So I gave this place a try even after reading some of the negative reviews. I will not be coming back or recommend this place to anyone. The presentation of the burger was great and the vegtables on it were fresh. The problem was the hamburger Pattie was nasty and the bottom bun was soggy. The waffle fries were good and that was the best part of the meal. This is not a place to get a burger you can get a better burger anywhere.

Just based on a beer while waiting for a carryout from Noble. It’s nice to see employees cleaning, not in the sense the they are working but in the sense that there is a clean place to eat and drink. The place smells and looks very clean. I sit down at the bar around 4:30, which was is to a crowd and catch the bartender off guard. She apologizes and asks what I’d like to drink. I ask about happy hour and she tells me and then gives me both a happy hour menu and regular menu to read. 4 dollar premium beers — sold. The food specials look like decent deals. $ 8 for a burger, fries, and soda. Not too bad. I proceed to ask her about the rumor that frozen burgers are the norm. She says it isn’t true and the everything is fresh. I think I’ll give the food a try next time. ½ off apps during happy hour as well as the $ 4 beers. Not too bad a deal. The downfall is happy hour runs from 4 – 6, which I guess is standard.

Where to begin, well won’t be back. The burger was crap. Ate half and trashed the rest. I agree with others, the bottom is very soggy and messy. The burger flavor was not great and seemed more like a frozen patty than fresh. The fries were the best part.

Great food and specials. The burger was on the messy side, but this is a plus for me. The service was attentive without being a pain.

Not a sports bar! Went there to watch a bowl game and they would not turn on the sound for the game. I guess they would rather listen to Taylor Swift which was playing on the radio when I asked. Owner’s orders we were told. Promptly left. Will not be back. Not a good place to watch a game unless you like to listen to pop music while you watch football.

Stopped in for dinner: the average price point was $ 10 for a meal and it was a good value. Ample food/service size and served to our order. Service was decent and parking is free. Not a true sports bar as most of the TV’s are at a right angle. The draft beer selection could be better/more robust.

All of the burgers are ½ pound burgers. I ordered the patty melt which is 11.00. It’s supposed to come with thousand island dressing on it but it comes on the side in that ounce container. I asked for extra because it’s not much and they charged me a quarter for extra. It’s nice to know that an 11 dollar burger is not enough, they need to recoup that 25 cents of «labor» for 1 ounce of thousand island dressing. $ 5.50 for a glass of draft beer.

Food was decent, prices were OK. What I disliked the most was eating while being surrounded by TV’s. Call me crazy, but I enjoy having actual conversations with the people at my table and not being distracted by the sight and sounds of several TV’s in every direction you look. Can’t a restaurant open up that is TV free?

YUM! Great burgers great prices. What is better than having to chose between tater tots, fries, waffle fries? With no up charge either. They have a few locations now and it is always good food.

I went to the burger bar last night had to wait about 20 minutes. It wasn’t bad seeing that it was a Saturday night. We all had burgers and they were good except for the fact that they put the condiments on the bottom and the burger on top which made the burger very soggy. Which made it fairly sloppy to eat but it was still good but it could’ve been better if they turn and put the condiments on top of the burgers. Waitstaff was very good and very friendly would go again only I would ask them to redo the burger differently

Just stopped in tonight and got some takeout, but am impressed with how friendly the bartender Paula was and with how good the salad is that I got. They subbed out grilled chicken for fried chicken tenders for me and the tenders are fantastic, as is the rest of the salad. Looking forward to going back and trying other things!!!

Absolutely fine upscale burger bar. Service was good, burger plates were very good and inline with the price, and the place was clean and nicely decorated. We’ll be back and this place will survive. Disregard the negative reviews, this place doesn’t deserve that. As s burger bar it’s hard to give 5 stars but it’s also virtually impossible to have 1 star… give me a break.

Onion rings were really good. Burger was okay. I’ll stick with Redcoat for burgers. They have good ranch, which is a definite plus for me.

Another Clawson place bites the dust. I predict that this place won’t even make it past a year. This«chain» has four other locations out in areas like Oxford and Lake Orion. A place like this might make it in the sticks where there aren’t that many restaurants, but not in an area that is near Royal Oak, Troy, Clawson and Ferndale where there are many better choices. It’s sad to put«Detroit: in the title of this restaurant because there was nothing«Detroit» about this place. The service was sucky, the restaurant had no ambiance and the food was blah. The Hideout is a much better choice. The worst part of the visit was when one of the waitresses dumped somebody’s old drink into the garbage can next to me and it ended up running all down my leg. I was sitting at the bar next to the drink station area. UGH. My reaction was to say, «WTF» loudly enough so that a different waitress heard me. I told her what happened but nothing was done about it. I deserved some free shit for that sloppiness. Boo Hiss. On to the next one…

Waited 10 min for drinks. Asked for chocolate shake for my daughter Said they couldn’t do it but did give us chocolate milk. Waited an hour for our burgers, the burgers were good. I’ll give them that it’s the staff totally that’s the problwm. After dinner she came back by and offered my daughter ice ream with syrup. We just stared at her. «But u told us u couldn’t make a shake earlier». And she said«yeah n my manager didn’t want to.» this was for a 6 yearold, poor child. She then asked me if My drink was terrible because«it looked terrible» and later asked my husband” if we were really upset about the shake because it wasn’t her decision that the manager just didnt wany to get out tht blender to do it. « This is rediculous. Not one word from the owner or Mgr to make it better, so, we won’t be coming back because your staff is rude and incompetent. Good luck.

I’m always looking to try someplace new and this place didn’t disappoint. For a somewhat dreary Tuesday night, they were still pretty busy but not to the point of having to wait a long time for anything. It would have been nice to sit out on their patio but I didn’t want to risk getting rained on. Inside was nice & clean with mostly high top tables to sit at. Clearly this is a burger place so I of course wanted to get a burger. However, they are all ½ pound patties. While I usually don’t mind a big burger, I just wasn’t up to having that much food that night. I asked the waitress if there was a way I could order a 1⁄3 or ¼ pound and she said that we could order the sliders as any type of burger on their main menu. My friend and I both opted for the sliders. She ordered them«as is» while I chose to make them like the Russell Street burger. I would have liked the Gratiot Ave. burger but as a slider but I wasn’t sure how they would make that work. We also each chose the waffle fries. We both enjoyed our food and the waitress was very attentive, even after we had been there awhile just chatting after we ate. Next time I’ll make sure I’m extra hungry and go for the full size Gratiot Ave. burger!

We stopped by today and noticed that there were many TV’s for watching the games. We chose to sit outside, although the inside was inviting as well with an attractive bar. They carry local favorites such as Faygo, Towne Club and Better Made which is always a bonus. Their burgers were nice and sloppy, with generous toppings, as any good burger should be. Their beer selection was a nice little mix of craft and local brews along with domestic favorites, which pleases the group. The staff was pleasant and engaging, we can’t wait to try this place out again!

Modern burger bar with lots of TVs, Decent drink selections and good variety of food choices. Place is large enough for groups and a nice stretch of seating at the bar. Prices are not bad. About $ 9 for a burger with fries. Started with the cheese sticks and they were crispy on the outside and gooey on the insides. You got 8 sticks which is plenty to share. I got the beef slider basket with fries. Pretty good. Burgers were hot & juicy and the fries were crispy and not a grease bomb! My husband got the Mac Ave Burger with tots. Cooked exactly how he likes(medium) Quality blue cheese that melts on the burgers and generous toppings. Bun was toasted and provided a nice crunch to the burger. We were the only table in here so of course we got quick service. :)
