we stopped in at DeSales corner to sample the pies and were not sorry! I had the empanadas, which were deliscious! Well paired with the chili, which was good, but not up to the quality of the pies. My wife had the savory pocket, which she enjoyed. Our 6 year old daughter was somewhat less impressed with her Greek quiche, but she is very quite exacting. Personally, I liked her’s as well. We also enjoyed the apple pockets we took away with us. On the whole and excelent meal, though service was a bit slow. The only suggestion I would have is that they get a water filter. The tap water taste was disapointing.

My husband loves pies so I was excited to try these for his birthday. I bought a plum pie(Turned out to be red plum). Was not really impressed. The crust was really good but the plums and filling were kind of weird and bland. Am hoping to try again when some better fruit is in season and possible have a better experience. Would not recommend the plum pie. Is a bit pricey as well for a pie, $ 29.

If I am at Findlay Market, I am stopping here. I first experienced O Pie O on Pi Day this year. As a math kid and food lover, it’s my favorite random holiday. I was thrilled when I saw that in honor of 3.14, they put little Pi symbols on each pie. They were possibly even more excited than I was! I had a sample of the lemon(great) and bought a honey vinegar(amazeballs). Since, I’ve also had a strawberry rhubarb in addition to more honey vinegar. I can’t even describe how delicious these pies are. The small ones are $ 5, which is a lot for what is the size of a large muffin. The large ones can run close to $ 30. But, there’s a medium size that will only set you back $ 8. That is, in my opinion, the only one worth buying. The family running this is clearly in love with what they do; check em out!

I haven’t been to this location but I was able to try one of their pies at Revolution Rotisserie. It was O Pie O’s honey and vinegar. It was the best pie I’ve ever eaten! It wasn’t over powering of honey or vinegar which makes me want to suggest a new name for the pie ;) It was custardy and creamy. I’m not a sweets person but if I had a whole pie in front of me I would eat the whole thing! I hope to get some around the holidays! I know these would kill at parties. I look forward to their new location in Walnut Hills to open!

These hand pies are great! We had the apple with rosemary caramel. The rosemary gave the caramel a lovely earthly flavor. The crust is buttery, and the filling is a perfect balance of sweet and tart. One of these pies are quite filling, especially with a scoop of ice cream.

I’m definitely a fan. Anytime I’m at Findlay I will get a sample, or two. I bought a bourbon pecan pie online from them to take to a relative’s place this past Thanksgiving holiday, it was pretty rich. I feel that their prices are a bit steep, which prohibits me from buying even their smallest pies on a regular basis. 4.5 stars for the pie itself, and 3.5 stars for the $ 28 price tag. Yes, yes, I know, it’s labor intensive to make pies, and the ingredients used are only the best. I still will never again pay nearly $ 30 for a pie.

So wonderful! I saw the pie guy at Finley Market. As soon as I saw the crust, I KNEW it was good. Purchased medium Cramel Apple Rosemary pie. The rosemary tasted like it was fresh out of the garden that moment. Tasted the sample of pear with hint of rum. Purchased a large. I purchased Sunday, See you Friday and it’s only Monday. Don’t miss out on the BESTOFTHEBEST!

All around fantastic pies. I have to say that the crust absolutely MAKES these pies. I’ve never had such a delectable buttery flakey crust before. I don’t know how these people do it, but they’ve got a great thing going. Do NOT ever change your crust recipe! I love how O Pie O incorporates interesting flavor combos instead of going with your very traditional pie recipes. Black plum & ginger, Caramel apple & rosemary are a couple that I’ve had that are delicious. The Concord grape pie is one of my favorite O Pie O pies. It has angostura bitters in it, which gives it this really interesting sump thin’ sumpthin’. I tasted a sample of their traditional Pumpkin pie and immediately ordered 2 for thanksgiving. Best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had. You can find their pies at Findlay Market on Sat/Sun and also within Clifton Natural Foods on the weekend as well.

HOLYCOW! O-PIE-O indeed! If you say to yourself«I could really use some pie», go to Findlay and buy one from these gentlemen. We had the plum ginger and the concord grape. While I found the grape a little sweet for me, it was still delicious and I ate a lot of it. The plum ginger was superb! They were out of the apple but, given what we had, I imagine it is just a well-made.

Where do I start? O, the crust… the flaky, buttery, delicious crust. The perfectly baked, crunchy, crispy vehicle for the lovely fillings these artists create. Or the filling, the mouth-watering, unexpected combinations of local ingredients with just the right hints of sweet and savory intermingled. «O Pie O», the cry of extacy and joy.

O, O Pie O, how I love you. It is almost impossible to go past without getting one. The summer brings Strawberry Balsamic goodness and now that fall is here enter Salted Carmel Apple. Yum! Try them all.
