I didn’t plan to get anything from the Pizza Bomba truck, since I had just ate a burger and chips from Café De Wheels, but after seeing a crab rangoon pizza, I had to try it! A coworker of mine was also still hungry, so we decided to split a slice of the crab rangoon and a slice of the baconium. I’m not sure exactly was on each one, as it wasn’t listed on the board, but that didn’t matter. Both were extremely flavorful and delicious. The crab rangoon seemed to have cream cheese, crab, some kind of sauce, and little wonton strips. It was just like eating a crab rangoon, but with more flavor and less grease! The baconium had bacon and some little balls of I don’t know what. Whatever it was, it was delicious too. Maybe I should have asked, but I was lost in the moment. Their crust is just perfect, crispy on the bottom, but still with a bit of chew. The slices were reasonably priced, at $ 3 each too. I plan on hitting up their truck again for sure, and also visiting their new brick & mortar store!

Having sort of recently moved to Cincinnati(and yes, I probably start all of my reviews this way) my family and I had as of yet to find any pizza worth eating. To clarify, we’re on the west side and if there’s some good pizza over here, we have yet to discover it. As a side note, I’d be very curious to know who is keeping LaRosa’s in business… if someone told my that they put their unispired toppings on staight-up cardboard, you could color me unsurprised. However, this isn’t a LaRosa’s review, now is it? So back to the good stuff! We went to the brick and mortar in Covington for dinner last night. The owner was there and he took very good care of us, he told us about the area which we were unfamiliar with and basically just gave us amazing service. Much appreciated. This is a happy place and one I expect to spend plenty of time in. We got the mother clucker, the crab rangoon and the girls shared the crab cake mac and cheese. Their crust is perfect. A bold statement, I know, but I stand behind it. This girl’s eaten a lot of pizza. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and flavorful. See what I’m talking about? Pefect. Anyhow, the mother clucker was very good, but the crab rangoon was call-all-your-friends-they-have-to-try-this-amazing-pizza good! OMG, right up there with CPK’s Pear and Gorgonzola(which was previously my all-time favorite, now I’m not so sure…) Delicious. The girls crab cake mac and cheese was also really tasty, in fact I just finished eating the leftovers for lunch, and guess what? Still great! I can’t really think of a negative critique for this place and can’t wait to go back to try all of there other offerings. I’d love to see some of the other specialty pizzas that they have on their catering menu at the shop in Covington, especially the kimcheeza, that sounds awesome! BTW, in case anyone is wondering(as we often are) they have highchairs :-)

I recently ate at PizzaBomba’s new store in Covington. The menu is long and unique, with lots of choices of appetizers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes. They make the bread in house daily and it is awesome. Everything we tried was delicious. The Crab Rangoon pizza and buffalo gnocchi were both great(although very rich –good for sharing). The spinach ricotta pizza was a hit. Without question, everyone’s favorite was the Devil Knots –big delicious garlic knots with sriracha sauce. I could eat them everyday(which might prove dangerous when they start delivering soon).

I have had the pizza from their truck a few times. It’s always great. Today, I got to eat at their new brick and mortar store on East Fifth in Covington. In addition to the great pizza that made them famous, they have pasta, salads, appetizers, and sandwiches. Not just any sandwiches, amazing meaty, juicy sandwiches on brioche! In addition to the more traditional flavors associated with a pizza place, they have a sandwich called the Bangin’ Elvis that I highly recommend: Thai peanut butter, pepper jelly, and bacon. HEAVEN! Welcome to the neighborhood, Pizza Bomba!

I’m definitely looking forward to trying out more types of pizza here in the future. I came here during the Walnut Hills Street Fest, and grabbed a slice of the crab rangoon pizza. I’ll admit, I was a bit nervous about the translation of crab rangoon to pizza format, but this exceeded my expectations. This was a seriously good slice of pizza, and totally unlike anything I’d ever had before. At $ 3 a slice, the prices are great for sampling the different varieties they have(4 when I was there) and I would have continued to try different pizzas had there not been a multitude of food trucks competing for my short attention span. Also, their sign announced a permanent restaurant location coming soon, so that’s something to look forward to!

These guys have come out to my office on two occasions now and both times their pizza was excellent. The first time around I tried their Buffalo Chicken Pizza, and it was hands down the best Buffalo Chicken Pizza that I have ever had before. The second time around they brought out the Oktoberfest Pizza and that had sauerkraut and sausages and mustard and other stuff… and again it was great. It was like nothing that I have ever tried before on a pizza and I would definitely eat it again. I read today that they are opening a brick and mortar location in Covington, KY and they should be proud to have them.

