Purchased new sofa and recliner. Sales associate greeted us promptly and was very helpful with selections. Giving them 4 stars more for the delivery service. Was provided window for delivery in advance. We were able to track timing during the day. THey arrived when promised. The two gentlemen were very respectful. One of the items was missing hardware, but I was immediately connected with customer service representative to remedy.

NIGHTMARE FROM HELL!!! This has been the worst retail experience in my 65 years. Purchases approx. $ 5000 in furniture April 10 2014. Delivered 3 pieces out of 11 in July. Sofa was damaged when drivers shoved it through my front door and broke one of the legs off. They said they would send new one. Received rest of furniture about 1 week later. In total 8 out of 11 pieces of furniture were damaged and needed to be replaced. I paid for this furniture in full before I finally received it on NOVEMBER 28, 2014!!! They wanted to bring furniture 1 or 2 pieces at a time but agreed to hold it till it all came in. Got constant threats, e-​mails, calls etc. that they were going to charge me storage fees for holding it till it could all be delivered at once. It was paid in full in September and we didn’t receive it ’till November and then they started billing me for a sofa again. Out of the thousands of employees at Macy’s I was able to find only 4 who spoke English when I constantly called customer service and asked for English speaking person to help me. I have finally given up and sent them another check that I don’t owe them and you won’t believe this but just this second they called again wanting their money that I already paid them twice. Of course employee did NOT speak English. THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IN BUSINESS AND HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Have been in contact with BBB and attorney generals office. Stay away if you value your sanity!

I’ll start with the bottom line: if you’re not going to spend a lot of money, don’t expect customer service. Walking into the store, we were not greeted.
We had found a chair we we’re interested in online, and of course we want to see it in person before we purchased it. It’s about a $ 400 item, and we had it in our minds to take advantage of the sale going on this weekend, possibly purchasing it on site/​that day.
Approaching the counter, there were six associates behind it, we asked about the chair we were interested in, and a salesman said he would page for any available associates. I’m sorry, I don’t like to give negative reviews like this, but it sure seemed like all six of the associates were not — seriously, not — doing anything.
After waiting for a couple minutes, no one responded to the page, and we continue to ask questions about the chair. The gentleman who had addressed us told us where the chair was, he made no effort to walk us over to it. After inquiring one more time about the chair, which we did finally see in-​person, we left the store. Very disappointing. We will probably purchase the chair online.
