It has changed hands, but the food and ambiance are still solid. I’ve noticed that others have started making the stop before going into Rhinegeist(and why not $ 3 cans before $ 6 pints!). New street parking restriction signs have gone up on Henry and Dunlap probably because so many going to Rhinegeist want to skimp on parking fees. If you’re planning a visit to either, park at Findlay Market’s lots and walk up. Once the streetcar is running in late 2016, you’ll have more options to get to this area easily.

Great place if you are looking for some home cooked bar type food. Tucked away in OTR it might be a little hard to find, but worth looking for. We have stopped before heading over to Rhinegeist or for a Saturday morning breakfast. Burgers are huge as is the breakfast, and the price cannot be beat.

I ducked in here for a bite between meetings downtown. Grabbed breakfast because it was closer to breakfast then lunch. Pretty tasty cheap greasy spoon food. Plus a full service bar to boot! Very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. Give it a try!

The Dunlap is an old-school neighborhood bar that has recently been upgraded and transformed with a good every day food kind of kitchen and improvements to the facility. You can get great burgers and daily specials such as casserole and homemade food. Alongside of local beers such as Rhinegeist which has a brewery one block away. During nice weather the back patio is a great place to relax with friends. This unassuming neighborhood bar with its beer can collection from the 1970s is a great dive bar hang out.

Wonderful diner /bar in the middle of OTR. I had the Patty Melt and french fries. They literally reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking. With an impressive amount of old beer cans on the wall, and a nice current beer list, I may have to stop back after work one day. Service was very friendly!

Have gone here twice since the new ownership change, once for drinks in the evening and once for breakfast. Both were fantastic experiences. They have done a great job of incorporating in some newer features(windows etc) while still leaving the vibe that you are at a local bar with tons of history. Drinks are very well priced, breakfast was fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Definitely worth checking this place out.
