Ono Hawaiian BBQ

The food here is great like every other Ono’s, however the service here was slow and horrible compared to others that I have been to. Maybe it’s cause they just recently opened and are still trying to get a system that works, or maybe it’s bad management, I don’t know. I ordered my food at a semi busy time. The place wasn’t packed, but there were about 7 other people in the store at the time. It took about 30 minutes to get my food, with no explanation for why there was such a long wait. If I hadn’t already paid, I would have left. On the bright side, the food tasted fresh and was great.
Pretty much what I do now is just call in my orders ahead of time to avoid such a long wait. However just be prepared to yell your order through the phone as the acoustics of that place seems to center right around the cashier and they won’t be able to hear you over the kitchen.

This is my first Unilocal review ever. I find it necessary to just say this one thing. This was my first visit at Ono, in fact I’m currently eating my order as I type this. The food is super yummy, and it’s satisfied a curiosity for this place! Unfortunately I will no longer return to this specific location for the following reason: the customer service wasn’t so great. As stated previously, it was my first visit to Ono and I wasn’t sure what to expect. So I just looked at the menu as the young lady at the register stared at my boyfriend and I in annoyance. Once I was ready to order a gentlemen in glasses directed me to his register. I asked him what was the vegetable noodle made of, and he looked at me and responded in the rudest way «Vegetable nooooodle». Maybe it was my way of asking but I wanted to know what the noodle was made of (rice, flour etc.) then he went on to investigate and gave me my answer (it’s flour by the way). Honestly after that, I just felt uncomfortable, but I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, so I ordered our meal. I was even apprehensive to ask the young lady for some condiments which ran out at the counter but she had this unapproachable look on her face that I just didn’t want to bother. Honestly, I can go on and on about my entire experience but there is no point. Basically… The food is bomb here… The customer service not so much… Won’t be coming back to this location. Thank you.

My first time to come. Wow! The cashier girl is super nice smile all the time. I like BBQ chicken! Will come again

It’s been a couple of weeks since I have been here and I am craving their food! I mean, the white rice is magical, (for being white rice) I’m not sure what it is slathered in, but I’d actually prefer not to know because I’ll probably stop eating it. The cabbage salad is also to die for. My 6 and 7 year old loved it. They like salad, but they really liked this one. We shared 2 plates, and had leftovers. I wish I still had the leftovers. :(This Ono is not that close to me, and I know there are more in the area, but I would prefer this one because of the ambiance and décor. You definitely feel like you aren’t in an old shopping center in Chino. The décor is pretty amazing. I love the wood walls and the plant life.
Can’t wait to go back.

This Hawaiian BBQ restaurant is pretty good. They offer a variety of meats and seafood with either rice, macaroni salad or regular salad. The staff here are always nice and they’ll offer you a bag for your condiments when they see you filling up at the condiments section. They are the one of the few Hawaiian BBQ places we visit.

Very modern interior, though the hanging rope lights can seem dusty. The staff and owner are friendly and quick with orders.
I’ve been here several times with my family and I usually get the island fire chicken for $ 7.49 and it has a good heat to it, not overwhelming spicy. The salad that comes with the combo is delicious, crisp lettuce and soybeans. Their chicken katsu is great too, the breading is crispy and the chicken is well cooked. Their spam musubi is great as well, they’re not heavy on the rice. The place is clean, restrooms are really clean and the staff is friendly.

Very happy they opened up one close to home. I would normally go to Pomona. Instead of the short ribs that are over priced for what you get, I now go with the family deal with beef, katsu and fire island chicken. The meals usually last us two days. The staff is friendly and dining area is clean.

So glad to have one open closer to home! Came for an early dinner with my family and Zayd was an amazing help. Great to see people working in restaurants with such a great attitude.
He was very helpful explaining the menu, all of the staff was amazing, but Zayd truly went above and beyond.

Wow it has been a long time since I’ve received customer service this good. Kaila is seriously a gift to this location. She is attentive to the customers and has the biggest smile. Not only that but she has such a genuine personality, you can tell she cares a lot about others and her workplace. I think I’m raving so much because it has been awhile since I have left a store with a smile on my face because of the food and awesome service.

