Stopped for a quick lunch while out doing errands. Parking lot was full but was not that busy inside. Had the rare steak phở and the salt and pepper wings. As usual the phở is fantastic. I had never tried the salt and pepper wings before. The coating looked like a heavy cornmeal. It wasn’t either. I think they marinated the wings because they were very flavorful and juicy. Great flavor and crunch. If you like wings give them a try. When I first walked in I was greeted and seated promptly. My order was taken right away. But then… It took longer than it should have to get me food. After trying the wings I asked for peanut sauce, it never came. Before leaving I needed to wash up. Before even entering the restroom I could smell sewer gases. When I entered the restroom the smell grew stronger. I proceeded to wash my hands only to find the soap dispenser empty. How are the employees able to wash their hand without soap. Very poor experience! It used to be better.

Love this place. Comfort food for my soul. I always order the charbroiled pork bbq either over rice or cold noodles. Delicious every time. Yes service is hit or miss but the food makes up for it. Strawberry shakes are divine. No other Vietnamese restaurant makes shakes the same way. I’ve since moved out to Roseville area and while there are a number of Vietnamese restaurants around, no one compares.

This is an okay place, the phở is not so good, but the fried rice I love! And the Peking meat is good. It’s not always my first choice to come here but I do if I want some! The workers are Nice but not attentive. The dining area is nice and decent but kinda dirty and the bathroom is dirty looking!!!

The food is not great. The place is nice. Lol it seems like the consumers love going here from what I see when I go here. I have had better. Prices are decent.

This place looked like a hit or miss from the reviews but after driving 35 min to be rejected by Phở Viet down the street, we were glad we ended up at this Vietnamese restaurant instead because the food tasted out of this world! The service was fast and kind. The atmosphere was very uplifting. We ordered the large Chicken Phở and two #51’s(one pork, one chicken). My boyfriend and I were very satisfied and full with tons of left overs. The only reason I knocked off a star is because they really don’t give you a lot of meat in your soup or entrée, it was kind of disappointing. Overall, it still tasted amazing and I will definitely be coming back here often, especially since I go to ARC and the food is inexpensive for a college student, our large soup and 2 meals only came to $ 25.

Food is great, BUT there are so many BUTS that it might not be worth it in the end. Have visited this place MANY times, almost always the waiter forgets something and then blames me and says I did not order it, or when I called once and said I want TWO orders of fried rice, came to only see once ready and had to wait 25 more min and they did not apologize and once again blamed me that I only ordered one. TERRIBLESERVICE! Never smile, never say thank you, or sorry when they f*k up. * the worst part– ordered some vegetarian dish once and the cook decided to put pork in there(or maybe the waiter did not communicate, when I specifically triple checked it has no meat) anyways, this place will make a vegetarian eat meat :) it’s that horrible haha.

Rude waitress. I usually order the beef stew Phở. About 2 years ago it was wonderful. Carrots, Bok Choy, egg noodles and lean beef. Now the last few times no carrots and the beef was full of fat. I complained to the waitress and she was very rude. She said, well that’s how it is. I showed her a picture of how they use to make it and she denied they ever made it that way.

We have had better. Food was not the best. Poor customer service. Bathroom was nasty. Restaurant stinks. We came here at the last minute and will not be coming back.

This is our go to restaurant when we want phở late or don’t want to go all the way to north highlands or south Sacramento. I’m giving this place 5 stars because I’ve been coming here for years & have come to know the staff. Most of them have even memorized what we order :) The phở is always great & I love that they use dark meat(chicken) instead of white(I think dark meat is juicier) & that when I ask to add tripe that they add a lot! They’re egg rolls are delicious & I love the sauce that comes w/it & love the fact that’s not the usual red sweet & sour sauce. I haven’t really ordered anything else besides phở, egg rolls, spring rolls & shrimp, but they were all great & I always leave full & satisfied! The prices are low(never had a tab over $ 35) & they’re always quick to get our order & quick to give us our food! It does usually get busier on cold nights & I see others get frustrated by this, but they always seem to make sure that we’re taken care of & let us know if it’s gonna take a little longer for our food to come out!

Ordered #9 — my phở noodles were not fresh at all and the flank steak was SOOO fatty it was unappetizing. The broth had decent flavor so I enjoyed that– but immediately after my mother and I left we felt soo sick. Also– if you do come here I recommend using a restroom before– the bathrooms are fowl! Two stars because the broth was decent & they do serve generous portions.

Came here a few times but after today wouldn’t come back here because i ordered a meal and it didn’t taste good, i barely ate anything just a few sips. Instead of asking to take it off my bill all together, I offered to pay 50% because it was obviously made but I didn’t eat it. So lady said if I don’t like it not to order it next time and if she gave a discount she would go out of business because everyone would do the same. Okay so I paid 100% and left hungry … yehhh not coming back here. Oh and prices aren’t cheap either it was over $ 15+

This was a last minute decision to come here since Essy’s doesn’t open til noon and I couldn’t wait 40+ minutes. I also made the mistake of not reading my Unilocal friends’ Douglas and Micki’s reviews before walking in. It’s beyond two years since their reviews and things are the same if not worse! Quite possibly the worst Vietnamese food I’ve ever had and poor customer service to boot! Old burnt speckles all over the shrimp and meat. Outdated and disgusting bathrooms that remind me of the ones in SF Chinatown. Dirty! Dirty! Dirty! Don’t go!

