Uncle Kenny’s BBQ

I love uncle kennys! They have the best BBQ and their takeout is perfect for when mom just doesn’t feel like cooking.

Such a wonderful little place! I could eat the peach cobbler every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. A true family restaurant with the most friendly service you’ll find around here. Don’t miss stopping here at least once or twice!

Tried it once and won’t ever go back. Disappointing to say the least. We need Hobo’s back!

When we lived in GA, there were many BBQ restaurants near us, and all were not that great. When we moved here, a friend mentioned Uncle Kenny’s and we have been hooked ever since! Great ribs, awesome pork, and fantastic brisket. Their fried okra is my absolute favorite! =) You won’t be disappointed! Keep in mind, this is a mom&pop style restaurant, so don’t go in expecting fine dining. The servers are always sweet, get your order, your food, and leave you to it! They don’t do that annoying thing where every time you take a bite they ask how it is. =)

Had a great lunch here. I went for the pulled pork rolls and fries. Very filling. Recommend you guys try it

A group of us rode to Uncle Kenny’s BBQ, first time there for all of us but it definitely won’t be the last! BBQ was very good! Everyone enjoyed their meals which ranged from pulled pork egg rolls (my order, YUM!) to the Brisket, to Ribs and some pulled Chicken thrown in there too! Only negative comment was that the coleslaw could be better. The other sides were yummy; mac & cheese, beans, homemade chips !!! A little difficult to find, GPS will take you to the 7 eleven gas station… turn right there and Uncle Kenny’s is right in behind, beside the Citrus Tower.

Great spot to eat. Great food with lots of Southern flavor. Been here numerous times, can’t go wrong. The service is okay. Typical BBQ ambiance.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and the service was mediocre. The waitress didn’t get our half of the tables orders for appetizers and the staff where young and not well trained. Food was ok, the deep fried mac and cheese was highly suggested, but it was Kraft stove top mac and cheese and not even homemade. Meats were good and cooked well with good sauces, and the desserts were yummy as well.

Very good southern BBQ joint. The Mac and cheese was delicious just wish they would give you more it’s in a itty bitty cup. Two separate occasions I’ve had the pulled pork and ribs. Both were good, I prefer the ribs just because I’m a rib kinda gal. Every time my husband and I are in Clermont visiting friends we always stop here. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is fantastic. Tucked away behind the Citrus Tower in a building that has been around for quite a while is some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time.
All the meats are really great. The pulled pork is fantastic and the chicken is some of the best I have had.
Besides the standard BBQ fare, of course, are some special items that you would not think of but are really great. Items like the pulled pork egg rolls and pulled pork nachos are really good and a good twist on some classics from other cuisines.
Side dishes are great. The bedford slaw is really nice with the BBQ standards of baked beans and mac and cheese holding up to the standard of everything else on the menu.
You have a nice choice of sauces on the table, from traditional sweet and hot, to vinegar and mustard base sauces. The mustard is a must on the pulled chicken in my opinion.
Overall, we are very lucky to have Uncle Kenny’s here in Clermont as we get to have some of the best BBQ in Florida right on our doorstep.

Ribs were great, cool people and when I told them my obsession about BBQ they opened the downstairs to show me all the smokers and everything they had for sale. Talked to them quite a bit about all different aspects. I judge any BBQ place outside of Texas by their ribs, and their spares were outstanding. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and sauced.

Very good BBQ. Has several different sauces. Mostly friendly service. Generally thrusters fast. The customer area where you eat in is like eating in your own kitchen. Prices are a little high for what you get.

Out of prime rib special before 6 pm? Really? I don’t think so. I’ll save my bait and switch tolerance for used car deals.
Unbelievable.
My first visit here (some time ago as the original review has disappeared) was for a full rack of ribs special. The entrée put in front of me was a full rack, but in length only. Never before have I seen such short stubby ribs. Sorry that doesn’t equal a full rack in my book so the special wasn’t really a special was it? (wish I’d had my camera)
As for the rest of the meal, why bother when you can get this upset before the first bite?

