My wife and I wanted to try a new places to eat. I used Unilocal to locate this restaurant. The Service and wait time was excellent. This restaurant was known for serving quality sushi according to Unilocal reviews. My wife and I wanted to try their new item which was similar to boiling crab. We both order the shrimp with Cajun sauce which tasted like the boiling crab. It’s was much cheaper and tastier than boiling crab. We are definitely come back! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Better than any other crab place.(No long wait and service is good). Crab legs are big and tasty. And the sauces are really good. Will be back definitely!!! Again, highly recomended! The best Japanese food in the area. The food is very good and the service is excellent. Sushi is fresh and very decorative. Highly recommended!

First time here, service was ok, they knew nothing about sushi or their menu. Fish was not fresh. Decided to give them another try. What a mistake! They scorch all their sushi before sending it out to hide the fact that it isn’t fresh! Gross! We sat at the sushi bar ordered and the chef studied the menu of what we order and still got it wrong, when we complained there was no Avocado in the roll like the menu stated he said I don’t do that anymore! Umm… ok LOL This place is not legit sushi. Employees are incompetent.

Since they’ve opened, and we’ve come, it’s been good. Food tastes fresh. Customer service could be improved; however, I blame proprietors for what’s lacking. Customer service is learned not gained by osmosis. Happy hour is okay; however, I’ve seen better deals at other establishments that serve the same style of food. Back to the customer service, the girls are sweet and apologetic when dealt with the worst customers who vent and complain over the stupidest things. They just need some refinement and some polishing. Okay, to add to my post, which I do have to add, it took them 32 minutes to make a Habachi Roll! Now mind you, there’s only three sets of customers there at around 5:00 pm. The proprietor, needs to hire a new an improved Sushi Chef. I wish I had taken a picture of the sushi I did not eat because the quality was subpar. The little drops of Sarachi they put on each cut piece was an insult to other chefs. It was the sloppiest work I have ever seen as he ended the last part of the roll with just blending all of it at the end. I thought I was done hearing a woman complain loudly over every single thing, but the chef needs to retire and let new improved blood take his place.

I tried this place again and it was a huge mistake. Service was still lacking. They got my order wrong and gave me the wrong item. When I brought this to their attention, they took the wrong plate to the back and made the correct order which resulted in a long wait time. There was no comp or even an apology. I got sashimi and the rainbow roll. Nothing to write home about. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. Just meh. It get a feeling the five star reviews for this place are all fake or from family friends. Which makes sense since most of the profiles only have one or two reviews. Save your money and avoid this place.

Place was empty. So, I was expect good food and service . But, Tempura was cold Fish was fishy. Service was slow What can I say ? Maybe business too slow ? I saw all employee sat on the sushi bar and chatting or playing phone while we having meal . I never had any dinning experience like that . Just horrible. Feel like not welcome.

Not too bad at all. Very friendly service. I had a coupon so we decided to try it out. It’s very affordable. We started out with garlic edamame and wrapped up with a samurai roll & a baked scallop roll. Our server was very friendly and the drinks stayed full. The rolls overall were good. Not the best I have had but worth the price overall.

Ok check in the box. We came, we tried, we won’t be back. The sushi rolls were soggy & fell apart :(we order chicken teriyaki for my 2 yr old with sauce on the side, they brought it to the table & chicken was cold. the only good thing was the mushroom miso soup. The waitresses were young but very nice. Unfortunately not very experienced. I kept hearing them apologize to other patrons for mistakes made.

Overall it’s a new restaurant to try not quite Toro Suchi but they are trying. Staff are really sweet and try hard to please. Atmosphere is nice great decorations. Food is okay — Lobster Roll was the best item we ordered — real lobster which you don’t get very often at Suchi places. We used a Restaurant coupon so it was worth it will try again, hopefully it picks up.

Edible. Lobster roll $ 18 tasted OK Salmon roll $ 12 boring Miso soup $ 3.50(with mushrooms/clams) not very good Salad $ 350 pieces way to big to eat Tea $ 2.50 each — a lot for tea but very tasty green tea Overall too much money for bland, boring sushi. Had a certificate and they wanted a printed copy. After arguing that I’m not going to print it, they accepted the phone/app. Food was not bad, but no need for me to go again.

i am not sure how this place got such good reviews. My Fiancé and I went on a Saturday, around…630pm? it was dead, us, plus 1 other couple were here. The restaurant inside is nice. Clean. We ordered the Spicy Hamachi Tataki– this was the best roll of the night, but nothing that would make me come back. Sashimi Roll– i had high hopes for this, sounded like it would be light and refreshing, instead it all had 1 texture, no crunch, soft, the soy paper kind of soggy. Next we decided to split the Habachi NY Steak Special– she didnt ask us how we wanted our steak cut, but i mentioned Medium– and the waitress seemed confused that i even asked that… the meat came out, on a fajita like skillet, and the meat was greasy, the flavor was just OK. the veggies that they mentioned come with this plate consisted of bean sprouts in a lot of oil. overall, i wouldnt come back to this place.

