We tried this place for the first time tonight and it will be our new«go to» for local Vietnamese. The food was delicious, the produce was very fresh. Also the service was good with a polite and smiling man that helped us. On top of all that, the bill was very inexpensive. Highly recommend!!!

One night it was after 9:30pm and my daughter and I were starving and she was craving Vietnamese food. She found that Phở Viet was close by us and that they were open until 10:00pm. Upon arrival(about 9:45pm) we arrived expecting to be rushed(as we have been at other restaurants upon arriving close to closing time: namely Raku in Rocklin)! Anyway, we were not rushed at all and we, along with several other tables lingered well after 10:30pm’. The food was spectacular. It was the best Vietnamese food we have ever had with the exception of the foil wrapped chicken which we shall discuss later. The portions were huge and the prices very affordable. We ordered the following: *Chicken Fried Rice: Holy Crap, the BEST fried rice I have had ANYWHERE. The flavor was amazing! The chicken was in nice big tasty pieces too and the portion was huge. I couldn’t stop eating it. *Charbroiled Chicken over Vermicelli: Amazing, just amazing, The meat was perfectly charbroiled, the veggies fresh, the vermicelli perfect, and the dressing delicious! Huge portion as well. *Fresh Rolls with Shrimp and Pork: Amazing as well and my request to make one of each rather than mixing the two was easily granted(I don’t eat seafood but my daughter does). The peanut sauce that accompanied them was outstanding. I have had many such sauces at other places and this was one of the best. *Foil Wrapped Chicken: Very good flavor but the chicken was tough and difficult to chew. I told the waiter this(I also told him everything else was amazing) and he apologized and took it off my bill without question. I suggested perhaps it had been over cooked. My daughter had no complaints with her piece. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

The phở is really good here and the service is also good. Tried the vermicelli once and wasn’t crazy about it actually it was ok I’ve had better. The phở is what I go here for the most.

Phở Viet is great. It’s a bit of a hole in the wall and the interior could use some help(redecorating) but that’s not why I come here. #1. Their menu is enormous. I mean, you can get almost anything under the sun, be it either Vietnamese OR Chinese #2. Everything tastes great, and is priced pretty affordably. #3. The guy whom works the register /seats you is a really nice person and is always patient, friendly, and accommodating . #4. Dishes are LARGE, and not skimpy! We order from Phở Viet at least once a month, and it’s been a pleasurable experience. I recommend them for a quick lunch or dinner out, but nothing fancy!

Not impressed. Sweet and sour soup taste funny. The phở is okay and the chow fun was dry. Will not return.

My favorite place for Vietnamese food, EVER. The customer service is outstanding, the food is to die for and just an overall great experience. My husband and I always get Thai teas, the salt and pepper wings(HIGHLY recommend) and the wonton soup with rice noodles. The amount of food you get at the price you pay makes this place worth keeping coming back for more. I tell all my friends about this place and they are instantly hooked. Thank you Phở Viet!

I personally thought it tasted like any other phở place I’ve had. The soup and appetizers were good but there was nothing that really stood out to me. The service was good they were friendly and attentive. We ordered bun bo hue, beef phở with flank and rare steak, banh mi chicken sandwiches, and a vermicelli shrimp bowl. My favorite was their sandwiches. Compared to other places they had a bigger portion which I loved! It also tasted amazing! Another favorite of mine there was their taro shake it was the right sweetness and consistency not to sweet and not too bland which I really liked! Overall it was a good experience 3÷2÷16 It wasn’t that busy today but yet we are waiting super long for one bun bo hue and one sandwich

Very good value and delicious food. The server was prompt and we got our food quickly. They serve Chinese as well as Vietnamese cuisine. I tried a Vietnamese style rice plate and it was very good. I’m not sure how well they make Chinese food because our group did not order anything from the Chinese selections. But the M6 rice plate was really delicious, the bbq pork was flavorful and I liked the egg cake as well. This place would be my regular go to restaurant if I didn’t live so far out from here.

