I’ve been going to Meg for my hair for almost two years now. She always gives me a haircut that lasts and has a new suggestion to switch it up everytime I’m in! Meg is always on top of it when it comes to scheduling maintenance appointments or full haircuts because she knows how fast my hair grows and how it grows out, I would recommend her to anyone!

I have always had problems with my hair, whether it be too thick, too curly, or too short/​long, etc. But whenever Meg does my hair, I come out feeling beautiful and refreshed!!! I absolutely love this salon. Meg really listens to exactly what you want, but will also offer suggestions and tips if you’re unsure about trying something new. She did my hair and makeup for prom in the spring, and I have never looked so good in my entire life! Over the summer I had my medium length hair chopped into a long bob and got balayage instead of my usual highlights/​lowlights. I’ve never loved my hair as much as now!!! It’s been growing out wonderfully and is still a lob even though it’s beginning to grow some. Also, the balayage helps to look more natural so I do not have to get my hair retouched as much. It’s wonderful!
Meg is clearly VERY passionate about her career. She is such a happy and kind-​hearted individual. She makes you feel like the most important person in the world while you’re in her chair!!! I will be her client for life!

I really wanted to love it. The salon itself was beautiful. Clean, comfortable, and cool. I saw Meg. She was cute and so sweet. However, her inexperienced showed. I told her my texture was unusual as it was straight and wavy and it’s thick. I wanted to cut off around 3 inches and have shape and layers. Showed her some pictures. Told her I wasn’t a fan of thinning sheers and she said she didn’t use them. All went well. But then she started shredding my hair. I guess it’s a new technique? Anyway, my hair hasn’t responded well to it. When she showed me the back, I didn’t like it. She went to add more layers, but again, she did a shredding technique. She said to «play with it» and see what I think and she can fix it when I came back for color in a month. I tried styling it a few different ways. No good. No compliments at work the following day. My sister tried to style for me and said it just seems all shredded in the back and the texture was weird. I have no idea what to do. Meg had to rush off for her next client. And to add insult to injury, my coworker saw her that evening and said she really enjoyed the free glass of wine and I wasn’t even offered a water while I was there. I feel like maybe my texture was too difficult for her or maybe she felt rushed. Again, seemed like the nicest young lady, but it’s probably one of the worst cuts I have had in quite awhile. Now I will have to pay someone to fix it.

I love this place! Megan is amazing and did a beautiful blonde ombré on my very dark brown hair. I have been back 2 more times for touch ups on my blonde and each time came out beautifully. I also came here to get my makeup and hair done for my senior prom and it looked awesome! I felt so gorgeous. Highly recommend!

Aubrey is amazing. She’s really the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to. Her haircuts also grow out beautifully. I’ve spent a lot of money on haircuts that look bad within a week. That’s never happened to me here. I’ve sent friends to her and they’ve been equally impressed. She’s a genius at color and I’ve always ended up with exactly what I want.

Your hair hasn’t reached its potential until Mandy at Black Rabbit has worked her magic. I visited multiple salons in Cincinnati my first two years in the area before finding Black Rabbit — filling in the void of not having a regular salon.
I have really dark hair — resulting in my having a phobia of coloring my hair and it looking like I went Sun-​In crazy circa 1995. BUT, as my first grey hairs started to peek through — I knew this phobia was going to be bad news. Mandy made me LOVE color. I explained my concerns and what I was looking for and she did a fabulous balayage ombré adding in some caramel color that was perfect for summer. I LOVED IT. As fall came along, she added in a bit more of my natural dark color — again perfect for the season. She never cuts off too much or too little and is great at letting you know what will work for you.
In addition to being great at what she does — Mandy is awesome in general. She is fun and friendly and exactly the type of person you want to talk to while you spend quite a bit of time getting your hair done.
The Salon itself is also fabulous. The décor is a mix of rustic and industrial pieces that feel fresh and hip. For example, the mirrors are mounted on old doors that hang from the ceiling — SO COOL and leaves you thinking why didn’t I think of that. The wash sinks are also different than any other I’ve used. They eliminate that whole broken neck feeling you usually experience to get your hair washed. Cheers to ergonomically correct sinks (and why don’t all salons have these?!) They offer you tea, coffee, or other beverages when you arrive — which adds a personalized touch. In my opinion, the prices are great for the quality services you receive.

I should preface this by saying I am not a hair person; I barely blow dry my hair, much less style it! That said, I am consistently impressed by Mandy at Black Rabbit! I always leave feeling like a rockstar. The staff are super friendly and professional, and makes you feel so welcome. They offer free coffee and wine too! I also love the décor; the mirrors are mounted to old doors and suspended from the ceiling – AHH!

I have had several different services done at Black Rabbit and every single one has been superb. Heather does fantastic things with a razor, I can honestly say she gave me the best haircut of my life. Christine makes the waxing experience very comfortable, whether it’s eyebrows or more sensitive areas. The salon itself is modern yet inviting, from the hardwood floors and exposed brick to the stylish and comfortable chairs in the hair stations.
