Every time I order from Toppers the idea of what I want and what I get are polar opposites. Once in college I had toppers and it was a transcendent experience, though now I think that was due more to the bars we visited beforehand. They have these things called topper sticks and if you call them and ask for their current deals, they usually have a large pizza and sticks for around $ 20 which can feed 3 to 4 people. Topper sticks are large square pizza’s cut into sticks and they come with one of several sides to chose from. They also come with all the grease and tummy aches you can imagine. I love pizza and find that each time we have ordered in the last 2 years, we continue to get slow service, cold pizza delivered without apology and pizza that is sub par at best. I do not recommend Toppers unless you are getting back late night from the bar and want grease on grease and wait for hours on end.

The cheesy bread stix serve as a constant reminder of my awesome college years. Coming home late from the bar and ordering bacon cheesy bread was my life. The melty and gooey cheese dipped in ranch dressing is made for kings. There was not a weekend that passed where someone did not order those delightful cheese bread sticks.

I can’t believe I waited over an hour for this crap. At least Domino’s would have brought me crap in 30 minutes. So, I check into the hotel in Cincinnati, find out it has no room service, and they give me some menus for places that deliver. They give me this menu. Looks like some crazy choices, but I order a thin crust«meat» topper. As they promised, it was over an hour to get it here, but they didn’t promise it would be cold, like it was strapped to the hood of the driver’s car on the way over. Seriously, if you’re in need of food, haven’t eaten all day while flying across the country to get to Cincinnati, do not, under any circumstances, order this crap. I’m being generous. Seriously. Just. Don’t. Do. It.

The delivery took forever! They said 45 minutes to an hour and it took an hour and a half.

very disappointed. Order pizza for my family while staying at a hotel downtown. They never did deliver the pizza. I finally went to bed after 1 hour and 45 minutes of waiting. I tried calling after 1 hour and the automated machine picked up and placed me on hold for 30 minutes. Horrible customer service. My family went to bed hungry.

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I really love their buffalo chicken pizza — the best one on the menu. And I like the whole concept of different topping. Try putting tater tots on your pizza — pretty interesting. The pizza is over-priced. I can’t justify ordering it, but I do anyways(again the buffalo chicken is amazing). When you order online, it automatically tells you it will be an hour. It never changes. However, the actual time it takes to deliver is anything but predictable. I once got it in under half an hour, once it took an hour and a half. But their automated email says time may not be accurate due to how ordering volume or whatever… If you’re going to order, you should keep an eye on their deals — those are best ways to make your order an economically sound decision.

Toppers is known for being drunk food. They have a lot of odd types of pizza(Mac and cheese pizza, there’s one with tater tots on it, etc.), toppers stix which are like cheesy bread, and chicken wings. If it is a Friday or Saturday night during the school year — avoid this place at all costs. It will be filled with drunk impatient college kids and workers who are fed up with it(rightly so). The pizza is just okay. The toppers stix are really good though. Everything just seems greasy to me now because I have had it after a few drinks on many occasions. It’s something that seems like a good idea at the time but you’ll wake up regretting it. If you’re in town and looking for pizza delivery there are ton of other places that will have the quality you’re looking for. However, if you want mac and cheese pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, or one with tater tots on it this is the right place for you. If you’ve never had it I would suggest tying the plain toppers stix(they also have bacon, pepperoni, taco, cinnamon, and bacon chocolate???).

Waited for cheese sticks for over 45min. Told me he «forgot to make them» I might be drunk but seriously? Get your stuff together. Worst service ever.

The pizza is alright. It’s more of a salty than sweet tomatoe sauce. It’s close to campus which is a plus. The price is average and the crust is between thin and thick.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I was a very loyal Toppers customer over the last year after moving downtown to Cincinnati. Recently I made a short move two streets closer to Toppers physical location and somehow that excluded me from their delivery location. It wouldn’t have bothered me so much had the original contact handled the situation so poorly and simply been rude. As upset and angry as I was with the situation, Ethan, the manager on duty at the time handled the situation as best as he was able to given the situation.

Toppers has creative pizza options but no consistency. Sometimes I feel like it is some of the best pizza ever and then other times it falls short. Delivery times are also strenuous and frustrating.

1st: I generally enjoy this pizza. If you’ve been drinking it’s pretty good too. 2nd: I experienced the WORST customer service I have ever had. I called in for a delivery around 7pm. They first told me they deliver to my house. But I heard a guy yell loudly near the phone that they don’t deliver. When i spoke to someone else then, yep you guessed it, they DID deliver… THEN when told the pizza was on its way because I reach just the cut off, I get a call from the manager. About 30 minutes later, she informs me that the guy who told me before they can deliver, wasn’t even on the clock and he was way out of line. She then told me she doesn’t want to «be the asshole» by telling me for A 3rd or 4th time(I’ve lost track) that they will not deliver to me. Apparently, the drivers pick and choose where they deliver. And they didn’t want to deliver to my house. I am so disappointed in the lack of any manners or costumer serivce skill in this establishment. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner of the store.

Wow! After watching the Browns smash the Bengals, we decided to look for somewhere to eat before going back to the hotel. I guess Cincinnati has no night life scene because nothing was open. Nothing. Not a bar, fast food joint or gyro stand. Even the well known«Holy Grail» was locked up. We ended up back in the hotel lobby and ordered Toppers. I know it was an extremely busy Thursday night, but come on. We waited 3 hours! We would have canceled the order but the pizza was paid for already over the phone. The pizza arrived shortly after 3:00am. Weird. They close at 3:30am. Like the earlier review stated, if you’re staying at a hotel avoid this place at all costs. The delivery guy wasn’t friendly and the people working the phones don’t give a yit.

