I organized a family reunion for a large group of Indians(dots not feathers) in Cle Elum, and I was looking for a place that would accommodate both meat-eaters and vegetarians. I’m so glad we found Parlour Car! The owners were welcoming and friendly and gave us a whole room to ourselves. They worked hard to make sure EVERYONE(including three picky kids) was satisfied. The food was fabulous, not just Cle Elum fabulous but Seattle fabulous. Everything was fresh and homemade, and even though there was only one chef in the kitchen, the service wasn’t bad. The wine and cocktails kept us busy while we were waiting between courses. If you’re East of the mountains, this place is a gem.

Sat and waited for 25 minutes. Didn’t even get acknowledged. Heard the food was great. Too bad we didn’t get to try it.

We had no idea what to expect when we opened the door to this place, but we were sure glad we stopped in! One of the proprietors took care of us and was extremely sweet and friendly. Our delicious meals were accompanied by WA wine and local beer and rounded out with a tasty dessert. Don’t forget to try the fries – perfectly crunchy!

We tried this place months ago and was quite impressed with the quality of food. The only reason Im giving this review 2 stars is because of the service. The server the night we were there was also the bartender. She seemed put out and quite rude the entire time we were there. Maybe she was having a bad day, but you’d think a struggling business would be more than happy to serve you with a pleasant attitude along with a smile. Great customer service goes along way and so does word of mouth!

Sorry, unimpressed with the food, which was undercooked, the service, which was nonexistent, and the cleanliness, which it just was not. When passing through Cle Elum, pass on the Parlour Car Bistro.

We enjoyed an evening at the Parlour Car for the first time this last weekend. We were immediately impressed with the décor and ambiance which would have been right at home in a nice restaurant in downtown Seattle or Bellevue. The drinks were excellent and abundant! We ordered the caprese appetizer which was wonderful, and split an order of the chicken sausage pasta. But mostly, we so impressed with the service and smiles from Betty and Eliza that we will definitely make this our go to place when in Cle Elum.

Yuvette was wonderful. So was Bette and her crew! We were staying in Suncadia and looked up on Unilocal to find places to eat. We stumbled on and it was awesome… Great service. Friendly, fun and courteous. Food was really good and surprising for small town. Thought I was on capital hill for a second there… Kindness goes a long ways… Yvette gave me three wine pours to taste. Food was slow? We didn’t noticed! Saturday’s probably busier than usual but still great. Chill out and enjoy. Steak great. Ahi nachos great. Wedge salad great. Cioppino great… Go.

A SPLASHOFCOLORON A GREYCULINARYLANDSCAPE We ate at Parlour Car Bistro for the first time last week. Not one bite of food was anything but fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. I have eaten in restaurants all over the country and, trust me, the attention to detail here is apparent. To start, the bread is soft and delicious. The chef made us a delicious caprese salad with fresh basil, mozzarella and tomatoes. My ribeye with chipotle demi-glacé was delicious and prepared to the temperature I had requested. My wife loved her northwest cioppino, too. The waitress, Annie, was such a pro. She attended to everything, and seemed to enjoy serving us so much. The chef, Jed, and the co-owner, Elisa were friendly and helpful too. We loved the place so much that we came back a few nights later. This is the place to stop in Central Washington if you are a foodie.

The food was delectable and service exemplary! We had no less than 5 people — possibly everyone who was working there — come over to check on us multiple times. We felt very well cared for. We recommend the burger. Seriously.

Such a great find while traveling through Cle Elum! Quaint restaurant with exceptional food! I had the lemon garlic chicken which was fantastic. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time(and I eat out a lot!) I had the chocolate torte for dessert and it was incredible! Dense, rich and fantastic! We arrived right at 5pm and had fantastic service by Annie. The restaurant was still quiet when we left around 6:30 but definitely worth the visit. I highly recommend eating here. I will be back many times! Thank you for the wonderful meal and service!

Wow, food is amazing! I am not much of a seafood person, but the clams & muscles dish was very, very good. I got the tenderloin and I’m still not sure what was in it… pineapple maybe? But it was oh so good! Desert didn’t «sound» to appealing when our waitress described it, but we gave it a whirl. Wow, glad we did because by just the sound of it, you wouldn’t think those different tastes go together, but it actually works! Don’t judge by what it sound, you’ll have to taste it to believe. The Chef they have here must be good.

Atmosphere and top chef 5 star meal. Had the clams & mussel appetizer … Yum dip your bread in the lemon butter«Oh my word outstanding!» Had the pork tenderloin crazy good … And the ravioli was to stand up and scream«Holy Ravioli !» Red Lady wine and 509 tap beer and don’t stop yet. The lemon cake was so smooth and delightful I had to roll out to my car. Why did it take me do long to get here? This is worth experiencing :)

We had a party of 20 with a reservation and most were service industry veterans. After terrible service, terrible food, and a waitress wearing a belly shirt. We made one complaint about a $ 25 meal being cold. The owners left me in tears. They came to give me the $ 90 check, and told me to get my ugly ass out of their establishment. Not a joke. This happened. I am shocked and horrified. I hope nobody considers this as an actual option for food. I was ACTUALLY verbally attacked as a customer in tears. Embarrassed in front of all of their customers. Appalling.

The power went out Saturday night so we needed to find a place to eat. With our neighbors we chose the Parlor Car Bistro. Four different meals, all were good. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Then came the music which normally has me heading for the door due to my poor hearing. We had the table closest to the trio and we could listen or talk without being overwhelmed. It really made for a nice evening. Now as to the pumpkin martini’s, we stayed as far away as possible. So far this is the nicest meal we have had in Cle Elum and the prices were quite reasonable.

Ownership has no clue about food or the restaurant business. My favorite lines from the evening were: 1. Our chef has less than 6 months of experience. We’re looking to hire a chef that went to cooking school. 2. I didn’t know that cooking salmon at too high of a temperature causes the fat to bleed to the surface and the salmon to be dry. 3. The food will be better next time. 4. Oh, the extra 15 is the corkage fee. The clams were cold, salad contained rotten leaves and salmon was dry. She made no attempt to make up for these issues by offering us a drink or taking money off the bill. I would advise staying away from this restaurant.