After two visits in a row, I’m a huge fan for this Vietnamese restaurant located at Citrus Heights neighborhood! Phở Viet has it all creating some great, authentic Vietnamese cuisines from Phở to elegant rice plates! The atmosphere is quite comforting in here as I welcomed. The concept is quite average despite the décor although it didn’t slowed down this time cause this place is very smoothly and speedy! The employees are doing a great job in here for making the customers like me an amazing service! No cons at all! Now onto the entrée! On 11/27/2015, for my first visit, I ordered the Phở Tai. So far, that Phở Tai tasted very good! The beef broth is flavorful and superb! The rare steak cooked very well as it continues to boil hot! Not a bad meal at all! For my second visit, on ½/2016, I returned to Phở Viet to ordered an another Phở called the«Phở Ga» also known as Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup. As I ate it, it tasted outstanding! The chicken broth tasted remarkable as I can feel the flavors of it! Very balanced and appetizing! The chicken cooked very well and eatable, so I can eat it entirely especially the Vermicelli noodles too! Simply a delicious dinner meal! There’s tons of parking available, so take an advantage to park early as you can before the doors open! In the end, Phở Viet is the coolest Vietnamese restaurant that I’ve ever visited twice right in the Citrus Heights neighborhood! Perfect for friends and family gatherings! A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

Love the food here! Extra large phở feeds 2 – 3 perfectly for $ 9…which usually isn’t enough at most other places. I wish they would offer a seafood phở though. Unfortunately, I had to take off a star for the disgusting bathrooms. Toilets looked plugged, unflushed and no soap. Definitely looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a while.

With great tasting soups, appetizers, and even banh mi, its so easy to forget about the endless options in south sac’s little Saigon when you’ve tried Phở Viet. Ive recently moved to the area and this place has only disappointed me once.(note to self: don’t get the chow fun.) They serve both Vietnamese and Chinese dishes which typically can be a hit or miss when you dine in places like these but i’d say its been more hits than misses here. Their banh mi is yummy. Its even yummier when you can use your Unilocal app to order a banh mi so by the time you arrive, its ready. You can’t go wrong with the grilled pork aka thit nuong. Although I’ve had better phở, this place will suffice since its close to home and I can conveniently order through the Unilocal app!

We have been a couple of times before, and always ordered the same phở soup it is great, however tonight we tried all new appetizers the picture is mini Vietnamese pancakes, light and crunchy, we also had the fried chicken wings with fish sauce and grilled pork spring rolls. We loved all three. Not the best location, but the food is wonderful.

Been feeling a bit under the weather the last few days so Phở has been my go to food. This was my first time here and I was pretty excited to try it out given all the great reviews on Unilocal. I ordered chicken phở which came wt all the normal ingredients but they gave me extra jalapeños and basil! It was very flavorful and just what I needed. My youngest son ordered orange chicken and my oldest ordered broccoli & beef as well as spring rolls. Anyone that knows my boys also knows they can both put away a pizza or two in one sitting. The portion size of each meal was quite large and both boys had left overs which is unheard of. They both enjoyed their meals and asked when will we be going again. The wait for the food was longer than expected but we’ll worth it. The prices were very reasonable, our meal totalled $ 32. Plus tip. We will definitely go again & again. My only time is to order by phone ahead of time to reduce the wait time.

