Best pizza ever!!! All meat with garlic and its on! They really don’t skimp like most places. The pizzas are cover with toppings. Defiantly worth the money.

When I think of California style pizza Skipolinis comes to mind. They have several different specialty pizzas that are out of the park good. The garlic bread with cheese, reminds me of a cheese pizza minus the tomato sauce. It has a wonderful garlic taste without being overwhelming and you may find yourself eating too much and not leaving room for anything else. The white sauce pizzas are especially nice. Palermo and Martinelli are the best ones. They have lots of fresh veg toppings, the chicken is well seasoned and the portion of chicken is not small like some places do. They also have several salads that you can get with your pizza the house salad comes with shredded beets, red onion, garbanzo beans, and croutons it is a nice accompaniment to the heavy pizza. The take out is always fast and efficient and we have never had any issues ordering.

I’m a really big fan of Skipollini’s pizza. Ever since I first moved to the Bay Area, they have been at the top of my list for good pizza. The location in Clayton is smaller than other locations I’ve been too, but where they lack seating on the inside, they make up for in seating on their patio. I’ve been here twice now, and on both occasions the service has been great. The same girl rung me up at the register both times, and she’s always smiling; all the employees are. I’m the kind of guy who likes salad with his pizza, so it’s usually a must when I go out to get pie. The first dine in their house salad was ordered. It was covered in stringed beets, croutons, and garbanzo beans, all things that I love. The lettuce was way too big and had to be cut a lot, but the salad itself was amazing. For $ 11.00 you have enough for two meals just in salad. The pizza of choice is the combination, minus the black olives. The pizza was great, all the vegetables tasted crisp and fresh, the meat tasted amazing, and the best part was the cheese; Gooey, delicious, and lots of it. The second time around, same pizza, different salad. This time a Caeser was ordered. The lettuce was much more reasonable to handle this time, and once again everything tasted great, and also once more there was enough for leftovers. The price is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Absolutely worth the cost.

Ugh, no email provided to contact them and calling is way too adult for me, so here I am. Ordered pizza and the girl told me it would take 1 – 1.5 hours to get to my house. No problem! She told me the price was $ 36.08 for a M combo pizza and 2l soda. She asked how I would be paying, and I, who works in the restaurant biz, asked what would be easiest for them? She told me cash would be easiest,(as I figured, but just double checking) so I said I would pay with cash. My food arrived just shy of 1.5 hours which is totally fine with me, but when I bit into my $ 40 pizza, it was a little less than luke warm. Was super hungry so I just threw it in the microwave. If this was cheap pizza, I wouldn’t care. But this is good craft/quality pizza, and this is unacceptable. Extremely disappointed.

This review is for the take out pizza only. Granted, it’s a cute place; on the other hand, there’s not much choice in Clayton. It is, hands down, the worse pizza I’ve ever had, and that includes the make-it-yourself Appian Way pizza in a box(yes, I’m old). It is also very expensive — $ 26 for a medium pizza with sausage and peppers. Granted, I’m from NY and therefore have high expectations for pizza, but frankly, I’d rather eat the Appian Way box pizza than this. The crust was underdone, the sauce was horrible, and there wasn’t enough cheese. Even if they are the only show in Clayton, you’re better off spreading spaghetti sauce on a cardboard box and sprinkling powdered cheese on it.

Paid: $ 30 — $ 26.03 + $ 4 tip — delivery Ordered: medium pizza with 2 ingredients sausage & peppers Last time ordering from Skipolini’s 1997! Reason for giving Skipolini’s another try: New place, the nice new bocce courts, New ovens! Has to be better right? Grade: miserable failure F++ — same high school kids earning minimum wage making pizza with little or no training on how to make a «good pizza»! Crust: only thing that was ok — must be pre-prep guy knows what he is doing. Way too much yucky tasting red sauce Way too few toppings, even less cheese Sign of a good restaurant: they can handle the rush at dinner and their products do not suffer!

I have been going to this place since I was a child. I recently visited the Bay and found out they serve gluten free pizza. Typically I have to pretend I like the gluten free pizza at places but in actuality it taste like cardboard. Not here. It was so good! A great thin crusted gluten free pizza. I would highly recommend it to those eating gluten free(whether by choice or force). Everyone else in the group loved the regular crust options as well. Their pizza is the best! Great indoor and outdoor seating with a bocci ball court and arcade as well. A great pizza parlor overall!

The pizza here is one of the best in bay area. I like their house salad The only gripe about this place is the price and that they don’t take reservations Also I never can find any discounts for this place I love the patio and that I can just sit and watch passing by

We really like the pizza here at skipolinis what we don’t like is that we were standing waiting for our pizza watching the young man make it with no hats on and flicking their hair around while they’re working. It kind of made me sick thinking that there’s a possibility getting hair on my pizza hopefully the management will do something about that.

