I love Claremont… the perfect blend of cute with quaint and charming. Their many gift-type shops are all different, yet each one offers so many things that I would want for myself, let alone gifts for others. This shop, Heirloom, is one more shop like that. I bought a cookbook that boasts recipes from cool restaurants in Portland, OR, which is a great gift for my love-to-cook brother and sister-in-law who just happen to live in Portland, OR. I can’t wait to give it to them. They have cool cards, oodles of books, things for children, girlie girl items, décor items. My niece(whose parents are the ones mentioned above) attends Pomona College, and when we visit with her, we walk around the wonderful village of Claremont and always find something new and cool to peruse. Check out this shop for some fun, interesting stuff.

We love us some Heirloom! We have purchased many gifts for friends and family here. What makes it perfect is that many items are made locally or in some way help people in need and they gift wrap for free so anyone looking for a gift on their way to a party, this is the perfect place. They have it all, the great and varied selection, the greeting cards, and the gift wrap! They have things for most ages too depending on your recipients interests and sense of humor. Heirloom has become our go to place for gifts! I absolutely recommend that you visit and check it out :-)

I came into Heirloom looking for some vintage clothing. There were so many cute clothes. Allison(i think was her name/blonde curly hair) was super helpful. She picked out like 20 outfits for me to try on. I felt very welcome at this store. Thank you!

This place is great! First time there and I fell in love. They have the cutest little things in there and I love the whole, «feel» of the shop. Clever cards, cute jewelry, and awesome selection of candles. I bought my mom one for her birthday and the cutest card. Also the cashier wrapped up my gift in such pretty ribbon! Love this place and will definitely visit again around birthdays and the holidays!

This store is amazing. I spend a long time here every time. This is where I always bought my overpriced cards for special occasions. I like the hipster vibe to it. This shop is the epitome of the city of Claremont.

One of the cutest shops in Claremont village! Everything is so eye catching. I always find myself in the back corner looking at all the books and viewing what’s drawn on the chalkboard(they change it frequently). The owners are really nice and helpful :) You should definitely check out this little shop if you ever find yourself in Indian Hill!

Heirloom is a wonderful addition to Claremont Village! Since its arrival about two years ago, I have purchased gifts, cards and clothing at Heirloom about 7 or 8 times. I’m not typically big on boutiques, but Heirloom is really special both in terms of merchandise and service. Heirloom offers items from local artists and they even have an entire section of goodies featuring our city name and slogan(«The city of trees and PhDs»). Claremonters tend to have lots of civic pride, so I enjoy buying tee-shirts and postcards with our city name. The rotating display of jewelry is super-neat. I recently bought necklaces that say various things(«mom,» «sister,» «love») in Morse Code(different length beads). Everyone to whom I have given one loves the jewelry! The children’s section is also quite special. The clothing, toys and books are adorable. The service is particularly knowledgeable and helpful. They have helped us special-order several items on multiple occasions, and they do so with enthusiasm! They helped my partner make a special coffee table light for me as a Christmas present; I treasure it! So unique! The prices are quite reasonable. I hope Heirloom stays in the Village for many years to come :-)

I love this store! They have great creative arts and crafts, plus gift ideas. This has become my go-to spot for birthday gifts and all things creative. The people there are always very kind, they aren’t pushy and let you do your own thing. If you do have questions or need help they are always right on it and know what they are doing. I truly enjoy small stores with this sort of atmosphere and unique elements.

Love cute kitschy stores like this that carry a variety of local products, adorable handmade cards, and cute gift ideas. The prices are decent, about $ 5 a card, and you can score adorable earrings, necklaces and scarves for a decent price.

When this first opened, a breath of fresh air! I find myself going here everytime a birthday or the holidays come up. I walk by it daily and usually stroll by just to see what’s new. The products are awesome! DIY to local artists to hipster mainstream. The card selection is great! They just started carrying a local artist soap collection a few months ago that I cannot get enough of. If you are in the market for the airplant craze along with blown glass — this is your spot! Rob is there to help and inform. This place inspires as soon as you walk in!

This store was super cute and had some fun unique items. The most special items were the hand made jewelry and accessories. There were lots of FRED products being sold here. I bought a couple small gifts and would love to back around Christmas time to see what they have then.

Heirloom reminds me of a cool little art general store. Kinda like this place in Brooklyn called artist and fleas. I was shopping around the village and decided to stop and check out what they had. I bought this cool plush robot from a company called Kauzbots. It’s a cool concept, the robots are different colors. And each color represents an organization the Kauzbots donates the sale of the plush robot to. So I bought the pink one and it represents breast cancer. Awesome! So now, the gift I just bought for my friend’s baby is not only adorable and unique, the money goes to a good cause. It’s a win win situation. I will definitely be holiday shopping at heirloom :)

Yes, please! Heirloom is super super cute — full of DIY accessories, gifts, and décor. Their little«make your own craft» bar is a great idea. =) Lots of stuff look like they’re straight from Etsy! We took a lot of pictures in here because it’s so interesting. =) Love the eco friendly and down to heart vibe here — it’s like having a small piece of SEED Market in Claremont! =)

Super, super cute selection of etsy type crafts and gifts. Playing the french duo Air on store soundtrack as we walked in. Includes an area for make your own, and also features local artists. Owner seems very sweet and wants to foster community. If you visit the cheese cave, then stop by here, you might very well feel like you’re in an artsy hip neighborhood such as los feliz or the mission. All Claremont needs now is an artisan ice cream shop! And gourmet deep dish pizza