If I could give this place a zero, I really would. So my family and I decided to come here for an early dinner on Saturday night. There was a total of 5 of us. We arrived at 5:45pm and we were the only ones in this place. We had plans to watch a play that evening that started at 8:00 pm. We assumed that would give us plenty of time to eat and leave. That didn’t happen. Our waitress came and sat us then took our drink order. Simple enough, then we started asking simple questions about the menu; such as «what kind of tempura comes in the tempura dinner special? Do you have any teriyaki bowls?» She had no idea about anything. Okay so I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was new? She took our order at 5:55pm and we waited and waited and waited and did I mention waited?! The order was very simple 4 teriyaki plates and 1 rainbow roll. Nothing more nothing less. So other people started trickling in. The place became a little more busy around 6:30 but we still had no food. Finally I decided to ask the waitress about our food and she stated that she would check on it. I mentioned that we had a play to go to at 8:00 pm and I we wanted to be out of here by 7pm. So she came back at 6:45 with no food and finally after a long hour with no food she finally decided to bring out the food at 7:15. Totally unacceptable and embarrassing to my family for suggesting this place. Not only was the food late there was burnt paper in my moms teriyaki bowl and not to mention they only brought out 3 out of the 4 bowls. They never checked in on us for refills and taking that long for the food to come out is completely unacceptable and poor quality of service. The manager came out to apologize and I went on and on about how appalled I was with the service and she took off 10% off the bill. As if that was going to make up for loss time and making us late to our play. And Just when we thought the horrific service was over they didn’t split the bill like we had asked. We had cash and card and they charged everything on the card and the waitress assumed that $ 50 was her tip. Here’s a tip to the business… Don’t suck!

I really really wanted to like this place because I’m all for rooting for local places. I live just 5 minutes away. We came in on a Friday night and noticed that only 2 tables were taken. This normally raises suspicion, however, we still decided to give this place a shot because heck, you can’t judge until you try. The food was ok and it seems like they had put in a lot of effort into the décor, the waitresses were super attentive and service was great. The broiled mussels and oysters were great. But the thing that turned us off the most was the price. For a place that mostly served sushi rolls, it was quite expensive. I checked with the surrounding sushi places around the area and they were at least $ 3 – 4 more. Doesn’t sound like a lot but when you want to try a few varieties, it adds up. Sigh, I’m not sure that I would come back here.

This restarurant is very niceley decorated. It is very over-priced for the amount of food given. The food is delicious but they need to provide more value for the dollar. It is in a strip mall next to a movie theatre which is the reason we stopped instead of going to Chino Hills. If the owners want their restaurant full with movie goers she should really consider going to check out the value the area sushi restaruants provide and she will have a winning combination. If not this restaruant will close down.

This place not that great. I think the food was over priced for the quality of fish. We ordered salmon sashimi that was horrible cut. It also did not taste here fresh. The Super Poke roll had this weird stringy garnish that didn’t appear to be eatable. Not sure why that was there. The two waitress was very nice and attentive.

I’ve been eating sushi since I was 12, when my best friend’s Japanese mom introduced me to it. Yes, I’ve been to Japan to savor the real thing. I was delightfully surprised by the quality and the creativity of the food at Epoh. I started with the salmon sashimi, this is usually a good indicator of the freshness a restaurant’s fare. It was right on point, succulent and sweet! Instead of poring through the diverse menu and struggling to decide what I wanted next(everything sounded delicious!) I asked the owner what she would recommend and she told me that the Epoh special roll was very popular. Good call! I gasped in delight when in was delivered to me, the roll was surrounded with dancing flames as the server set the plate down on the table. Ooooohhhh la la, it felt like my birthday! Great wow factor! Those of you who are purists may not enjoy this roll because you will view it as an American concoction… I will forgive the mayonnaise dressing because of the spicy Wasabi zing. Yes, even picky me had to close my eyes and groan with yumminess. I’m in my happy place when I was presented with the poke salad. It was gynormous. Most places would give you a ton of lettuce and just a little Itty bitty bunch of poke, this was definitely 75% poke and a little Itty bitty bit of greens. Can’t complain, this is a really great deal! Still on a roll here, hahaha, I hope you got that? Next I got a boat load of sashimi, literally. It was the cutest little boat filled with a sampling of fish… AND it came with tempura on the side. My favorite things, I felt like opening the best Christmas gift ever! Yes, I had a glass of wine with dinner and for a house wine it was lovely. Yes, I watched out for what other reviewers noted, the service and the wait time. I was actually impressed by the waitstaff, they didn’t hover and ask you questions when you are chewing with your mouth full. They were truly friendly and knew when you needed something. Yes, they knew the menu well. It was a gastronomically memorable evening. Definitely five stars from the picky foodie.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to sushi don’t ask me why :) but I’ve heard nothing but great reviews about this place! So i decided to check it out. My husband and I drove all the way from North Hollywood to Chino just to try this place and it’s worth the drive. I tried and Lobster dynamite sushi and the epoh special and it tasted amazing! Epoh is sushi realness and you should try it yourself The staff is super Friendly and the decorations are great too! Id definitely come back next time!
