful. I just went online and reserved another unit for this summer. Great place for short term storage!