I was so excited to see the food trucks roll up outside my office tonight. I work 3rd shift and this was a great bonus. I had a slice of cheese pizza which was very tasty, love the crust and the homemade sauce was just right. I also had a slice of the crab rangoon pizza and it was one of the best slices I have had in my life! I loved the spicyness of the cream cheese«sauce» with onions and chives and the crab and cheese on top of the perfect crust was definitely the BOMB! I will be tracking down this truck again, can’t wait to try some of the other varieties! If only they could sit outside my office every 3rd shift…

Mmmmm. Gourmet specialty pizza by the slice. Think of Dewey’s Pizza or Mellow Mushroom. Then think of being able to sample a slice of everything on their menu. That’s PizzaBomba. Pounding the pavement in their extreme pizza wagon, the Bomba team serves up four specialty pies daily, hot, fresh and wood-fired from their truck. Each has fluffy, buttery crust that puts other doughs to shame. Of course, the menu offers traditional cheese or pepperoni, but my tastebuds like adventure. The more toppings, the merrier on my pizza. PizzaBomba’s signature specialty slice is the Kimcheeza: Korean BBQ pork with kimchi, two cheeses and Asian spices. My favorite is their Crab Rangoon pizza, with cream cheese, plentiful chunks of crab meat, sweet chili sauce, topped with mozzarella. With over a dozen different styles of pies, you can experience all the eclectic flavors: Macaroni & Bier Cheese, Reuben, Mac Rib, German Mashed Potato, Buffalo Chicken, Brussel Sprout and more. With each slice being a generous seven inches in diameter, whatever pizza you taste is sure to be da’bomb! Price per slice: $ 3.00 18″ Pie: $ 20.00

I got a slice of the classic cheese which was really good. The crust was nice and thin, and the flavor of the pizza itself was nicely balanced. Decent price too.

I was able to experience this place on their opening night. The staff was great! Very passionate and you can tell they care about the quality of the food and the experience of the diner. The ingredients were imaginative, fresh and delicious. The combinations are excellent. The bread is thin and crispy and has that wonderful cornmeal dusting on the bottom. The sauce is good. Have I mentioned mac and cheese pizza? Holy cow that was great.

OMGOODNESS! AWESOME! I have never really been a fan of eating food from a truck… until they came along. I loved everything about all of the pizza that I tried. I wish that they were closer, You can tell that everything is homemade and made with love and care. I loved it, loved it loved it! I has sausage and pepperoni. Very good. I could tell that the sauce didn’t just come out of jar. It was very well seasoned. I also had the macaroni and cheese pizza. Second time having that type of pizza and this was the best ever. Would go back a hundred times and would recommend to everyone.

I am officially in favor of any new food truck that comes through the city. What’s not to love! Mobile food that comes to you(sort of). How can you not be a fan! PizzaBomba is especially awesome, since they’re Cincy’s first pizza truck AND pretty gosh darn delicious! I’ve had a few slices from them now and each time I love it. I tried the pepperoni which was hot and tasty with some great sauce. Then their Macaroni and Cheese pizza was overloaded with mac and cheese(and m&c explosion if you will.) I can see how that might turn some people off but I loved it! More mac and cheese is never a bad thing. And the slices are giant! Totally worth what you are paying for. I wish there menu was online somewhere so I could check out all the pizzas and show it to people. I’m sure they’re working on it though, they are very new after all. Go on, get yourself a slice, you’ve earned it.

Eating food from a truck makes me feel like such an urban dweller. That’s why I like food trucks. PizzaBomba is a double whammy, combining two things I love: food trucks and pizza!(I really could go off on a tangent about how much I love pizza, but I won’t. I’ll keep it relevant. :-D) I had two slices from this truck: Pepperoni and Macaroni and Cheeze. The pepperoni was standard and delicious, with a sweet and tangy sauce and a touch of spiciness from the pepperoni. The CheezeeMac pizza was pretty good, covered in both mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, but it was a bit overwhelming. The cheese was a bit heavy. Overall, I’d like to pick up another couple of slices from PizzaBomba. You know, when I can catch them.

I’ve yet to find a food truck I don’t like, Pizza Bomba is no different, and a welcome addition to the Cincy food truck fleet. I like the hand tossed crust, it’s not so thin and wimpy that it wilts, but it really supports the weight of the toppings well. They have interesting toppings like the CheezeeMac pizza, and look as if they have a rotating variety of pies. I have to suggest The King Crispy Treat for dessert. Rice Crispies, banana, peanut butter, chocolate, and bacon. Really good!
