The Breakfast Buzz

Excellent and fast breakfast. We ordered the French toast which was bomb and a biscuit and gravy. Well worth the price here!

The food was good nothing special. But the service was pretty bad. We waited 20 mins to be seated all the while there were plenty of open seats in the restaurant. Not to mention you have to deal with a lot of drunk/​hungover people all around you.

This place is like a roller coaster, I stopped going after both the
food and service slid from great to horrible. I was served potatoes
that were likely boiled in used toilet water, and my bone dry coffee
cup was only half filled because her thumb was half way down the
inside of my cup. Happy to say after a few recent visits this place
is better than ever. Today I had the special, an «omelette» full of
spinach, tomatoes and sprouts and other fresh veggies, topped with a
very generous portion of cheese and avocado. Hands down one of the
best breakfasts I have had in Chico. The sprouts offered a little
crispness that just made all the other flavors pop, a little salsa on
the side for some heat this could easily be a signature dish. The
service this morning was perfect, she happy and cheerful when I walked
in 5 mins after they opened and asked to sit outside. Coffee was hot,
fresh and kept full, and she checked on me without being intrusive or
lingering, much better service that I get at more expensive places in
town. Sadly she told me this is her last day, Hopefully the future
servers will keep pace with this rejuvenated menu and atmosphere. So
take advantage while this place is on the upswing.

Food was great!!! Service great as well. Don’t order the champagne brunch, too expensive for a $ 3 bottle.

We love the Buzz! We are fortunate to have a location now here in SLO too. The food is well-​priced and portions are good. We can always rely on their cheerfulness, clean restaurant and good food quality. Expect a wait on the weekends, this place is worth it.

First time eating here today. The food was delicious! The place is small and cozy which was nice. There was only one guy waiting on everyone but he was super friendly and gave excellent service. I definitely recommend this as a great place to have breakfast in Chico with your friends.

Like any college student who just finished with school and wants to get together with friends and drink before they start packing up would want to come to this place so I understand that they are quite busy at the time we were coming in. We (my friends and I) waited for about 30 min to get to table which wasn’t that bad. The waitress, however, completely forgot about us and we had to wait for about another 20 min till one of us got and started looking for her. She didn’t serve our water, the guy who was taking care of the party list served us. Once we got our mimosas, we noticed that the waitress left the restaurant. We think that she finished her shift as we never saw her again but now we didn’t have a host and we were pretty sure that she didn’t tell anyone. The guy who seated us took in charge and served us our drinks and another lady gave us our food.
The food was good and the bottomless mimosas are worth the price if you are planning on drinking more than 2 drinks ($ 9.50). Fair warning though, if you eat your breakfast really fast but still want more drinks, they may not serve you more so take your time when eating. This experience could’ve been a lot worse if it wasn’t for that guy who seated us. I should’ve asked for his name but oh well. He was working on Fri ¹²⁄₁₈ around 10am if you managers read this. I’ll come back again to this place to enjoy times with friends

BISCUITS n gravy is only one biscuit. Really lame when restaurants short you like that. My homie even threw up after he ate it. Only go here for champagne brunch, go somewhere else for food

Breakfast buzz. Pffft. More like the breakfast buzz kill. My meal made me sick, like literally sick. I couldn’t eat for the rest of the day.
Thank you to the staff for being polite and helpful but management should understand that diner food can be delicious without having a ton of grease and salt. McDonald’s has a less greasy breakfast, I’d imagine. Ugh.

Bad food. Poor service. Only thing I loved was THE CHAMPAGNE! But $ 8 on top of your meal price? You better drink your money’s worth ;)

I heard about the Buzz Mugs and thought that was pretty cool, but their mugs don’t even come with a free drink — and I wouldn’t even call them «Buzz Mugs» more like «Mason Jar with Handle with Sticker». I went to eat today intending on getting a mug but I changed my mind when I found out they’re $ 4 and that doesn’t include a drink.
Food was overpriced for what it was. You can’t charge high-​end breakfast prices and not have the quality to back it up. The potatoes were undercooked and I could have made the eggs benedict better at home myself.
Two stars instead of one because I can see that they’re at least trying to be a little unique as far as breakfast places go. They have the potential to turn things around but at this point I’d be surprised if they managed to make that happen.

Honestly, I would only come here for the drinks. Orange juice is hella crisp and on point. Other than that it totally sucked. Hella loud ass people. Servers lingered around our table (not in the good way). Took hella long to take our order… Yeah food was alright. Nothing like café coda… Yeah… Wait time wasn’t bad though

Great champagne brunch! Get there early though because it filled up! The food was delicious and I loved the bee mason jars that they had the mimosas in. Can’t beat $ 8.50 bottomless mimosas!

Great food, great prices, and great service! Food is always out in a timely matter and always tastes fantastic. Service is superior. ⁵⁄₅ stars from me, definitely my all time favorite breakfast spot.

I love it here but I have a terrible fear of loose fans & a lot of their fans are sketchy & wobbles back & forth. Maybe they can tighten them up.

Today during our brunch @ the breakfast buzz there was a very loud rowdy table there when we got there after about 45 min of obnoxious laughing & hollering one of the people in the party got offended by some people that were turning to stare @ all the noise the situation escalated to a grown man calling out a young girl to «say it to his face» followed by him throwing a side cup of butter across the room @ the girl. None of this was fault of the workers but the way they handled the situation was extremely poor they were still serving the man champagne & did not remove him. He clearly should have been cut off earlier & asked to leave as soon as he started being offensive. Very very disappointing experience.

I’m not a fan of this place. Got the «corned beef hash» but it was really just beef hash. Tasted terrible, didn’t even take more than a couple bites because it was that bad. Also service was really slow even know there was only a few tables here. Didn’t refill our drinks, didn’t follow up on if our food was good, and also waitress was kinda rude! Won’t be back here’s my beef hash…

Oh boy, where do i even start with this place?
Well, first of all when my group of 5 arrived we put our name on the waiting list. They seemed to be pretty slammed and understaffed which explained why there was no hostess present. The server told us it would be 35 minutes AT THE MOST. We ended waiting about an HOUR AND A HALF. None of the wait staff was helpful in anyway and it was really frustrating experience for a group of hungry customers!
Finally, we notice that they’re starting to call names off of the wait list, and wowww they sat two parties (the same size party as ours) that were after us on the wait list before us. What a fucking joke this place is. After we complained numerous times they promised they would have bottles of champagne and orange juice for our bottomless mimosas waiting for us on our table. Yeah, they didn’t even do that for us when we finally arrived at our table. I was also pissed because not only did we wait over an hour and a half for a fucking table, we only had about an hour to eat and drink our bottomless mimosas before the establishment closed at 2:00 pm.
I will say that our server did a pretty good job getting our champagne and food out in a timely fashion. Overall, it was not worth the wait, but we stuck it out because we were starving and we already waited over an hour and a half anyway. I will say that I will never ever be back again. Very unfriendly and not very helpful staff. It was poorly managed and just overall shitty and frustrating experience.
