This is our go-to spot for local American dining. For lunch I recommend the red burger and dinner I recommend the strip steak. The staff is attentive and the glass and bread basket was always full.

Excellent place the food was great. The waiter Arturo was the best. Came here for lunch would definitely recommend. No need to play golf just come and enjoy the view …

Wow I can’t believe the attitude we were given by the hostess or whatever she is. The black girl should not be in the customer service field at all. She was shit face all night because of seating changes in an empty restaurant. On to the food, seafood pasta was good but skimp. For a $ 30 pasta dish, at least give me some more noodles. Only pluses for this place is the outside area. Yes it’s beautiful but it didn’t make up for the shitty service and average food.

Nice surprise of a nice restaurant in this neighborhood. The steak was great, and the seafood was perfect! The only thing is that service is slow and the servers seem to forget about stuff like we had to wait a long time for a simple sauce. Other than the slow and somewhat incompetent service, the food is great.

Pretty bad service! Super slow and there wasn’t very many people in the restaurant.

for a restaurant that offers entrees that go up to $ 46 dollars they don’t live up to the hype. The food and sauces were mediocre. Lobster Bisque was extremely salty. The waiter did not bother to suggest any wines or anything on the menu. The overall experience was terrible.

Having dinner outside with a great golf course view. Everything is great, band and music, wine and food, environment and service… One of my favourite in the region.

Had a lovely Valentines day dinner we ordered the shrimp cocktail and sashimi for appetizers. The sashimi was chilled perfectly and very fresh. My hubby ordered the prime rib and it was delicious. The Chilean sea bass was Devine and my dirty martinis were dirty lol. I would definitely come back and refer this place for anyone looking for a romantic evening out w the s/o. Great views of the valley below.

I had my birthday here couple years ago. Since then I’ve been coming here for mainly drinks, the view, never ending conversations with friends, and food of course! My dad also teaches me how to hit balls in the driving range of Pacific Palms.

I have been here a couple of times. The most recent was on New Years Eve for Dinner. The four course meal was excellent and the complimentary champagne was a great touch. The dessert was definitely the grand finale and was so beautiful that you did not want to eat it and to top it off it was all edible and delicious. The grounds outdoors are beautiful with postcard picture views. They also have a fire pit that people gather around. I felt that $ 100 p.p. was pricey and maybe $ 50 p.p. would have been a fair price. I’m glad I was able to dine here and experience it for a special event.

I went to RED on Christmas Eve for a gathering since it’s been a long time since the group got together for some fine dining. I recall RED was good the last time I had it so I recommend RED again. Boy was I wrong!!! I was so embarrassed I couldn’t even call this fine dining. It was Christmas Eve so it was not busy besides the hotel guests, but service was okay. The food though, horrible!!! Let’s put it this way, Black Angus and Outback sounds like a better choice. My «prime rib special» was extremely tough to chew. The calamari we got was extremely salty. For every piece I ate I had to down a glass of Arnold Palmer. Other items such as the fish has strong smell, the lobster bisque was like more of orange chowder, and the strip steak was like Outback but double the price. It may be that the good chef was off on holiday, but would definitely not go back. Not worth the money for what you get in return.

Horrible service! We were there celebrating a friends birthday so we took up half the bar. On the other side sat some older men. They only had one bartender and the wait for one drink was too long! He spent more time with them talking and when we finally did get to order drinks he took his time making them.

First of all, I don’t usually comment on hotel restaurants for obvious reasons. I’m hear for a two day conference. I sit at the bar and the guy next to me raves about the New Zealand lamb. I am extremely picky about lamb and would have normally passed. However, I am so happy I didn’t. Quite honestly, it’s the best lamb I’ve had in LA county that I can remember! Dessert was pretty awesome too. In the end, don’t pass this up!

Red was a real treat and welcomed surprise meal stop after 18 holes on the Ike. The four of us were going in different directions after golf and we wanted something convenient. Red is nestled adjacent to the golf course and the meeting center complex. I am not sure I would drive out of my way to go there but I certainly would stay and eat there again if I was playing golf or attending a meeting at Pacific Palms. The lunch menu is loaded with some great choices. I was famished having skipped breakfast and the Red Special burger jumped off the pages at me. I loved this burger! Umami who? The Habit, what? The Counter, huh? Smash, excuse me? This stands with the best of them and it was cooked to perfection. RED Special Burger Candied Spiced Bacon, Sriracha Aioli, Aged Cheddar Cheese, Tomato, Mixed Greens and Crispy Onions on Brioche Bun choice of Fruit or French fries Most Deli’s could learn a thing or two and serve something this well put together. Turkey Club Sandwich Bacon, Tomato, Avocado, Lettuce, and Herb Mayonnaise on Sourdough Bread, choice of Fruit or French fries I am reluctant to go 5 stars just for the lunch but this was a strong 4 star plus performance from Red. Service was fast and friendly too, I would absolutely dine here again and would be glad to do so.

