Super rude service. Recived the bill 3 mins after our food. Talk to the manager she was rude as well. Hope the replace all the non cooking staff. Food was great. Should’ve went to McDonald’s for better service.

Oh dear… Since my first review, our experiences degraded rapidly… I’ve been waiting to update my review hoping that things would turn around… but they really haven’t and I cannot let my previous 4 star review stand. This Denny’s continues to get our business solely because they are the most convenient location-wise. Each of our dining-in experience has been okay… the service is very hit or miss(with missing order items or disappearing wait-staff a regular thing), but the food has been mostly standard Denny’s quality. When we’re having a lazy morning, my husband loves to order breakfast to go, which we have probably done about 10 times from this location in the past two years. Of the ten times, only once was the order correct. Each of the other times, we have either discovered missing or incorrect items. A few of those times, the staff member has even checked our meals against the order ticket and still tried to hand us incorrect orders to go. It has gotten so frustrating that I no longer allow my husband to pick up to-go orders from this place. If the grease doesn’t give him a heart attack, the frustration of having to convince the server that the order is incorrect will. Today, we called in an order and I went to pick up. We ordered an All American slam and a grand slam. A gentleman wearing what I believe was a general manager name tag rung me up very pleasantly. I asked him if he’d mind my checking the order before I left. I noticed the grand slam had hash browns, pancakes, one bacon and one sausage. I mentioned to the manager that the grand slam was missing one sausage and one bacon, as it should come with two of each(not one of each). The manager told me that was a complete grand slam– three items – hash browns, pancakes and the sausage/bacon counting as the third. I responded with my understanding that a grand slam had four items – not three. The manager said no. that’s only for special grand slams(like the All American). At that point, I checked the All American slam which was correct – but had an extra side of toast-which I pointed out. I then grabbed a to-go menu, which clearly stated that a grand slam came with four items, and bacon and sausage selections each came with two pieces. When I showed the manager this in print, he started talking about how — wow– he only rings this stuff up… Another woman with manager on her badge(not sure what her exact title was) seemed to catch the end of this conversation and immediately began to take steps to correct the error. with the general manager still doing nothing but making up excuses. I ended up leaving with the correct order plus some extra bacon and sausage… and again wanting to bang my head against a hard surface due to the frustration. It seems that this place either suffers from several staff and management that either are incompetent, or just don’t care. What sucks is that I can tell there are other people, such as the lady who stepped in to correct the situation, who do care. I give two stars for the people who care, and delete three for those who don’t.

Loved my waitress Eva! She was so nice and prompt! For being so busy our food came sooner than would be expected! Everyone was very friendly overall and facility is always clean. My favorite location by far!

This was the worst. Our waitress was overly helpful. But twice my scramble came out burnt. The first time it was smoking when it came out. And literately was burning while on our table. The waitress took it back. The 2nd time it came out still burning and half the size of the first. I was not impressed with the cook staff at all. I don’t expect it to be five star food but not burnt would be great. Wait staff was awesome. I won’t be back to this Denny’s.

I dine at this denny’s fairly regularly. Food is always top quality and the service is usually good. The most recent time we dined at this establishment, we had a waitress named liliana. Not only was she wonderful in her ordinary duties, she went above and beyond by staying over her break just to make sure her customers were not dissatisfied. She was a wonderful waitress that made me want to return to this clovis denny’s. Five stars.

Garbage. Disgraceful to the legendary name of Denny’s. It seems to be that they dislike customers. The service is ridiculous they make you feel uncomfortable and they are stuck up and rude. It takes 35 minutes just to get a milkshake or any drink for that matter. Everything is so slow and the waitresses are rude and don’t treat a customer how they should be treated or show any decency. They lost my business that’s for sure.

If you do not mind waiting for an hour to get your food after you order, this is an OK place. It is clean and the staff I have dealt with are nice. They definitely give smaller portions on some items than do other stores. But, again, do not come here if you are already hungry because you will starve before you get your food. We have been here around 10 times and the service times are always extremely slow, even when they are not busy. But the food is usually good.