This location is very nice! The back patio is fun place to hang out. They have a playground and arcade for kids, and full bocce ball courts. The beers on draft are a good selection and the wine list looked great. The pizza was good and this was a perfect location for a birthday party.

Food is great but I think a bit high priced for pizza and salad. I’m a regular in spite of the higher price.

I have only felt inclined to Unilocal 3 places up until now, although I have eaten in 5 star restaurants throughout the bay area on several occasions. I gave Clayton Skipolini’s a high rating for the incredible service we continuously receive from Sammy on our weekly bocce nights. We have spent a lot of money there over the years and that has increased dramatically since bocce opened in Clayton. Tonight we had what was clearly a black human hair in our pizza. Unfortunately our teammate who bit into the pizza gagged and our other teammate who is actually a food safety manager was disgusted, as we all were. Sammy immediately addressed our concern but when her manager Cody was involved he tried to write it off as a mushroom hair. Our party of 10 all cook on a regular basis and found his response to be not only unprofessional but ludicrous, accepting no responsibility for the thick black hair in our pizza. We will be back. We will order through Sammy. We will question everything coming out of a kitchen run by Cody.

The food is good and hot. They have a great outdoor area for kids and boccee ball courts. There is also a small building that is a game room for the gamer. I really like the family salad and for my paleo diet I get meatballs that are very good. Oh if you sit outside by the door you will know everyone’s name around you. The staff yells your name to find you. DAVEDAVEDAVE?! Yes over here!

Skipolini’s Pizza is a Clayton institution for decades. One of the last hand thrown Pizza places in the east bay. No more sawdust on the floor, but a new hip modern Skips. Flat screen TV’s everywhere, propane heaters and patio dining. The Pizza is awesome, salads awesome, and a great selection of wine, beer, and appetizers. Like really good wines like Rombauer Chardonay, good Pinot, and many great beers on Tap. A huge bonus is the ability to dine outside and enjoy the beautiful bay area weather. In addition, you can play Bocce ball and enjoy some cold beverages by the Bocce ball courts. The staff, manager, and owner are all very friendly. This place also has a full arcade for the kids. Probably the most hip spot in Clayton, CA.

I love their gluten free pizza crust and white garlic sauce. It is to me better tasting than their regular pizza dough. Their regular pizza is good as well but I love the thin crust on the gluten free pizzas. I love the outdoor seating here and their lighting. This is my favorite pizza spot in the Claycord/Walnut Creek area. To the manager/owner could someone please write me and tell me where I can buy the bird cages you have hanging outside? I love them!!!

The pizza here is quality, that much can’t be questioned. The dough is fresh, crisp or soft where it should be and not at all soggy. The salads are fresh and tasty. It would be nice to have a few additional topping varieties, but then again I end up ordering the same kind of pizza anyway. The only gripe about this place is the price. It is just pizza after all, it’s almost unjustifiably expensive. The service is great, even with the young staff. They’re friendly, attentive, and helpful. We’ve eaten in, taken out, and dined at the bocce courts, and in all cases it’s been a good experience. Their new patio is really awesome. The outdoor fireplace and television are nice touches, but the best part is the good seats for the bocce courts. It’s fun to sit there and watch while enjoying a nice beverage.

By far this is my favorite pizza place in Concord or Clayton! It has a play area for the kids, a small arcade, bocce ball for the adults, there is food for people of all different dietary, and they even have gluten free pizza. Is plenty of parking its located in downtown Clayton which is super cute and a lot of fun just to hang out with friends. There’s a park nearby for even more fun for kids. The place is awesome for parties. They have outdoor heaters, and out door coverings with awesome lights, a fireplace, outdoor couches, a giant TV. They will put your desserts in the freezer until your ready and setup and clean up everything. Oh and fully handicap accessible. If ya like to drink they have over 20 wines and a handful of beers on tap. Could it get any better… Oh yeah and the pizza rocks, everything we have tried has been exceptional

This review covers visits from eating here as a teenager years ago. I have memories of the pizza here and even recent dreams. That crust is unreal. The size of these pizzas are real-estate worthy. The taste is almost too good for mortal man. If only I could get some pizzas shipped to this side of the country I’d eat no other slices. I hear the sawdust on the floor is gone. That makes me sad. But it wouldn’t keep me from eating here. And I notice there are new Skip locations in the area closer to downtown Concord! Very nice! Skip… thanks for the memories. The slices that you could fill up on after only two. The best type of leftovers. Sigh.
