Hey guys. What was up this morning? Took forever to get food. No, not just a little time, a really long time! Server, something wrong with her??? Should not have been working this morning. Asked for jam … Brought in a tablespoon size paper pill cup. Lol. Bad scene.

This place is nice, I personally had a great time!!! Just moved to Chico from a «big city“where most places offer great guests care(service) amazing food and tasty drinks.(so I don’t understand few of the comments in Unilocal about places beein the big city type) what’ssss! I honestly been eating out almost every day and I can say how most places in beautiful Chico do not care about their customers or at least it doesn’t look like they do, the food is blahhh. I understand lay back and all that but some of this places should be in restaurant nightmare tv shows, I’m not a Unilocaler but I had to pull this out, sorry! I recommend this place for sure!

I ordered the 2 eggs and bacon breakfast and my friend ordered the French toast, I liked her meal a little more than mine. My food was good tho and there was no wait which was nice. My only complaint would be the portion size, I ate all my food and was still hungry after. The service was pretty good, I would go back… next time a little more dressed up its really nice inside

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Very relaxed environment and quick service. The food was out very fast, maybe 10 minutes if that. And the French toast was amazing. I never review but I am now simply because how good the French toast was. My boyfriend got the steak chile relleno and he loved it too. Great place. Definitely recommend!

A few of us stopped in on Saturday evening for drinks. I had never been but a couple of my friends said it was the best place in Chico to get a drink. They were not kidding! I wasnt sure what to order so I asked the bartender to surprise me. He asked if I was into smokey flavors and concocted this amazing drink. I will surely be back since I forgot what he called it. My friends drinks were equally as tasty. My new favorite bar! Thanks 220!

Tried this place twice! Once for dinner and once for breakfast! The wait staff have always been kind and the time that I had breakfast my friend and I couldn’t decide which dish to get. So we got both and they spilt it for us on plates! It was a prefect combination! We ordered their French toast(sweet) and their egg/toast/sausage dish(savory). Prefect balance on a plate. It was very kind of them to offer to split it for us The presentation looked great too. The time we had dinner. The food was better than ok but I want to try it again before I give my full opinion. I have seen them advertise special dinners. Like mushroom dinners and they hold high tea. Looking forward to going back

Had breakfast. Wonderfully shocked. Great service and excellent food. Their chefs take a simple meal and turn it into something spectacular.

Hey Chico peps ! This please looks like it’s ready for a big city crowd but lacks timing and a great management team. Sorry but my first brunch experience was lack luster. Hex beers from the bar were great but it’s was all down hill from there. Food took 35 plus min to come out and was totally lack luster. Too bad because I had only medium expectations. But really cold fries and old eggs are hard to get over. Can’t wait to come back for another try and was looking for this place to be my goto Sunday haunt.

Came here with my boyfriend’s family over the holidays for a special dinner night out. We were seated at this long table with really cool high backed chairs. Loved the design of the place, vibe was very modern, clean and quite enough to hold a table wide conversation. We all ordered a variety of the dinner specials, and I was quite pleased with my Moroccan chicken dish with fluffy couscous. Multiple people ordered the rib dinner, which they felt was the best value(big plate) and delicious. Every plate was beautifully presented. The only complaint was from my boyfriend who ordered a portabella pizza and the slices were so long, it made it awkward to eat. That’s hardly a worry in my book. The cocktails were all very fancy and delicious. The egg nog was perfectly spiked and spiced. Everything was top notch and we all enjoyed the meal. This is a great place for a fancy dinner out with a small group.

Food: I came here with 3 other colleagues for dinner. I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered the roasted pasilla chili relleno. It was complemented with roasted butternut squash, potatoes, sweet peppers, queso fresco, and green chili, making it a fiber-dense yet deliciously assembled dish! I’ll definitely come back for their brunch with friends! Service: Attentive and consistent. Our server gave helpful recommendations and often checked back. Ambience: The clean and neat interior has a subdued classiness to it. This makes it a versatile space for anything from dates to professional events to bar hangouts. If you have guests in town, it’s conveniently attached to the Diamond Hotel.