My family probably goes here every week, mostly because it is the closest(distance wise) authentic Vietnamese restaurant in north Sacramento. Every other Vietnamese restaurant is inevitably near Little Saigon in south Sacramento. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming feel when you first enter. It has a lot of space and large round tables so you can bring a large party to come and enjoy a family dinner. There are two TVs always showcasing Food Network and/or sports. The waiting staffs are all friendly and hard-working people. It was natural for my family to befriend with the people here. My parents love ordering the bun bo hue and the phở here. I personally like to order an appetizer called banh khot. If you ever had the Vietnamese pancakes banh xeo, these are basically the mini versions of it, except there is only shrimp and no meat(and is a bit more oily). I find it to be more filling and crispier than the larger pancake. The mini size also makes it easy to wrap it up in the giant lettuce leaflets they provide. The flavor is made to perfection when dipped in diluted fish sauce! The dishes I didn’t like as much here are the ca kho to(caramelized fish) and canh chua(«tomato soup») here. The fish is way too salty. They could definitely make the sauce sweeter. Meanwhile, the soup is way too sour for its own good. These are simple modifications so maybe I’ll drop a few hints next time I visit so they improve on this. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, you would probably like to order in the stir fry section where they use tofu instead of meat in the dishes. The only downside is that these are all basic dishes and don’t taste too phenomenal. Overall, this is a a reliable restaurant for anyone craving Vietnamese cuisine. I know you love the nuoc mam ;)

First time eating here with my two cousins. This is my favorite by far in the area! Never knew this one was by American River College also. It’s a good 6 – 8 min drive from the school. I was tired of going to the one that’s on Madison. Looked up another Vietnamese place and this one popped up and wanted to try! Best decision ever ! :) I got the C9, which is Tofu over the vermicelli noodles, salt & pepper chicken(which you must get, I love it!) and the cream cheese wontons are pretty good! The food quality is definitely better than most places I’ve tried in that area. I was happy with everything. You get a good portion size for a good price. The service is friendly but a bit slow. Definitely going to go back for the chicken wings though! I would probably order 3 – 4 orders of it and I’ll be all good, haha.

Photastic. Ok that’s not a word, but if you’ve had phở here before you know what I’m talking about. Food here is worth driving for. Yep. That good. Service is pretty decent(actually great if you compare it to other Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants). Depending on my mood I get either the C6 vermicelli bowl with bbq pork or the Phở Ga(chicken noodle soup that blows your mind). The phở here is so delicious that if someone I care about is sick… this is what I bring them. It’s never failed. Love ordering takeout from here too because it’s always fast, correct, and piping hot. If they ever renumber the menu I’m in trouble ;)

First time love! We were brought here one evening and introduced to us for the first time by family friends and fellow Unilocalers. This was the first time I’ve eaten Vietnamese food here in the Sacramento area. The first time was in Mountain View in the mid 1990’s. I must say it was a good first time dining experience here. Food came in big portions! While I was craving for some phở that evening, I ended up having a different meal which caught my eye under the Charbroiled Meat Over Rice section, the Pork Chops over Rice plate($ 7.95). Drooling… it was sooo good! For appetizers we tried the Fried Cream Cheese Wonton(8 Pcs) for $ 5.75 and these are nice size wontons and the Salted Pepper Chicken Wings($ 6.95). Everything was so tasty, so good and especially filling. The price was definitely on the affordable side… everything on their menu was less than $ 10! So many choices on their menu which I’d like to try a different meal each visit. Just the drinks section alone they offer almost 20 kinds of beverages aside from your regular soda including coffee, lemonade, Soda with Egg Yolk and Milk, Young Coconut Juice, and Red Bean Drink. They also offer smoothies like Honeydew Shake, Pineapple, Taro Shakes among ten types of flavors. They offer specialties in sections: Seafood Stir Fried, Duck Stir Fried, Vegetables Stir Fried, Chow Fun or Chow Mein, Pork Stir Fried, Beef Stir Fried, Chicken Stir Fried, Fried Rice, Vietnamese Clay Pot, and plenty more. The variety is endless. The restaurant was clean and has a flat screen TV in the middle section. Service was great! The servers were friendly and attentive to our table, always making sure our glasses of water were filled. Wish this place was closer to us in Roseville… I’d like to be a regular here. Will definitely come back for a second, third, fourth… etc try! :)
