I’m looking forward to trying their pizza. I’ve tried a lot of their menu items… Calamari is great, the spaghetti and meatballs and the shrimp scampi were both fantastic. It’s not fine dining but if you changed the suroundings, it could be. The portions and quality are worth a try. Authentic Italian. What you get for the price is a definite value.

I only go to this place after a haircut because it is convenient. Average to below average pizza. Haven’t tried anything else. The pizza they sell by the slice in the display case looks like it has been there an extended period of time. A plain slice is $ 2.00. Add a snapple to the order and it will run you over $ 4.00. Too expensive. The drop ceiling has dirty water stains all over it and the floors are gross.

Great food and amazing service! I had been trying to dine at another local Italian restaurant but my reservation was not held there. We decided to give them a call and they were able to give us a table right away. Our waitress was great and knowledgeable about the menu. We had 3 appetizers and 3 dinners, way too much food because the portions are large. Everything is fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend!

So friendly. Booths in front and tables down a step. Very casual and comfortable. Waitress was so attentive without hovering. Meal was delicious. Pasta salad or fries was offered with my sausage and pepper sandwich. Sausage was in slices. Pasta salad was delicious. bF had cheesesteak wrap with fries. Outside seating parking. on site

Stopped by for a quick meal, and it was decent but nothing special. We ordered two slices of pizza, cheese calzone, and a garlic stick. The two slices of pizza and the garlic stick were pre made and put in the oven, but the cheese calzone was microwaved first, yes microwaved. I thought it was a joke and just looked at my bf in disbelief. I’m assuming they did that because it would take a while to heat up the cheese inside in the oven, but still. Overall food was decent and we were able to eat most of it, but it wasn’t incredible. The staff was definitely rude but I expected that after reading the reviews. If you’re in a pinch it’s a quick decent meal, but if you’re planning a meal go somewhere else.

Not bad, not great. Not sure what else to say. Restaurant is on the way home, and it’s closer than swinging by Flemington so decided to give it a try. Overall just average.

Nothing very special about this place. I find myself here when I want to walk around Clinton, but I prefer other pizza places in the area. Food is good, but just that. The joint is pretty nice, but nothing extreme and the service is decent too. Nothing above and beyond, but it works.

Ordered two dinners and an appetizer for take out and all three were not good. I have been a regular at Pizza Como for over a decade and over the past year or two the quality of the food has taken a nosedive. What was once a great place to eat is now mediocre at best. In the past I was willing to pay their expensive prices for quality food but no longer.

Defiantly the best pizza in Clinton. I love that they have slices to go. Such a quick and easy dinner

Great place to come for lunch in the clinton area. For lunch they dont have seating for large groups(booths only) and no waiter service. Their speciality slices are awesome! I never saw taco salad pizza before and it was incredible.

Hey Louis: if your customers have to ASK for a fresh calzone, meaning, one made to order, there is something wrong with your mindset. Your customers deserve to eat FRESH food, not food festering on the counter percolating bacteria. You’re totally clueless about customer service as well as food safety regulations. We found a great place that we can walk to from yours, we love the food there. They make all the calzones fresh to order. So diners, this is an example of what I mean about the attitude at Pizza Como. Lots of it, not much value, no respect for their customers. I don’t enjoy giving bad reviews, you got one because you failed the restaurant golden rule: The customer, not the owner, is king. –1 star

We love the food here and love coming here but, went Saturday July 5, early eve, and was not sure whether there was a «private» gathering or provided music. Two guitarists/singers were playing. The people sitting listening to them must have been invited to attend by them. Some of the people were quite obnoxious and loud. I guess they may have been enjoying and supporting the musicians but Pizza Como should really encourage those guests to be respectful of those not there for the music. We went for the food and while the music was a nice idea it was more like a personal performance then entertainment for the paying customers. Next time we go and see musicians set up we may end up elswhere for our meal.

Best pizza in town no question. My kids also love the calzone and their tomato sauce is exceptional. Service is not the best, but pretty consistent every time we go. We’ve been going there for the last 4 years and I can tell that the size of the large pie has been steadily shrinking. Either that or my kids have now grown too big? We used to be able to order one large pie and a couple of calzones and be set but now we need to order more.