So I wanted to share my wonderful experience at this amazing spot. This place is so nice that I make sure I go every Tuesday. Lets start with the bar: I have had The Leppy, a wonderfully smooth rye based drink with a subtle kick and a smooth citrus after bite, made by mix master David. Normally I am not a Bourbon or whiskey person, I love my rum, but this drink turned me on to the wonderful world of Bourbon. Now the food: Small plates that I have had so far: Sriracha Pork belly: I have had dreams of this dish when Chef Michael gave me a small sample to whet my appetite. The spice bite of the sriracha sauce and the unctuousness of the pork belly was amazing and then the light and crunchiness of the corn cake was slightly sweet and great texture. Mix that with the Jalapeño jam and it all melds together to a wonderful light bite that opens up your pallet and makes you want more every bite. Wild Mushroom«Chorizo» toast: The caramelized wild mushrooms were so meaty and sauteed so nicely with the slightly spicy kick of the Chorizo sauce; put on top of toast slices was a good hearty bite every time. The cheese sauce that was served with it just elevated the dish and tied it all together. Then there was the Tempura Pickle that just gave that tartness to combine all the flavors you want in something so small. 2 weeks later I am still thinking about that meal. Large Plates: I started my experience here with Gnocchi, and not just any one; Wild Mushroom Gnocchi. It was … decadent and light… it was everything I wanted right there at that moment and it was this dish that got me hooked here. The mushrooms were soft and tender but still meaty and held form. The Gnocchi it self was pillowy and full of flavor soaked up from the butter and peas(which were bursting with flavor and still firm). All of this was on a sweet carrot purée that was smooth and lush. My all time favorite! The next week I had the Market fish; lets just say WOW! I wish I could remember the name of the fish but I remember the flavors of the dish and how flaky the fish was that came off in the most perfect fork ready chunks just waiting for you to plunge into it and take a bite. Then there was the Arugula, Fennel, Orange and Shallot Salad that was placed on top of it and the briny pickle taste of the shallots and sweetness of the Mandarin orange and slight tartness from the Pomegranate Aioli … I want that as a salad just that and I would be happy. The vegetable couscous was just as flavorful and I wish I could make couscous like that, I would have a bowl of that with some steak on top as a snack. Definitely would order that again. Lastly was the Maple Cured Pork Loin; let me preface with the fact that I don’t like pork chops… and I LOVED these. The chop was so moist and flavorful with the sear of a steak and I literally picked up the bone and ate it as you would a rib to get all of the little bits off the bone; and no I didn’t care how I looked, it was that good. The corn cakes that came with it were still just as good and the Apple butter that went with it was amazing flavor change from a hot sweet(Jalapeño Jam) to a smooth sweet/tart(Apple butter). Those carrots and broccolini… I want to know how to do that because those were so good, it had a roasted flavor, slight crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. I really enjoyed this meal. For dessert I had the Bread Pudding. The bread pudding was made with waffles and it was crunchy and had depth of flavor from all the different textures and the syrupy apple slices, with a salted caramel crunch really rounded out the dessert and you don’t even miss the«normal» sauce that would go with a bread pudding its a great variation. Just know that it is suppose to be a «dry» bread pudding and it doesn’t disappoint. Like I stated before I will continue to go there every Tuesday and see what new items Chef Michael and his team come up with. Between him and Mix master David they both make amazing creations! When the summer hours open up I will be there more and later just to enjoy it all. Thank you for making great food and as a «welcome to Chico» for me.

Have been back two more times since the previous review and although the restaurant seems somewhat«classy» for Chico(I especially like the cloth towels in the bathroom) and the service has been fine, and Michael their chef obviously cares, to ME overall the food isn’t something to rave about. When our server asked how we would like our burgers cooked two of us asked to have them cooked medium rare and the burgers arrived super well done(very dry meat). Also the meat didn’t seem as large(maybe due to shrinkage as they were so way overcooked) as well as not as tasty or «deluxe» as the previous time. Putting their(ordinary, nothing special) fries into paper and then into a cup may seem cool or extraordinary however to us it just makes them harder to grab when ½ have been eaten. Two of us had waffles and chicken and although they didn’t look that appealing it actually did taste pretty good. It will be a while before we try them again. Hopefully they’ll still be in business in a year.

So impressed! We dined here for my son’s birthday. Everything was perfect. They offer a creative, delicious menu with something for everyone. The presentation was amazing. My older son ordered the butternut squash ravioli and it was incredible. My 14-year-old birthday boy ordered the salmon dinner and it was prepared perfectly. I asked for grilled chicken with the kale salad and it was delicious. There cocktail list is so fun and creative. They wine list is well rounded. There is the option to dine at the elegant, yet comfortable bar. I loved the décor of the entire establishment. The staff was amazing — they were immediately attentive and friendly and remained so throughout our entire meal. The wonderful waitress gave my son a beautiful birthday dessert with three delicious treats. It was fantastic! I will absolutely return to this highly exceptional restaurant!

To be fair this is a review for the bar only as we haven’t been back to try the food. My husband and I used to love going to Johnnies(the bar– we had several bad experiences with service on the food side) and were excited to try out Two Twenty when it reopened. Our first trip was just for drinks after Thursday market and we had no complaints. The bar was busy, and there was plenty of staff. A few weeks later I brought my mother with me for a quick pre-dinner cocktail when she came to visit. There was one other couple at the bar, and we chose a table so we could chat. The bartender didn’t acknowledge is for several minutes, and only then to tell us that someone would be out to help us. We let him know we only wanted drinks, and he said someone else would bring us a cocktail menu. We waited another 5 minutes as I watched the bartender organize behind the bar and wipe down a table at the opposite end. He again called down to us that someone would be with us soon… Another couple came in and a girl, who obviously knew them, came out and began chatting with them, took their order, and the bartender began making their drinks. I worked in food service here throughout college, and In a town with as many cocktail stops as Chico, I don’t need to wait 15 minutes to order a $ 9 drink. We left and caught happy hour at Crush.

This was our first visit to Two Twenty and we couldn’t be more impressed! This restaurant; in just one visit, has become one of only 3 of our most favorite places to eat at in Chico! We tried a variety of appetizers, entrees and drinks(made by the FABULOUS Meghan Lane) and we topped it all off with a great dessert. Our waitress(Stephanie) was so pleasant and accommodating that our expectations of our food, drinks and atmosphere were only made even better by her fantastic attitude and overall service. We were visited by the Executive Chef, who stopped by to see how we were doing and we watched as he personally checked every dish leaving the expo. You could tell the love, passion and pride that the staff, cooks, bartenders and management hold for Two Twenty. Each dish was beautifully presented, at the appropriate temperature and seasoned perfectly. We are sure we will quickly become regulars at this establishment… more than impressed! Don’t let up… you’re on to great things!

Disappointing and expensive. I loved Johnnie’s and maybe it’s not fair to compare, but Two Twenty is a let down. No happy hour, which is sort of sad. We ordered the«Humboldt Fog 12,» and I don’t know what I was expecting, but it was literally half a toasted pita topped with a drizzle of honey, a slab of cheese, and slices of apple. Not quite sure why they include«Honeycomb» in the description when there was no comb in sight. I think they aimed too high with their style of cuisine and fail to deliver on that level.
