Love love this place, cool laid back place, great punch, reminds me of the coffee house on the show Friends except with alcohol. I have been here many times, I have enjoyed live bands and comedy shows there. I have a great time anytime I go One of my favorite places in the city to go.

I have been really looking forward to going to Myrtle’s! I came on Friday night. We only stayed upstairs and we sat at the bar the whole time. The doorman(Ricky?) was the most friendly, greatest staff we encountered the entire night. Since we’d never been before, we opted to try the punch flight($ 12). Some of the punches came straight from the tap, and others came partially from the tap and had some other additions(for example, I remember one had prosecco). Anyway, for the flight we ordered, the bartender didn’t bother telling us which was which, so we kind of made a fun game of guessing… until it came time to order my own punch($ 6/each) and I had guessed one incorrectly so the one that I ordered was not the one I meant to order! My own fault. Figured it out and had a few more of the punch I had originally wanted! My favorite punch of the night was Old Aldermann’s. My date had the pinot grigio($ 8/glass). Throughout the night, the bar didn’t ever get too crowded and was pretty tame. Despite this, we only had one bartender who remembered what we were drinking and the name on our tab. A few of the other bartenders(including the one who first served us) were too busy talking to each other, fixing their lipstick, and checking their phones to serve us. We would sit with empty glasses for awhile before the one good bartender would notice us. I thought the drinks tasted great, and our tab was a little higher than we anticipated(it’s okay I can’t help that I had such good company and didn’t want to leave), but the service was subpar. I’d give 3.5 stars if I could.

Ups and downs with this place. Up: nice interior. Down: insufferable Yuppie crowd. Up: rad karaōke on Sunday nights. Down: drinks are ridiculously expensive(four shots of middling quality Buffalo Trace $ 42 after tip? that’s outrageous). I’d give it 2.5 stars, but Unilocal won’t let me. If you’re white, drive a 300Z and your daddy paid for that MBA, this is your joint. If you’re ruhhhl people, knock yo’ ass on down to Northside. First round’s on me.

It’s never good when the bouncer is the nicest person in the bar. He was, indeed, charming. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy Myrtle’s because the bartenders were overtaxed by the small handful of patrons. We waited over 10 minutes without so much as a greeting. Moved down the street to a much friendlier establishment.

Awesome atmosphere, awesome location, awesome punch. Me, my dad, my sisters, and I split a punch bowl. I can’t remember which flavor we got because it really knocked me off my feet! The punch comes in a bowl with little cups served on a cute little tray. We had so much fun pretending we were having a tea party. Myrtle’s also serves small bites and an assortment of craft beers and wines. I really dig this place and I’ll definitely be back!

Went here after my engagement to celebrate, and also try out their drinks, and checked their website to make sure they were open and their site said they were. We went there, and us, along with another random couple, were surprised to see the doors locked and the building closed. Went to the Blind Lemon instead and had a great time. I know a few people who have had bad experiences at Myrtles, so I most likely won’t be trying them in the future.

I’ve been to Myrtle’s Punch House on two separate occasions, and both were completely unforgettable! They have a large chalkboard on the wall next to their bar that tells you all of their wines, drafts, and most importantly, their punches. It’s called«Myrtle’s Punch House» for a reason, after all. So try them! I noticed the last time I went that they had changed their punch selection around. The bartender said they change the punches around every two weeks. Every punch I’ve tried is unique in flavor-which is a good thing. The same woman who owns MOTR, Japps, and Neons is also the owner of Myrtle’s. In my opinion, Myrtle’s Punch House is a better option if you don’t want to be packed in like sardines. There’s plenty of free street parking, and even going there on a Saturday night, my three friends and I were able to find a booth in their Rathskeller. They have live music in the cellar on Friday and Saturday nights! Just know that you won’t be able to hear your friends talk, as the band is pretty loud for such a small area. My only other complaint is they for some reason never answer their phone number that is listed on their website. I tried calling four times when they were open at six, and no answer. Try this place out. Worth your time.

