It was good but not even close to the best chinese buffet ive been to. For the area probably the best around the mall.

This is probably the second best buffet to me in Clearwater. There’s a good selection of sushi, mangolian style, and hot entrees from chicken to salads, to desserts. There’s a few TVs which give it nice appeal, the customer service was Ok. But overall a good buffet to take the family out too and it won’t hurt your pockets.

Go during lunch!!! It way cheaper and worth it! Dinner is not worth the price. A lot of food to choose from. Calamari clams sushi. No orange chicken tho which is disappointing. But I love this place. I always come here at least 2 times during my vacations.

Came here for lunch and got my fix of asian food. I’ve been here for almost 2 weeks so been craving it for a while. Good ayce chinese buffet. Has everything you want at a buffet and more. Food is continually replenished with fresh food. Not the best quality but what do you expect from a buffet at this price. My favorite was the peanut chicken and bbq chicken. Asked the sushi chef for a spicy tuna temaki roll but he just pointed to the spicy tuna maki that was already made on display. Not sure if he understood me or they don’t make rolls at all. Dessert has a number of small bites and also 8 flavors of ice cream.

Tonight was our first time eating at Chopsticks and most definitely the LAST. I’ve been to Chinese buffets before. My expectations were set accordingly. Beginning with the rude staff. One employee was walking and bumped into me. He didn’t even bother saying«excuse me». Other staff walked around just looking miserable. Likely for good reason. The sushi was awful even by Chinese buffet standards. Brown avocado and un naturally bright red and pink filleted fish. No thanks. Some dishes were dried up and untouched. Who cares?! Others were empty. This is on a Saturday night. Finally I must say the fried dumplings were ok. But so not worth the money. Go somewhere else

Giving 3 stars to this place is being very generous. Let me start with the positives. The size and range of the Buffett is very large. I’m impressed with the different Asian influenced items that the buffet had. They say you shouldn’t eat sushi at a buffet place but it was decent. The sake was hot and kept hot by a table side kettle keeping the sake hot. That was great. Now on to the negatives… The sushi, although decent tasting, was very warm. Didn’t seem plausible. The mussels, 3 that I had, had babies in them. Ugggh. And the service was not good either. They take care of their customers by committee but not one of the people that were taking care of us seemed like they wanted to be their or even try to put a smile on their face. They hovered over the table like a drill sergeant and never got us refills unless we asked. From the host at the door to the service at the table the service was just weak.

I’ve been here on and off over the last probably 6 years and it’s gotten progressively worse. Their sushi selection is limited and the fish is paper thin on the sushi pieces. The fried items are fried. Not much to improve. But their steamed items like the dumplings and pot stickers, taste like dirty water. Maybe a hint of bleach. It’s clean. As clean as a buffet can be. The staff is attentive. The food just isn’t great. The seafood has no flavor, clams, crawfish, crab, etc. the soup is ok. Overall I leave more disappointed than anything. For the price, on Sunday $ 13.99 I suppose it’s decent. I just don’t think I’ll be returning.

The food here never disappoints! It’s always hot and pretty fresh. They have a wide variety for everyone. One of the best Chinese buffets around here for sure!

Come on. You cannot beat the quality of food at this price. The restaurant is large, clean, cute and very well staffed. I just wish they would slap my hands when I go up for that 3rd plate. LOL

Chopsticks falls in the category of somewhat okay Asian restaurants. The food resembles to food court Chinese. The food is mostly sugar, mostly fried and mostly lame. If you’re looking for some good old Chinese, keep looking. On the plus side, it gets very crowded, so the food circulates. I don’t think the food is worth the money. I guess it would be fine if they charged $ 8-$ 10. If you want your blood sugar levels to spike thru the roof, Chopsticks is your place!

Pretty decent food. Lots of variety of things you can have. I really enjoyed the sushi — I had salmon pieces, salmon nigiri, a few types of sushi rolls. I had a bit of everything, crab legs, pepper steak, hibiachi chicken, fried rice and lo mein. They had cocktail shrimp which I enjoyed but probably would’ve been a lot easier if they were already removed from the shell. Lots of dessert options available, like cake, cookies, fruit. I had the green tea ice cream and it was good and they offer maybe 5 or 6 kinds of ice cream. Lots of variety, probably not the best food I’ve ever had but pretty tasty and definitely filing.

Went there on 1÷7÷16 and was very disappointed. Heard good reviews from friends and thought my girlfriend and I would try it out. I have eaten at a few Chinese buffets and my expectations were not very high but this place failed to meet my low expectations, from cleanliness to the attention of the waiting staff. The sushi was of low grade, the rice and the fish did not seem fresh at all. Couldn’t bring my self to eat any of the mussels or peel and eat shrimp. And as far as the standard entrees go, they all lacked in flavor. My girlfriend and I will not be going back.

In an effort to try places that we once visited but were disappointed, we decided to give Chopsticks another whirl. We were pleasantly surprised that the food(overall) was pretty good! I’ve learned many things from the internet over the years and one is to completely survey a buffet before you plan your culinary attack. Another wise suggestion is to avoid all starches(noodles, rice, etc.) until you’re nearly finished due to stomach expansion. Also, no soup or salad because you need to get your money’s worth. Get protein: seafood, chicken, beef, etc. I wanted some Chinese food so I opted for the myriad of chicken dishes from fried to grilled. At lunch, they didn’t offer any crab legs just mussels and cold boiled peel-your-own shrimp. Not wanting shrimpy digits, I stuck to the steam table offerings. They were OK, especially the Grilled and Hibachi Chicken. I didn’t really eat any of the sushi or the teppanyaki grill. The service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was clean and orderly. For the money, I will definitely go there again. It really was good but stay away from the fried rice(it was bright yellow, more like Spanish rice) and the Lo Mein… not good and the white rice was broken and too sticky. But don’t mind those flaws, go for the protein and have a good meal!

