Waba Grill West Covina, Azusa/ Amar

Well I used to frequent this store a lot but I moved to West Covina and I usually go to the one close to my house but I was in the area so I toke my kids to the movies near there and afterwards decided to go to this one again …my kids and I entered the store I stud in line but my kids needed to use the restroom so I told them to ask for the key as I new they need one to enter the restroom so my son goes up to this women standing to the side of the register (Mirtha) was her name and asked her for the key I didn’t really hear what she said but I noticed that she didn’t give them the key so I waited a minute and noticed that now my kids where doing the potty dance so I stepped out of the line which it was kinda long and and asked the girl taking orders at the register if she can please give my kids the key to the restroom which she stopped what she was doing and gave me the key all along while Mirtha was walking around still not trying to give my kids the key… I usually wouldn’t not have said anything but I felt like I should so as I got to the register to take my order the girl was next to the the cashier so I told her you know my kids did have to use the bathroom and asked you for the key and you never gave it to them but it’s ok which I was gonna leave it at that and finish ordering and she says well I told him I was busy at that point was mad so i told her it doesn’t matter that you where busy the girl taking orders was busy to and she still stopped what she was doing and gave my kids the key but you couldn’t do that… do you know what this B#%tch told me (oh well) …at that point I was really mad I cussed her out and said she was disrespectful and that I would slap her ass and she then said do what I had to do it took everything out of me not not to take it there only cuz I’m pregnant I didn’t take it there with her but I continued to cuss her out asked for the manager and she thought that shit was funny till the manager came out to talk to me I told him I never been treated that way in a place of business and what kinda rude disrespectful employees they have there he tells me she is new like that makes it any better… I made them give me my money back and got my food for free and two drinks… I will never ever eat there again and I advise you go to another one instead of this one they are horrible there and there customer service is trash and Mirtha had God on her side that day cuz I was ready to turn up on her and I made it s point to write a review cuz I want everyone to know never to go there they are sorry

Son wanted to eat at Waba grill in Covina on Azusa. walked in and the young woman was arguing with a customer and a young man was standing on the Grill cleaning the vents. It was 6:30 PM. I’m sure this will enhance the waba grill experience.

First of all I have to say, for me to stop my busy life schedule, to take the time to tell others, how bad the food quality is at this establishment is, IT MUST BE REALLY BAD!
I don’t blame the employee’s. I blame the CHEAP business owner, trying to cheat the people of West Covina, by trying to save cost and selling bad low quality food.
May 27^th, Went inn and order a chicken bowl, brown rice with avocado on top.
The chicken was cold, tasted like rubber burnt, patty processed chicken.
And the brown rice was hard an un-​cooked.
Took it back, they made faces like I was bothering them, they made me another, the chicken still tasted like rubber process, chicken patty.
It seems like this business owner, is trying to use cheap bad quality chick frozen, processed chicken, that taste cheap like rubber.
I been to allot of WABU“S and this location. food standards do not compare too, other WABU location I have been too.

Don’t waste your time coming to this one, go to the the one in walnut the service here is so shit! The workers are high schoolers and don’t give a shit. They are so unprofessional, they eat behind the cash register and just stare at you all creepy
I asked for a half and half bowl the face ¾ of chicken and the rest FUCKEN steak its so garbage never coming here again

Should have taken a picture of the food before I started eating it. First off, it didn’t look like the menu. I ordered the chicken steak platter which came with kale salad and half an orange. The steak didn’t even look like steak, it was all chopped up and smothered in teriyaki sauce. It didn’t taste much like steak. The chicken was decent, the kale salad was just that, chopped kale and a hint of a few pieces of red cabbage. The orange was sweet and hit the spot. It helped remove the over bearing teriyaki sauce. I felt like I threw my money away. I would not come back to this place.

Idk what happen to this store it used to be my favorite waba. The place is a complete mess now. Doesn’t look like they have mopped in a couple days and the tables were sticky. Get your shit together ppl. Still good food tho.

The food is good, usually pretty consistent, nothing wrong with it really. I’ve been going to this waba grill since they opened the new location on Azusa and Amar and I’ve never had one decent experience. Just as many of the other reviewers have stated, the ladies at the register are not very friendly. Never get a «Hi, welcome to waba grill!» or a «How can I help you?» or even a smile. They never smile. Ever. They always look upset or mad or bored. Not good customer service. It almost makes me not want to go back, but I like the food. I guess as long as they have a steady stream of customers, they don’t care that the staff is unfriendly.

This is a good restaurant!!! Fast service, easy to go and service is good!!! I think everything is good and I recommend everyone to go to this restaurant an try it’s food an drinks.

Saff is somewhat rude. They don’t even say hello or welcome. I have walked in several times and always get the what can i get you right off the bat. No smile NOTHING. But last night really drew the line when i got my food. I always get a half and half bowl with brown rice. Welllll, the rice was extremely underdone. I couldnt chew it, it was super hard. And the meat was left in super huge chunks. I wasnt too happy with the service we received last night.

I guess I’m not the only one. Great food but horrible customer service. I’ve had two cashiers here both female with attitudes. One couldn’t understand me a gave a face like huh? Then she said «that’s a plate not a bowl. You said bowl» in a snarky tone. I replied «ok well I meant plate then.» Sad part is its new and every other waba I’ve been to has great service

Food is always great. That’s why I come here so often. BUT majority of employees give HORRIBLE customer service.

Worst experience ever… Cashier Marty couldn’t take order right… Really?! How hard brown rice or white. As for manager on Duty worse customer service ever! What happen to the customer is always right. Won’t come back due to poor service.

This is like any standard waba grill except: no Louisiana hot sauce!!! Just not the same!!!