My hubby and I come here enough that I think it’s about time to write about how amazing these guys are! They have always been there for me when I was sick, after work dinners, or just for my Phở/vermicelli cravings. We usually stick with same thing, the #1(combination) or #13(beef ball). The broth is bomb. I usually don’t add any sriacha or hoisin sauce it’s so good. Also, like other Phở places I’ve been… a small/large/extra large doesn’t mean more broth here, they actually put more broth, noodles, and meat as well. :) We also love the pork and shrimp spring rolls. Best I’ve ever had! Eggrolls are the bees knees. Perfectly crisp and loads of filling. I wish they had a vermicelli dish with only eggrolls and I’d be in heaven. Lol. Vermicelli dishes are huge! I usually get the #56 with pork. It also comes with my heavenly eggrolls, fish cakes and grilled shrimp. I’m always full and satisfied after I finish one of these bowls. Their combination fried rice is to die for, they kicked it up a knotch by adding lap cheong to it. My fav! Perfectly distributed with meats and veggies, I hate green onions, but they are spectacular in the fried rice. Durian and taro shakes are my favorites here, perfect amounts of whipped topping on top and not too thick. I have a new found discovery for their lemon iced tea. Not too acidic, and not too sweet. I thought the idea of putting whole sugar crystals at the bottom of the drink amazing and a nice touch. I wanted more! The only downside to this place is it’s usually busy, so don’t expect the servers to pay much attention to you. They are fast, food comes out fast, and friendly. :) I love this place!

Came here with my nieces on Sunday for lunch. This is one of my Go to spot for Phở! Ordered some fried eggrolls, Phở, and seafood egg noodle soup. The girls shared the XL bowl of Phở #16. It’s the house special which has all assortment meats in there. The Menu does list what’s in the soup. The kids loved the eggrolls, but I guess anything fried is always good. I ordered the Seafood egg noodle for myself. One of my favorites. It has chicken, pork rinds bits, bbq pork, imitation crab, shrimp, squid, and a fried wonton in it. We must’ve been hungry because there was no leftovers!

I came here for dinner on a Thursday night with my cousin after seeing that Noble Vegetarian was closed for Chinese New Year. After we were seated by the hostess and I started to look through my menu, I noticed that the menu itself looked very worn out and needed to be changed. While they did have a vegetarian section of the menu, they didn’t list anything in that section that I normally order at a Vietnamese restaurant, such as vegetarian phở, tofu spring rolls, or vermicelli with veggie egg rolls/tofu. There also was a few other things that appeared off the vegetarian menu, so it was rather inconsistent what could be made vegetarian or not. I ended up asking if they could make tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce even though it wasn’t listed on the menu. While they were accommodating of my request, it would of been nice if they were already listed on there. I also ordered the Tofu Fried Rice which was on the menu, but not in the vegetarian section. The tofu spring rolls tasted average and the peanut sauce was rather bland as well and not very thick. The Tofu Fried Rice was also unremarkable, but the portion size was large and it tasted fine when I doused it in hot sauce. The service was aloof and our server just straight up disappeared for long stretches at a time. When I went to the bathroom, I thought it was just barely acceptable and that it needed both an upgrade and to be better cleaned. Since the food was average and the service and atmosphere below average, I can’t see myself going back unless substantial changes are made.

We were craving some deep fried egg rolls and hoa viet has the best ones! We don’t have any good viet places in natomas… We have wayside but really??? That place sucks!!! This Hoa viet isn’t in the nicest area but the food is pretty good! It has a decent amount of parking BUT if you have a lowered ride like mine, you can’t park in the lot because it has a nasty steep curb!!! I had to park on the street because my car would scrap!!! The seating area is pretty large and it also has a bar area as well! Also, this place opens real late, especially on weekends(I believe 2 or 3 am). The service is great! They are efficiently fast and your food comes out pretty quick! We ordered 15 egg rolls for an app! They are crispy on the outside and so tasty on the inside! They came out sizzling hot… Right out of the frier!!! I then had the duck egg noodle soup! It was good… There was a lot of duck… more than expected… The noodles were soft and the broth was tasty! My lady had the beef stew egg noodle soup and she said it was good! She only wished there was more meat and less fat. Lastly, I had a great strawberry smoothie with boba! Okay, so i heard some things about the bathroom but I didn’t go in and probably good that I didn’t! Asian places bathrooms can be pretty nasty!!! Would we come back… Probably… When we are in the area!!! But not going to use the bathroom…