We had wings, pulled pork egg rolls and brisket and it was amazing!!! Best BBQ I’ve ever tried.
Get the wings Melissa’s way, the mixture of the two sauces is spot on. Everything was fresh, made to order and piping hot.
Service is nice and helpful and the gentleman in the kitchen was very polite and helpful too!

Uncle Kenny’s BBQ is the best BBQ in the Clermont area, possibly the world. I’m always torn between trying something new or sticking with their pulled pork every time! Today, I felt a little adventurous and went with their pork steak, and had coleslaw and baked beans with it, and it was amazing! The ribs are great and the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich is phenomenal. If they ever have it on the menu, make sure to order their Jalepeno Poppers!
This place has everything a BBQ fan could want, and with their friendly staff and great food, I’m always looking forward to my next trip down to Kenny’s!

This is a small little BBQ, and obviously a community family. Some people liked the BBQ more then others, but this place gets 5 stars for the service, homie atmosphere, and sweet people.
Food: (4 STAR) half rib dinner 5 star. My BBQ pork sandier have was good but not the best pork I’ve ever had. The food is good, with all types of sauces and defiantly made with love.
Atmosphere: (4 star) comfortable, welcoming, and you can come dressed in anything.
Service: (5 star) wonderful people, everyone was welcoming, people like this are the reason I love family owned restaurants like this.

Spotted this place on Unilocal while in town on vacation. The reviews I read were confirmed… the pulled pork egg rolls were tasty, the pork very moist. Got the two meat plate with jalapeño sausage and ribs. The sausage had a nice smoke flavor and good spice to it. The ribs were very tender and juicy.
I thought the mustard sauce was exceptional. The other three sauces were also good, and I thought the spicy wasn’t nearly as aggressive as you see at some places (which could be good or bad, depending on your perspective, but it still had a nice flavor to it).
I had the fries and okra for sides. They were acceptable, but nothing exceptional, which is a shame given how special the meat was.
Service was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Did an OK job of keeping up with refills.
Only other thing I wished for was a liquor license… bbq is soooo much better with a good craft beer!
Still, the meat really stood out, so this is an easy four stars for me.

I always say people who give bitter and bad reviews about a place are probably ex employees who got fired! Ha ha
We enjoyed our lunch today at this place staff was very attentive, had the pull pork nachos they were good. BBQ tacos different but good. the 3 meat plater was big enough for 2 people! Yum yum on the Ribs, sausages and chopped brisket! Slaw was great and different potato salad was good. Over all we will go back again. but maybe a new location back in Winter Garden would be awesome!!! A new place to hang and show off All those awards they have won!!!
For the people who complained about the styrofoam cups and way the food is served on baskets, Sonnys is just down the road on highway 50 have fun! I like the picnic feel to uncle Kenny’s and the simplicity of good food and décor. thanks again and Come back to WINTER GARDEN :-)

I had pulled chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw. It was very good. The chicken might of been a little fatty but had a good smoky taste to it.
Fries and coleslaw was good.
Fresh brewed tea was great.
Very busy during lunch hour. They don’t have a lot of tables so there’s s wait when they’re busy. The service was friendly.

My family and I recently visited Uncle Kenny’s BBQ for lunch at the recommendation of several locals we met at a shopping center across the street. We were told what it lacks in décor, Uncle Kenny’s will for sure make up in it’s food. They were right.
The service was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and we wanted for nothing. We started our meal with the Pulled Pork Eggrolls. They were so good and honestly, could have been a meal by themselves.
Seven of us were dining so we were able to try various items on the menu. Items ordered were the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, Slicked Brisket Sandwich, Chopped Brisket Sandwich and the special of the day, the catfish platter.
And don’t let me forget the dessert! Let me just put it out there now, that may have been the best damn peanut butter pie I’ve ever had!
The testament to this visit was when my Step Moms plate was left empty. This may have been the first time I’ve ever seen her eat everything on her plate.
We can’t wait to visit Uncle Kenny’s BBQ again soon.