I went to get a haircut and while I waited, I got two slices. The Margarita was the worse I have had in my personal Margarita taste test for Clinton and Flemington. The cheese was lumpy and the pizza lacked taste. I got a veggie slice for the another and it wasn’t much to brag on. I won’t be back.

My family and I went to Pizza Como on Thursday night for a quick dinner before heading to a friend’s birthday party. We had really been looking forward to it. My husband is from the Clinton area and has always raved about the pizza but has always gotten take-out. How different could eating in be? Very, as we regretfully came to find out. It was a mistake from the minute we walked in the door. The(non)Service: It appeared as if there was only one waitress working. She was initially friendly, but utterly overwhelmed. We took that into account. We ordered a large salad. We were not asked what dressing we wanted. When it came, she neglected to bring us plates. We ate off of bread plates because we couldn’t get her to even acknowledge us again to ask for normal ones. We had ordered a pizza and a children’s hotdog. it took 55 minutes. That’s right…5−5. We were not given condiments to go with the food when it finally arrived(cheese, oregano, red pepper, etc.) so we had to ask. She asked which ones we wanted and seemed impatient for our answer. We stated we wanted all of them and she seemed to be getting exasperated. When she brought them back, we were missing red pepper. The waitress didn’t bring it till we asked a second time and even then we were nearly done eating before it was given. Up until that point, she had been friendly. We were agitated and let that show on our faces and she immediately changed her demeanor. Instead of being apologetic or understanding, she became nasty and downright rude! Tossing a box at us and then, finally, the check when it was asked for. We tried to take into account the fact that she was obviously in completely over her head, but that isn’t really your customer’s issue and at some point you have to ask for help. Shame on the management if she did and they didn’t act, but that is NO reason to be rude! Her service ruined our meal. The Food: Frankly, this is what earned the second star. The salad was fresh, but the dressing was thick and syrupy. The pizza was hot and crispy, not greasy and frankly utterly delicious! We ordered the mushrooms(fresh not canned!), spinach(also clearly fresh) tomatoes and fried chicken. The kids hotdog was what you would expect from a kids menu and our child ended up eating the pizza. The Overall: Due to the wait and the service, we will never eat there again and I have serious reservations about ordering take-out. Plenty of other places to try. Its a real shame. I hope the management does a better job of staffing to ensure these types of experiences don’t happen anymore.

I’m surprised Pizza Como gets such mixed reviews. We are native New Yorkers, and definitely know Italian food. Yes, we know this is Hunterdon County, and so by default every review of Italian should have a slight curve. Nothing will ever beat true NY Italian food. That being said, we are always happy with Pizza Como and come here often. Their pizza is good(again, not amazing but it’s true NY style and we’ve never turned our noses down at it for not tasting good!) and any of our entrees have always been tasty. The bread they use for their heros is excellent. We know what to expect when we go to Pizza Como, and we know we’ll leave satisfied. It’s a solid choice for a good meal in Clinton. It’s not fancy, so don’t expect romantic dinner… but as a family spot, we love it. One downside is that they don’t have waitress service in the dining room until after 5 on most days. That only leaves the upper«fast» part of the restaurant to choose from, where you sit at pizzeria style booths. The bathrooms could be cleaner too. But if those are my only complaints, I’d still say this place is a good choice!

I personally do not like their pizza b/c the sauce has no flavor and the dough/cheese isn’t the greatest. Also their pizza oven is not a good oven from what it looks like. I grew up on nyc pizza. If you want really good pizza for the hunterdon county area, you need to goto Panatieris in flemington, its about 10 minutes away. As for this place, there is a sit down service but the place doesn’t crank out the kind of dishes that I would want to go out to eat a nice dish at. Their entrees are ok, the only two things I get here are the meat ball parm sub or the chicken parm dinner. The chicken parm dinner is good b/c the sauce they use is different from the pizza sauce. It has more flavor or they add garlic or something to it b/c the sauce on the pizza tastes like its straight out of the can. There are 4 – 5 pizzeria’s in the clinton area, I would goto dimolas on rt 31 before this place but they have been going down hill as well. So stick to my recommendation of Panatieris in flemington. btw… the other Panatieris locations aren’t good, the only one cranking out good pizza is the flemington location.
