Is the ice cream and atmosphere great? YOUBET. The issue? I checked in(with the Unilocal app) and had a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream. It does not expire until July of this year. Sure, they did not have the dino egg ice cream that day, but they could have honored it with a different flavor perhaps. Customer service is king for me. It is quite rare for me to give such a low rating but the whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth(and not an ice cream taste).

This place rocks. First off, I’m a sucker for nice architecture. The shiny, butterfly-adorned tiles on the walls, i am told, are worth $ 75,000 apiece. That’s right, everything in this parlor is authentic, original architecture. Oh yeah, there’s ice cream, too! I had some of the Blue Moon Cookie Dough and it was amazing. It was soft and creamy, and full of flavor.

A classic ice cram parlor located in the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. It gets its name from the classic Rookwood tiles that adorn its walls. They serve the same ice cream that you’ll find at UDF. It makes for a fun break while you are checking out the museum.

Recently visited this little gem of an ice cream parlor. So happy that Union Terminal still keeps this shop open. I do think it would be nice if the silverware and glassware were a little more authentic of the era that this soda shop was in during its prime, but I understand with a lot of children visiting the shop, it might not be convenient. I also think maybe having parfaits and ice cream floats on the menu would be a little more reminiscent of original ice cream parlors, than just smoothies and soft serve. We visited this shop to actually take photos for a retro photo shoot, & the manager Andrew E. was so super nice, accomodating & professional. I can’t say that for some of the employees that were working in and around UnionTerminal that day.