It’s been an entire year since my last visit– and there have been some drastic changes. ALLPOSITIVEONESOFCOURSE! The staff at Red Restaurant and Bar never ceases to me. But they really went out of their way for my mother’s 65th birthday. I called ahead of time to prepare properly and to see what their guidelines were as far as décor. Mac answered the phone and kindly suggested I come in ahead of time to see what kind of decorations I was referring to. Upon arriving– he greeted me with a gigantic smile and firm handshake. Helped me with my balloons and personally walked me to the table where we were going to be seated. He approved of the décor and allowed me to display the banner against the window. I made sure to bring weak adhesive scotch tape to make sure that no residue was left on the window. Mac even helped me tie down the balloons on the chairs and assisted me with all the things I had to carry. When my mom and pop finally got to the restaurant– they were thrilled! It nearly brought my mother to tears to see her personal décor at a fine-dining restaurant that she’s never been to before. The window view was perfect and complimented the banner and balloons perfectly. Josh was our server and when he got to the table he instantly greeted my mother«Happy Birthday!» He made the best suggestions(poke and carnitas spring rolls) and was super accommodating to my mothers seed/nut allergy. Josh was patient and kind; he really made our dining experience memorable. Our dishes were: the scampi pasta(savory, delicious, and hearty sized shrimp), the tuna poke(yummy and refreshing), the carnitas spring rolls(nice egg roll/perfectly seasoned carnitas– the guacamole was spectacular), and the basil fish(perfectly sauteed). George, the sous chef has major and impressive cooking skills. He was even nice enough to greet the table and wish my mom happy birthday! This gave us the opportunity to thank and compliment him. Thank you Mac, Josh, George, and the un-named bartender from this afternoon. YOUREALLYMADEMYMOM’S 65THSPECIAL. We appreciate it so much.

Let’s start with the positives =) Beautiful view when eating on the outdoor, uncovered patio. Had lunch here on a weekday and it was bustling with other business folks doing lunch as well as retirement-age folks having their mid-day meal =D Lunch was around 1.5 hours but after our food arrived, our server disappeared. Was he playing golf with Bubba? Our water cups were empty but have no fear! There is a pond nearby! It took a while but I flagged the busser for our check and then took more time to get the final check. For a weekday lunch, they were really busy on the patio and surprised they didn’t have more help. At least we got our food and I’m sorry to the other diners there that day who were probably really hungry, wanting to order. Come, join me at the pond. We’ll fish for koi. The food was not bad– could easily be summed up as Denny’s meets country club. Would I come here for dinner? Yes, the pond water is delicious.

Short and sweet: Come here for the drinks and the outdoor atmosphere. But make sure you come on a warm night. Been here three times in the last week, so I can admit to being a fair judge now of the quality of food and service. The Good: Drinks are spectacular. Finally, FINALLY found a place that had the apple martini just as good as the legendary martini bar Lola’s in West Hollywood.(Hence the repeat business). Great view of the San Gabriel Valley. Bar members are fun and very good mix masters of alchoholic magic. Hurricane’s, Boiler makers… everything tasted good. Stand around long enough outside and the local raccoons will come and say hi, and want to smoke a cigar and have a drink with you. The Bad: The restaurant made it sound like they were busier than they actually where when I called to make reservations. The staff, from top to bottom, needs to get out and go to an actual high end restaurant to see what the level of quality and service they are TRYINGHARD to duplicate. Don’t get me wrong, these are not incompetent people, nor arrogant, like other places I have been too. I could actually be friends with them, they are that friendly. It’s just got that feel of «believing their own hype for so long» that they forget to constantly keep up their high standards. Wait staff, greeters, service clean up staff… everyone is «coast» mode. You can see it in their eyes. And they forget little things, minor things(oops, the ice water! Ooops, the towel! Sorry, we will come back to turn on the heater), but when everyone in the staff does it, it adds up to management not doing their best to make sure that things are done correctly«the first time/every time». It’s on the edge of being a good place to dine to something very very bad. The food: Edible, but not exciting. I love my veggies and my steaks, so when the menu says that they have the steak just the way I like it with the right ingredients, or the sea bass is fresh, or the foie gras is on the menu, I expect really good food. It’s not bad, but it was VERY bland. Food portions are small. The Ugly: How long does it take to get our bill? Three times we’ve waited for service staff for over 10 minutes — from the time the charge card was handed to the time we got it processed and signed. I would like that half-hour of my life back.

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was a bit disappointing. Service was great; was seated quickly, server was nice and came when we needed her. But I think the food is over priced. I ordered a basil fish(dish with the rice pictured) and my husband got the Caesar salad with steak and both were $ 20 each. Let’s start with the bread, it was hard. I think they burned it but wasn’t sure if that’s how it’s suppose to be. Now the main dish, the basil fish was very bland and it was only tasteful when I put sarachi sauce with it. Honestly if the food is good you shouldn’t need any sauce. Also the fish was a bit oily for my taste buds. My husband’s salad was normal but not worth the price we paid. We got a crème brûlée for free courtesy of Unilocal for checking in and although it was small it was the best part of dinner. Would we go back, probably not. Hopefully the good you get is better.

One of 2 restaurants located inside the Pacific Palm Resort. It is located on the bottom floor/garden level next to the spa. The bar area was pretty packed when I stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday night. The bar top is pretty cool because it’s lighted up blue. There’s a billiard /pool table near the bar entrance. There were 2 bartenders working and providing good service. There were a bunch of good options on the bar food menu, like wings, fried calamari, popcorn shrimp, chicken quesadilla, spring rolls, spicy tuna tacos, Asian style baby back ribs, turkey club sandwich, burger and nachos overpriced from $ 12 – 14. The dessert menu also has a variety of options ranging from $ 9-$ 12. ANGUSBEEFSLIDERS(3) $ 14 — Meh. The bread was stale and dry and the meat was overcooked and dry. I’ll take White Castle over these day any. WATERMELONBREEZE $ 12 — Pretty refreshing and not too sweet.
