Always passed it up and never stopped, but this time we did. Excellent food was paired perfectly with the extremely friendly staff. Can’t go wrong for a quick meal that’s not a drive thru hamburger joint.

Tasty beef brisket, delicious potato salad and green beans with bacon. I definitely would come back again.

I have eaten barbecue all over the country. I think I can safely say at least at over 100 restaurants. Dickies is probably the worst barbecue that I’ve ever had. The ends of the ribs were like beef jerky. There is something off about the barbecue sauce it has almost a chemical taste to it. I ordered the jalapeño beans they were actually very good but didn’t really have a place with the barbecue. I ordered mashed potatoes which tasted like they came out of a box. And the biscuit was heavy and doughy I’m not even sure if it was cooked all the way. The whole restaurant is kind of depressing with the lights turned out as low as they are in the outdated look. This is unfortunate because I really want to like it since it was a local but I don’t think I will be coming back.

I wish I lived next door to this place! Spent $ 10 for Big Pulled Pork Sandwich, 2 Medium sides, and a Big drink. I felt like I ate Lunch and Dinner together. And…it came with free self serve ice cream. This is a must — visit place. Go… go now!

Super small portion, spent $ 18 get a kids cup of drink and little taste of 3 meat, obviously the owner or manager serve me, on my sausage he don’t even weight it, drop a piece and he just ignore that piece… on my brisket he opened a new pack of meat, take off all the little dropping part and put it on my plate, not even a piece of real meat. on my rib it was super dry… I can’t believe I have to pay $ 18 for this, in Joey’s BBQ1 mile away you got triple of the amount and better tasted then this place… even Lucilles, woodranch are way better… I missed Rudy’s. this place is nothing like Rudy’s at all…

Sunday afternoon and a coupon. Both of us had the rib plate. Good ribs with lots of meat! Sides were ok — fried okra(needed some reach for dipping), thumbs up on the Mac and cheese, coleslaw was mediocre. Would have liked some butter for the roll without having to ask. The soft serve ice cream is a nice touch but a bit on the too soft side. All in all a decent meal. Will be back.

1) Good food, around $ 11 per person when everything is set and done. 2) They offer FREE soft serve ice cream, yup you heard that right! 3) Very casual place.

Visited this location for the first time yesterday. Ordered the chopped brisket sandwhich and was very disappointed. The meat was extremely fatty, even for brisket. After taking 2 bites of gelatenous, fatty trimmings, I opened the sandwhich to find more of the same. Really gross. I’ve visited many Dickies all across the country and find them to be pretty good, but this one sucks. The free ice cream was so soft it dripped out of the cone. Awful.

I’m shocked at how some of the reviews are lower than a 3 stars. This place has been great every time I’ve come. Great taste/staff/environment. Love the bbq sauce. And there is ice cream for those who like free dessert after/before.

Great food, attentive service, clean restaurant*. I’m a fan. I had their pulled pork and pork ribs as part of their 2 meat plate, along with cole slaw and a caesar salad. VERY tasty bbq, though the meat portions were just a little on the small side. I know that bbq is expensive though so for the price I can’t ding them too much for that, and they make up for it with generous side portions. *One note about the cleanliness aspect. The bathroom sinks have the kind of faucets that, inexplicably, require you to hold the knob down with the same hand that may have just come in close contact with your nether regions, or worse. Which leaves your other hand to, uh, wash itself??? Not good, especially in a place where many people are going to be eating with their hands. I hope the employee bathrooms are not set up the same way.

Only one star because I had to. Fatty food, no taste, you get better beans from a can. There is nothing southern about this place. We got more fat than we had meat. The free ice cream sucked as well. Very disappointing, I asked for a manager and he could have given a crap. This one is off the list. Save your money.

For this place only and not the franchise… 1.) the ice cream they have here is more like a milkshake then ice cream. The last time i came by I was told the machine was broken. It’s been weeks, still it hasn’t been fixed? 2.) the men’s restroom faucet. You have to physically hold down the handle to clean your hand. So you only clean one hand at a time. How can you clean them with this approach? 3.) their Mac and cheese tasted a bit odd. Not sure how I can describe the taste. Something tells me staff was aware of it because when I went back to bring the issue up, their response implied some guilt. As if they were hoping no one would notice.

It seems like a pound of meat here is very little. I do not recommend you order the ribs. I ordered a pound once and literally it was all bone and barely any meat. I would suggest getting the pulled pork and brisket. The fried onion strings and loaded potatoes were good. Overall liked their BBQ sauce and enjoyed some free ice cream while waiting for my order.

Came across this place while driving and looked it up later on Unilocal.Walking in on a Sunday evening, this place was very clean and the staff very friendly. Since it was my first time here, the guy at the register helped me choose a meal. I ordered the westerner sandwich with beef brisket and pulled pork with two sides: mac n cheese and waffle iron fries. The wait was not even long! When my food was brought to me the plate looked like a good size meal, my SO made a good choice not getting her own sides as we shared mine. After first bite, I was so glad I stopped to try this place out. The meat was juicy and had a good flavor to it. To top off the sandwich I tried a few of the sauces, the spicy bbq was my favorite although the other sauces weren’t so bad themselves. Hell, I used them all! Mac n cheese I usually don’t make a big deal out of because it’s such an ordinary side, but I really enjoyed Dickey’s. The waffle iron fries were great as well. Back to the sandwich, I really really enjoyed it. The melted cheddar really was a good combination with the sauce and meat. Now for little details, it’s kinda cool all drinks are souvenir cups. Oh and not important, but this place has crunched ice in the fountain and not the regular ice cubes. Haha I like crunched ice! After letting my food settle, I made sure to head to the ice cream machine for my free treat. Whoever doesn’t like free ice cream is nuts! The free ice cream here is like the cherry to a great big sundae. This place is very clean, has takeout, a simple menu, various sides to choose from, and friendly staff. I surely will be returning. Total cost for two meals $ 21.60 pretty good considering it was a bbq meal.

Had the 2 meat combo for lunch-brisket and pork ribs, with potato salad &BBQ beans. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. This was my first time at a Dickey’s, having seen a bunch of ads on local TV lately for them. The BBQ sauce is a bit sweet, but the meats have a nice smoky flavor, without being over powering. The pork ribs are St. Louis style cut, thick and meaty. The brisket was quite tender, with fair amount of marbling. Beans are good with a similar sweet BBQ sauce, and the potato salad tastes like a dill/mayo type dressing. The very nice gentleman at the counter patiently explained all the menu options, sandwiches, plates, sides, even the bright yellow souvenir cup that can be brought back another visit– which should be coming up very soon! Yum!

On whim we took a trip to see what a chain bbq joint could put out. Obviously I wasn’t expecting the same quality but for the price it was worth a shot. Orders brisket/ham/ribs and a side of pull pork. Not bad but not great a happy medium. Smoke was light for me, I crave a bit of bark. Overall tender meat. Bbq beans — meh! Dill potato salad– pretty good! One thing I didn’t like was how the meat comes slopped in sauce, I prefer to apply at my taste. Obviously the daily specials make it worth it. If your craving bbq on a budget then give it a try. Just don’t expect pitmaster quality.