WOW! The young man working 1−20−16 @ about 2 pm is an AMAZING employee for this buisness. He greets you as you walk in, is sooooooo friendly to take your order, offers you water as you wait for your TO-​GO-​ORDER. I viewed him from the outside for about 10 minutes before becasue my kids went to Yourgurtland first and I was waiting in car with my little doggie. As I was trying to look at menu and just to see if I would have to wait long… I noticed this young man never stop working. This young man is top notch employee for Hawaiian BBQ. Hawaiian BBQ is lucky to have him. OH! and yes, the food was AWESOMESAUCE! (Yes, that is one word. LOL) Keep up the good work young man, you will go far with your wonderful work ethic, it’s hard to find now days.

This place has horrible management and employees are rude! My fiancé went with our little boy to get food there and while she was trying to park their delivery driver that brings them supplies was driving reckless and without concern for safety or anyone else’s safety. He backed up at high speed without checking if anyone was behind him and got out of his vehicle upset. My fiancé had to swerve out of the way and luckily there were no cars behind her otherwise she would have crashed with our little boy in the vehicle. When my fiancé went in the restaurant with shaking nerves and visually scared she wanted to inform the manager of the incident she was told very rudely that there was nothing that could they could do and that they did not care. I later called the restaurant and was answered by a person who said that there is no manager on duty and the only person in charge didn’t speak English. I asked for the corporate number and manager’s name to leave a formal complaint but they gave no information and the girl on the phone stated that since she didn’t see the incident herself that they will not comply and she literally said the words «go fuck yourself». I will never eat here again and have since contacted the corporate office to inform them of the incident. If you want to eat at a place that gives no fucks about you or your children’s well being then by all means go here, but I have started a boycott.

It’s so good and also the people working here are so nice. The girl named Laura was really helpful in choosing my order. Definitely will be coming again.

Really good first time there today had fire chicken so delicious customer service was very good cashier full of smiles we will certainly be back

Love this place. so glad this opened close to home.
The restaurant is clean, and modern inside. the service is friendly. and the food is good and fresh.
I have been getting the Chicken Breasts Aloha plate, with the lemon pepper chicken, and its so moist and has so much good flavor. Instead of the rice, I add extra salad for .25 extra and its worth it. its really filling.
I have also had the Chicken Katsu, and that is really good as well, the «crisp» is Just enough, its not overpowering to where you feel guilty for eating this piece of «fried chicken»
My fiancé usually orders the plate that has the 3 meats on it, and he really likes the Teriyaki Chicken, the Chicken Katsu and the beef. ohhh and he gets the Macaroni Salad (comes with this entrée) its SOOOOO GOOD! Delicious.
We have been here a few times since it opened now, and each time the experience has been great.

I’ve been going to Young Hawaiian Barbecue in the Chino Spectrum and I really enjoy the food there. The food here is very similar and a shorter drive for me so it seems this is my new go-​to! I can never finish the plates, I think the mini-​meals have a good proportion of food.
I usually get the BBQ chicken and it’s delicious. Very tender and fresh. The grilled lettuce right below adds a nice touch. Yummy place with good service

So glad this place finally opened. This restaurant took over the movie rental place. Couldnt have asked for a better place. The food is amazing and customer service upon walk in was beyond expectations. Greeted by by a staff member with EXCELLENT customer service… ZAYD who greeted with a smile and a loud «welcome»! Advised me of ordering options and even offered some water as we waited for our to go food. Will definitely be a return customer and high five for hiring good staff!

They have great customer services… A really friendly place real clean and the food is supper good and also a very fast service… I really recommend this location

The place is set up nicely and it’s super clean being that it only open a couple a days ago. First and foremost as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile by the gentleman at the counter then as he was helping someone he offered me a menu, means that they are attentive of the customer. Once it was my turn to order the young lady that took care of me was super cool and had a great attitude. I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Mix and she told me that it would be 15 mins for my food. After the wait I got my food, they gave me extra settings and I was off. The only thing stopping me from giving this place 5 stars was the fact that they forgot my katsu chicken, but by that time I was already home to drive back over there. It was upsetting because the plate costed about 9 $. But other then that food was great.

Great customer services! Nothing but smiling faces greeting you as you enter! Great variety of food, the have a health conscious menu as well as there traditional menu! Clean and very well organized you will enjoy coming here
