If you’re looking for authentic Indian food, then don’t come here. If you’re looking for a microwaved Indian food experience that’s overpriced, then come here.

So here’s the deal. I use to come here on the regular once a week for lunch as I worked less than a block away. Food was decent and I could order it on my Eat24 app and pick it up; no muss, no fuss. Flash forward to the week of Christmas and me and my significant other were looking for a place to eat for dinner and I suggested Tikka Wraps. We walked from our house to the restaurant and before we could open the door, the kid behind the counter looked at us and scowled(I am not joking, he scowled) and made a violent chopping motion across his neck to indicate they were closed. Besides being completely baffled/offended at being treated this way, I was curious that they were closed when I took a closer look at their handmade sign that was taped to the door that clearly said they were open until 8:00 pm. Please note that it was 5:45 ish and NOT say, 7:55 ish, which I might have understood closing a bit early. When the rude employee saw me squinting at the sign, he came out as we were walking away and grabbed the sign off the door and crumpled it. Jesus Christ there guy, control your anger issues. I e-mailed the business about my experience immediately and got zero response. This complete lack of response to a legitimate concern/complaint from someone that has spent hundreds of dollars at their restaurant tells me all I need to know. I will not be back in the future.

Sorry! I’m removing the review as it was meant for the missionviejo branch. Unilocal doesn’t seem to allow me to delete incorrect reviews at all.

It’s rare to find good fast casual Indian Food, and Tikka is a great place to go for a quick and convenient lunch. While their food lacks in the robust flavors of more traditional Indian cuisine, their food is well seasoned with a hint of spiciness and feels like a more Americanized version of Indian dining. The Chana Masala is vegan, but a great choice for anyone(carnivores included). The dish comes with rice, chickpeas and a flavorful, garlicky, red curry sauce. On previous visits here, I’ve tried the shrimp tikka masala, which was delicious; my boyfriend’s favorite dish is the boneless chicken biryani. Portions are big, and all dishes cost $ 9.99 or less. It’s hard to find good Indian food at such an affordable price! My boyfriend lives nearby, so we’ve ordered delivery from here a few times. Delivery is free and usually takes about 30 – 45 minutes(it’s always quicker than an hour!). If you dine in, there’s free parking in a giant structure behind the restaurant. If you love Indian food but are in a hurry and need a quick bite to eat, definitely stop by!

I was excited for this fast food style Indian eatery. and then I ate here and my hopes were dashed. The menu is quite limited but it seems like they’re mostly know for their chicken masala. We got a bowl of the chefs special boneless chicken curry to be a little bit more adventurous. For $ 9.99, the cashier said it was a hearty meal. Don’t be fooled – portions are not hearty. If anything, they’re on the small side. Taste is unexciting too. We came on a Friday night and it wasn’t too busy, but we unfortunately, we saw a kitchen argument erupt. Awkward to say the least. Naan doesn’t look to be freshly made either. We saw some naan packaging in the trash. just sayin.

I really love curry so while I was going to Pie Street next door I had to stop here and get myself a bowl to go. Service was ok, I asked to sample both curries since I did not know if I would prefer the onion or tomato crème based and they did not let me which did dampen my mood a bit and that along with not being a fan of the rice kept this from being a 5 star review. Food came out super quick and was a decent portion for $ 7(I had the veggie curry) While it was mostly rice, I did really like the curry and would have loved a bowl of just that. Great flavors, I will have to come back or the other kind next time.

We looked for something new and hot on Unilocal, and found this place. Overall, pretty good. Let me tell you what we liked: — reasonable prices($ 5.99-$ 7.99 for a plate) — very tasty and fresh(at least tikka masala was) — the food is prepared right then and right there — you can watch — some delicious house sauces to go with the food — friendly folks behind the counter A couple things that could be improved: — the wraps(2) were pretty small(significantly smaller than their plate portions) — I didn’t notice that the cook was doing some other duties and didn’t notice any gloves or hand washing(this concern was mentioned by other Unilocalers, so, perhaps, worth fixing) — I’d add some ethnic feel to the place(some original music, maybe souvenirs from that part of the world, etc.) But yeah, I’ll come back.