I love Myrtle’s Punch House. It has such an eclectic feel and a variety of patrons. We have been here numerous times before, but this was the launch of their food offerings. It was pretty jammed, as was expected. We weren’t even sure that we could find seats when we walked in. My wife found us three seats while a friend and I ordered some food and a bowl of punch. Service was slower than usually due to the large crowd, but certainly to be expected. We took the punch downstairs while we waited for our food. There were some large groups, so we weren’t able to land a table, but we could at least sit down. Soon after, Molly herself came in and saw that we were without a table. She started about the task of getting us one. She is so awesome. We had two other friends joining us, so we snagged a couple other chairs and waited… and drank. The punches were good as always. Very different flavors in each. The beer selection seems to have grown, which is a plus. The food was really good. They are obviously still working on the food service part and we had a slight faux paux as our food never actually arrived. We mentioned it when we went for another bowl of punch. Once again, Molly herself jumped into action. She quickly had them make us a complimentary offering while waiting for our original order. I expect first night hiccups, and this wasn’t even necessary… but appreciated. The staff was great. Everyone was smiling and friendly even though you know they were probably a little overwhelmed. The lady doing the cooking was fantastic. The cooking area isn’t much bigger than a standard closet, yet she was putting out the food quickly and deliciously. I am not a big crowd person, but I put on my big boy pants for this launch and was glad that I did. I will always be a Molly fan, and this just helped to push me over the top. Try the brisket and the cheeses. They were great!

Great bar off the beaten path of the usual drinking hotspots(OTR, etc). The space is great and welcoming, they have live music on the weekends, and the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. The bartender made a delicious mocktail for our DD, too! I would much rather come here for a weekend drink instead of competing with the crowds in OTR(but maybe that’s just me being old).

Located in the center of the revitalized area of Eastern Walnut Hills is Myrtle’s Punch House. Myrtle’s offers a variety of craft beers, liquors, and wines. But their main draw is the house-made punches. These flavorful punches are served in a single cup or can be made to fill a punch bowl to share with a group. My friends and I went on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. Everyone was happy with the selections of drinks that Myrtle’s offers. They have about a dozen craft beers on tap, a variety of wines, and they featured four different punch varieties. For seating, there are three different areas of the establishment. First is the bar area providing bar stools and several tables along the wall. Also located on the first floor is a lounge area with couches and tables that is separate from the main bar room. Lastly there is an area to sit downstairs with tables and booths that are tucked inside the walls for a more intimate atmosphere. Overall we were very happy with our visit there. The only drawback of being such a popular place, is the crowds. As the night wore on the place filled up pretty quickly so seating became very limited. But the seating turned over pretty quickly as different groups moved in and out. This place is definitely a unique experience and we look forward to our next visit here.

Having been back time and again, I needed to write an update of Myrtle’s after arranging a party at the bar. We had about 30 people during the Happy Hour time, so I worked with Drew, Wellmann Brands’ event coordinator, to reserve the space. We had to email back and forth a few times to get the space coordinated around another party they were hosting, but Drew was responsive, prompt, and super friendly to make sure I was happy with our final plans. We were able to reserve several seating areas in the upstairs lounge area(my favorite section in Myrtle’s!), which was just the right size for our crew. I also appreciated that reservations are free, whether using the lounge or the entire Rathskeller. Bringing a number of folks with us who don’t actually drink(there actually are teetotallers out there, and several of those joining us are in recovery), I was so glad to see that they had hot apple cider on for those who needed a less potent beverage. It made it comfortable for everyone in attendance, whether or not they drink. I am even crazier about Myrtle’s than I was before! Perfect for a small girls night out or a happy hour bash for a large group. The gem of Walnut Hills!

I have to say I really enjoy each of the spots Molly Wellmann has evolved in and around Cincinnati(Japp’s, Neon’s, Myrtle’s, OKBB, etc). They’ve each developed their own feel and flavors and they are like books on my bookshelf that I can reach for depending on my socializing mood. Myrtle’s is one of my favorites as the aesthetic(especially the basement area) really speaks to me. You can see the thought that went into the visual design of this place and I love the almost wine cellar nature of the downstairs which provides an intimacy I like. Finding out that they host music there sometimes only upped my appreciation. I was pulled there Saturday night for Tracy Walker performing in a duo with Adam Sanregret and the entire night was just about perfect. Tracy’s voice and Adam’s musical craftsmanship are not to be missed. I only had one sight concern with this visit. There seemed to be a inconsistency in the amount of wine or spirits poured between the different bartenders. I would like to have known what I was getting with each order and some of the pours I considered heavy and some were far too light. More of a standard there would be appreciated. That said, the cocktails(especially one with a nut kind of edge to the taste) were really above par and the taste profile was very consistent between the bartending staff which is not always an easy feat to achieve. I am a fan of Myrtle’s. It’s my kind of place.

Great spot for drinks! I went for a karaōke night on Sunday and the crowd was great. The upstairs in nice but the downstairs cellar is even more cozy. The punch is very strong and creative recipes. I also felt safe parking a few blocks away and walking there on my own.

I love the idea of a bar primarily focused on punch! They have a rotation of punches that they have on tap. They can sell you a glass or two sizes of bowls. My boyfriend and I have been once or twice by ourselves and split one small; we’ve gone with another couple of friends and the larger one was almost too much punch. They do have a small selection of other liquor(and I think beer?) too if you’re not into the punch. The space is nice, probably great for hosting a large group. The basement level is really cool, they have booths cut into the wall so each booth is like a cozy compartment of the room.