I’m sick at home and finally have felt better enough to risk jamming more pizza than anyone should ever own up to into my body. The problem; I moved from 7th street to W. Clifton Ave, and in that mile I lost my privileges to indulge in Jet’s Pizza. Heartbroken, my brain vaguely started to remember the words of, who I would assume is a friend, tell me about a place near UC called Topper’s Pizza. As I am a pizza snob and hate stream lined pizzas, like Pizza Hut and Domino’s, I was in need of a new place that would serve me more than flavored cardboard and thought I would give this Topper’s place a shot. I was told 40 minutes and waited more around an hour. Other than a little longer wait than expected, I got hot DELICIOUS pizza! I ordered the Cool C.B.R.(Cool Chicken Bacon Ranch) and was delighted to find it had not only chicken, bacon, and ranch, but also fresh mushrooms and diced tomatoes. The cheese was a great quality and there was just enough spices to add a good flavor without getting in the way of the taste of the ingredients. I also ordered their version of CinnaStix and they were very good. Fresh dough, lots of butter, and of course, cinnamon sugar mix. Then again, that combo is difficult to mess up. Be warned, if you don’t want to pay more than $ 7.99 for a large pizza you probably won’t want to order here. You pay for what you get, but please trust me when I say that it’s well worth it. A round of applause for Topper’s Pizza!

I had high hopes for this place as I had heard only good things about it and I am a pizza-holic. I found that it was WAY over rated and overpriced. We paid about $ 25 after tip for a large specialty pizza and a «triple» order of topper sticks. The food was basically mediocre. Not any better than what you will find in the freezer isle at Kroger. The marinara sauce for the cheese sticks was very bland and cold which pretty much ruins the sticks. Also, the portion size was not what I was expecting for a triple order, the individual sticks are very small. We had the equivalent to a supreme pizza, the toppings were fresh but the sauce(again) was so bland it really ruined it.

Late night pizza that caters to the College crowd. The food is mediocre at best, there are few vegetarian options, and delivery is slow especially when it’s late on a Saturday night. The only thing going for this place is the late night hours, however if delivery is what you’re after, order early as they may quote you up to 2 hours for delivery.

I’ve missed Toppers ever since their location in West Lafayette, IN closed. Then I moved to Cincinnati, and we were reunited! I think I just happened to see this place as we were randomly driving around our first full day in town. Only complaint is this location doesn’t have the best parking situation. Our standard order is 2 Myzas(half-pizzas basically) — one Mac ‘N Cheese and one California Topper, then we split them. Delish! Best fast food pizza!

This place opened up a couple years ago and I remember how hyped everyone was about it. I think this was in large part due to a deal they had where you could get a large pizza and a triple order of TopperStix(basically breadsticks arranged in the size of a pizza with a topping on them). That was a great deal but as far as I know, it’s gone up. The Topperstix are quite delicious, and whenever anyone gets them, I go into mooch-mode and«borrow» a few. The pizza is good, but nothing special, and the whole thing would be better if the prizes were still as low as they once were. Overall, it’s a good, above average pizza place.

I actually enjoyed this pizza — both thin and regular crust — a lot. Online ordering is always a plus. I hate the phone, but I couldn’t online order here. The guy was really awkward to talk to and I really thought there was no way my pizza would be correct as he seemed confused about life in general. When we got there, the pizza was hot, correct, and ready for us. We took it home. We ordered topperstix, a thin crust pizza with black olives, a potato topper, and the mac n cheese pizzas(these were different days, but both experiences in store were the same, so I will talk like they are the same.) The thin crust pizza was good — not my favorite but definitely up there. Way better than other national chains for sure. Black olives tasted good, and that was good right away. The topperstix are delicious — they are really really cheesy. They must be terrible for you, but boy do they hit the spot. The potato topper and mac n cheese pizza were the stars here — the crust was fluffy, thick and delicious, and the toppings were oh-so-good. This is food for a bad day when you really just wanna eat. Bah. This is a good pizza place — it’s not AMAZING, but it’s damn good.

I just had Toppers pizza for the third time. Is the best pizza I have ever had? Is it gourmet? Authentic? Nope, but it is quick(never more than 15 – 20 minutes for our carry out), pretty consistent, and the pizza possibilities are immense. About those selections– they really are pretty impressive. They have 5 sizes of pie(from a personal to a party size), three crust styles(thin, hand-tossed & thick), and over 35 toppings to pick from. They also have a pretty good selection of specialty pizzas. The variety makes it pretty easy to find something that everyone likes, and if you bore easily, it also means you can experiment with new combinations. So far, we’ve had a couple specialty pizzas, including the«Mac N Cheese» that my kids loved and the«Old School Sausage & Pepperoni» that has become a favorite of my husband and I. I can’t attest to the kids’ pie, but I really enjoyed the spice in the«Old School» sausage and the chunks of Roma tomatoes on ours. We’ve also had the Original Topperstix, their version of a cheesy breadstick, which have noticeable garlic flavor and are loaded with bubbly cheese. In true Toppers fashion, they even have 10 different dipping sauces for you to dunk them in! This weekend, we had family in town, so we ordered a few custom pies to accommodate all taste buds. My dad raved about his pizza, which was loaded with standard veggies like onions, peppers, and black olives, along with a porky trio of ham, sausage, and pepperoni. Just visually, it did look pretty good. My husband and I didn’t fair quite as well this time. We got a pretty standard pepperoni and cheese pie, with the«regular» pepperoni(they have three varieties to pick from). Unlike the«Old School Pepperoni» we had tried before, these ones were a bit like biting into chewy, warm plastic. They even kind of stuck to your teeth. Pretty gross. Lesson learned, and we’ll stick to the«Old School» option from now on. The Toppers menu also has a range of other things– quesadillas, grinders, and wings. I am looking forward to trying some of the rest of the menu.