I have been too a lot of Asian buffets over the last yea, r while my girlfriend has been pregnant, and this one checks all the boxes for what we are looking for in a buffet. They have everything you can want for Asian buffet food goes(fried rice, sticky rice, chicken, lo mein, crab rangoon, egg roll, won ton soup) all of which was hot and delicious. The Miso soup is a must have. They also have some items for a picky eater, who only likes french fries and nuggets. The general tso chicken was my favorite. They kept it clean and the attendant was alway making sure the food was stocked. People have said it is expensive since it is $ 15 but that is because they include the most important food item, the crab legs, which are hot, fresh and they actually have crackers for you to use. The sushi was awesome. I’m not much of a raw fish guy but they had so many choices and it was kept fresh and clean. The desserts were simple but I recommend the fried sugar donuts with ice cream on top. This is by far one of the best Asian buffets we have been to in a long while. They don’t skimp on the crab legs and actually make sure you get some nice plump ones. Enjoy!

I love this place. We usually go for lunch on Saturdays as it’s only $ 8.59 per person and order hot tea for $ 1 per person. For two people they serve a teapot full of hot tea. Their lunch buffet is from Mondays through Saturdays. We usually go there on Saturdays. Once in awhile we go for dinner. Their dinner buffet from Mondays through Thursdays and on Sundays is $ 13.99 per adult. On Fridays and Saturdays their dinner buffet is $ 14.99 per adult. Children from age 3 to 5 range from $ 3.99 to $ 4.99 per child while children from age 6 to age 9 range from $ 5.99 to $ 7.99 per child depending on the day you go. Check out their website for their prices before you go. They have a combination of Chinese, Japanese, American, Italian, and other dishes not just Chinese and not just sushi. I am Chinese and I love it~! They do not offer crab legs for lunch but the price, quality, service, and cleanliness are on point. A huge pet peeve of mine is when serving ladles are sticky with food particles and/or grease. Staff here keeps their serving ladles clean. Same for the women’s restroom. I love their sushi. I love what they call«hibachi chicken». I love the variety of their vegetables as well. They also have kim chee, fish, soups, rice, noodles, quality ice creams for dessert… yum! I look foward to lunch at Chopsticks. They are usually many people enjoying the food at this restaurant. Obviously people love the quality of their food, service, value, and cleanliness. I certainly do. Yes I will definitely return.

We’ve been here a few times. The parking is pretty good but can be hard to find at dinner time. There is never a very long wait, if one at all. The place is clean and the weight staff is polite and attentive. The fresh sushi bar is wonderful! Great selection of fresh sushi, both cooked and raw for various tastes. There is low sodium soy sauce, fresh wasabi and ginger slices available. The buffet is fresh with a wide variety of food available. There is salad, fresh fruit, shell fish, pork, chicken, ribs sauces, rice, noodles, soups, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, egg rolls, and many other foods. There is a desert bar as well. Full range of drinks are also available. There are tables and booths and TVs on news channels all over. I’ve only given 3 stars because it seems the price has gone up quite a bit and for people who don’t eat a huge amount it’s almost not worth it. However for a family who eats a lot it might be. It worked out at $ 15/person. Worth a try as the food is fresh and pretty good.

I was really hankering some Chinese food, and it was a Saturday night, so why get delivery? This restaurant is not gourmet. However, for $ 15 bucks a head for Saturday night(cheaper in the week and even cheaper for lunch), I’m not complaining! The hostess was nice enough. The owners were nice too but I could tell they were really stressed, with a full house on at 7 on a Saturday night. The restaurant is clean and HUGE. The buffet area is in the center and the identical dining rooms flank the buffet room. There are many many buffet stations. First off is the sushi bar. There is a lot of sushi, but some of it was sloppily rolled. Still tasty, nevertheless. Next to that was the hibachi grill. If you have been on a Carnival cruise, it is basically the Mongolian Wok. You can pick what type of meat, sauce, and noodles. Three quarters of the stations are dedicated to meats. The fried food station consisted of items like chicken nuggets(5⁄10), fried potatoes, crab rangoon(8⁄10), Chinese doughnuts(9⁄10) and dumplings(10⁄10). I loved the dumplings! The carb station had rice and lo mein noodles(6⁄10), wonton soup(8⁄10) and other soups. The chicken stations were plentiful but repetitive. There was always a type of fried chicken in a sauce, like orange chicken or General Tso’s chicken. The peanut chicken was different but a little too peanutty for my tastes. The grilled chicken tasted exactly like mall teriyaki chicken! All of the chicken was tasty but I would appreciate less fried chicken. Roast beef was tender and juicy and I loved the Mongolian beef. ‘Interestingly’ the salad bar was seldom touched. The kimchi was good. The seafood was pretty good. I like that the stone crab legs are hot, not iced. Plenty of crawfish and peel and eat shrimp abound as well. The salmon looked gross. As with moth Chinese buffets, the desserts were a hit or miss. Luckily there wee no refrigerator tasting cream puffs. The tiramisu was good, the coconut cake was better, and the ice cream was the best. I like the mint ice cream and the green tea the most. The cosmic brownie looking things were gross. They tasted like they were made in an easy bake oven. The carrot cake wasn’t great either. Our waitress was nice and on top of our drinks. The bathrooms were clean, an indicator of a clean kitchen. And no one had weird feelings in their tummies that night, so all is good! I’ll be back due to the convenient location, good food at a good price and that it is cleaner than your neighborhood Golden Star/Wok/China/Dragon/Phoenix.

The best Asian buffet in the bay area. If you come for crab legs during dinner, come on a week night after 8pm. Otherwise you’ll never get any. Great peanut chicken!