Cool space! We tried the Punch Flight which I definitely recommend for first timers or if you are not familiar with current offerings. It was definitely worth it to try them all to see which ones were our favorites! At the time, we were told some of the surrounding business will deliver food to Myrtle’s. Not sure how long that will last since Myrtle’s may be offering their own food soon. We look forward to returning with friends soon!

Myrtle’s doesn’t have food, so this review is strictly for drinks/atmosphere. I play trivia there on a weekly basis, and if not for that, I probably wouldn’t be a frequent patron. They do not have a great selection for drinks. I realize that the highlight are the punches made in house(which are decent and strong), but as someone with wine allergies, I have to avoid the punches made with wine or sherry, etc. I do have a lot of other things I drink, and though I asked for all of them, none were available. I ended up with a Michelob Ultra, which was fine. Their beer selection tends towards the IPAs and crafts. Most of the staff there are great, but one bartender has a real attitude and acts like she is being put out when we order. I wouldn’t normally comment on behavior, but this has happened multiple days to different people, so it seems to be a habit. I do love the basement area; you feel like you are in a beer cellar or something like that. Cell service is spotty down there because the walls are pretty thick, but I like that because you really get to interact with the people around you. The trivia is a lot of fun too!

Four dollars for one punch of glass is a little steep however the cocktails are really really strong I really like the margarita punch I had with salt in the peach bourbon cocktail they often have on tap however I was not a fan of the Chinese five spice vodka and the one with port was a little lackluster Great atmosphere and service I would definitely be back

I had been wanting to try this place since forever! Well, since I read about it on Unilocal but you get the idea. I’m so glad I finally made it to Myrtle’s. It was a Friday evening around 7:00 or so which proved to be a perfect time. There was a decent amount of people there but not too many, like we expected. The upstairs section is bright and airy with large windows all around. There’s a bar area with your typical bar top and small tables and chairs. On the other side, there’s a lounge area. My friends and I were able to snag a seat on one of the love seats in the lounge area. Near us there was a guy playing the violin as the band began to make their way downstairs for set up. We ordered one of the punch bowls(the name of the punch slips me) which cost us around $ 23. I’m still on the fence about the cost of this, nonetheless, there were three of us sharing so we split the cost. The punch was good, it had a bit of a kick to it but nothing too crazy. I’m super impressed by Myrtle’s and I just love the concept.(Not to mention, they’re located in an adorable area of E. Walnut Hills). There’s no food or anything to distract you from your punch and conversation but you can being food in if you’d like. I’d recommend this place as a prequel to date night or as a pre-game place for a night out with friends.

I was so looking forward to coming to this place after reading all the reviews and well, it seems like I ended up at some other Myrtle’s Punch House! The best of the best of this place was the music and the people. The band(a duet, to be exact) playing live downstairs was so amazing! There was a vocalist/guitarist named Tracy(she sounded a bit like Tracy Chapman, btw) accompanied by double bass/guitar player. They sounded just right, not a bad note coming from their corner and it was exactly the type of music that allows to talk and listen at the same time. The bartenders were quite helpful, but I was particularly charmed by the Security Gentleman, what a friendly nice Man! Now about the interior: what a schizophrenic concept. Some walls are actually nice and tastefully incorporated, whereas a huge chunk of the upper area is painted bright sunny yellow, which reminds me of a children’s book club. Downstairs: even worse! Beautiful stone walls around and suddenly: yellow open corridor to the restrooms, with some hooks for jackets along one side. I hope it just awaits for the door to be installed there! At least it begs for one. When we tried to enjoy the music and our drinks, periodically there was this annoying sound of a hand dryer from the bathroom, which actually sounds also like a flushing toilet. This holds true for both downstairs and upstairs. I start to wonder if this is the definition of Ms. Wellmann’s motto ‘served with impeccable style’… So we had the house punch, something of a Caribbean name was on a weekly special. Despite the cuteness of the glass(mostly filled with ice cubes, btw), it was a syrupy plain and rather uninventive drink. If you want to order a cocktail, though, you have to be either specific with what you feel like drinking or just go with a boring classic, because there is no menu! I find the menu-free concept interesting, but not the best… Ordering a beer was a piece of cake, though. Since there are absolutely no snacks or food there, our neighbours at the table helped themselves to a pizza that had been delivered in a ‘stylish’ box. Coming back to the ‘Served with Impeccable Taste’ line… Was I at some other Myrtle’s Punch House?