After three visits to this location, it’s time to write a review. It’s not that I absolutely hate this particular Denny’s, but I most likely will not be visiting this location again. There has never been an issue with the food(other than the portions are considerably smaller than other Denny’s in the Fresno area), and I have to give their kitchen credit for knowing how to cook an egg properly. I don’t have any issues with the cleanliness of this store either. The tables are always properly bussed, and someone is taking the effort to clean up the syrup containers and salt and peppers. The service though is what always leaves me wishing I had gone somewhere else. If I could sum it up in one word, it would be «disjointed.» We’ve had issues with the service every single time we’ve gone to this store, and the last two visits, we had the same waitress… she needs training BAD. In typical diner fashion, the wait staff have always been friendly, so I kind of feel bad giving them a negative review, but it’s almost as if none of them have ever worked in food service before. Our first trip, the waitress was almost afraid to take our order, and kept repeating everything back to us numerous times. She was overly apologetic about it too. «Oh, I’m sorry, what was your order again? I’m sorry. Okay… Wait, was that wheat toast? No? Oh, that’s right. You wanted English muffin. I’m sorry. What was it again? I’m sorry…» It was bizarre hearing a waitress apologize over and over again while taking our order. I chalked it up to her being new… and no, I didn’t get an English muffin delivered that time. I also never got refills on my Diet Coke or water, my wife never even got her lemonade, and the kids’ meals came out a good fifteen minutes after our breakfasts were delivered. Also, the food was lukewarm at best. Next time we went was about a month ago, and got a nice waitress who was unfortunately taking care of far too many tables. I honestly felt bad for her, and mistakes were made. I didn’t fault her though(that time) because I was impressed with her good attitude about it. The manager came by our table when he heard that we had basically received another table’s complete order, and even though it took another fifteen minutes, we had our correct food. Again though, refills were a complete no-go. Third and last time, and the restaurant was virtually empty. Two other tables besides us, and when the waitress took mine and my uncle’s order, she left to punch it in before she even took my wife and kids’ orders. Did she not see that she missed more than half the table’s orders? Oops! I tried(unsuccessfully) to flag her over when we realized her mistake, but she was off taking care of other tables. Meanwhile, the table directly behind me was lamenting about how their grand slam breakfasts were completely wrong. In an ironic twist of fate, the gentleman was commenting about how he got wheat toast instead of his English muffin. His wife’s omelet apparently was supposed to also be a grand slam, and she didn’t even get toast. The waitress finally came back to deliver our food and asked if we needed anything else, and my wife answered«Yes, how about taking MY order now, and our kids’ orders?» I don’t think the waitress even caught her own mistake — just whipped out her pad and said«Okay hun, what would you like to order?» like she had forgotten to take the orders to begin with. By this time, the THIRD table had to go flag a manager because they too got the wrong items. It seemed like the reason the tables were ALL unhappy was because the cheerful waitress should be reconsidering her line of work. Until they either get some better wait staff or do some serious training with the ones they’ve currently got, I will not be returning.

Place was absolutely freezing. Took 10 Minutes to be waited on after being seated. My daughter’s Hamburger was an absolute mess. Bread literally fell apart and my Club Sandwich tasted like processed turkey meat!

Came here with my wife after we drop off our son at school. It’s 8am in the morning, not much people and the services is not much here either. We got seated and have our orders taken. Our foods came and that all the services we got. My coffee never got refill, even though I put my empty cup on front of the table to shown its empty. The waitress walk passed our table maybe over 4 times and not once ask how our food or if we need refill. Get better service at the Denny’s on Shaw & Willows. Last time we coming here.

Denny’s who hasn’t been there came to the Clovis store near the new Walmart, took awhile to be seated only two waitress on duty running around with their heads cut off trying to wait on there tables and host to sit people down not a good comb; as for the food it’s cheap in price and decent for breakfast you get what you pay for.

Brand new Denny’s. The food is what you expect for a Denny’s. I love the Avocado Chicken Caesar Salad. The service here is poor. There are a couple of people that work hard but they can’t make up for the few others that just aren’t good servers. I took my 3 nieces here a couple of days ago and it took forever for them to take our order and even ask us what we wanted to drink. I think once the manager figures out the server problems then this Denny’s will be just fine.

Denny’s is quite exceptional, service wise… They can pretty be uptight and stuck up. SO I just play my cool, because I dont want them to put a UFO on my food that Im about to indulge. You know, like hair, spit, snot, on my food… That I can’t deal with right now. But overall, so far, so good. The diner is quite presentable upon coming in and was greeted about less than 3min. Bathroom is well stocked with bathroom paper, so that a definitely saves the embarrassment. One thing I would recommend is to have them employees check their bathroom at least every hour to make sure its clean. When I came in, there was a slight puddle of water on the floor, and I would assume, a little child had trouble cleansing their hands. And thats what it caused it… If this doest go on check, some elderly could die here to «Risk Of Fall» Anyways, good restaurant, but customer service needs a little more work. Ahem! Understaffed! I get it. Ugh! Hire more people sheeeesh! «Don’t get stingy, rude!» **snaps finger in Z formation** And one thing that this restaurant lacks is Sriracha Sauce… And they dont even have Tapatio Hot Sauce. AND now, I was forced to use Tabasco Sauce which made my food even more saltier. Ugh! To further a due, great re-design of the menu though. Loving the new pictures. Makes my ordering much easier, and all I have to do is just say, «I want this one, just like the picture. That looks delicious.» Namm sayinn.

This is the worst Denny’s I have ever been to in my life and I am 57 years old. First, they gave me a Spanish menu and I don’t speak Spanish nor do I look Spanish. Then, they took my order and as the waitress walked off, I had to say, «Don’t you want to know how I want my eggs and whether I want bacon or sausage?» She said«Oh, yeah». Granted they were busy but it is right by WALMART so the customers are mostly Walmart shoppers and it is kind of like eating at Walmart. I was less than thrilled when they put a Walmart in my upscale neighborhood but I was happy that a Denny’s was so close to my house. I now drive several miles to the other Clovis Denny’s just to avoid this horrible experience.

I have been to this Dennys several times and this time is by far the worst time. All the other times were your average Dennys service. Pros: Free WiFi Free air conditioning. Cons: It took 8 minutes from the time they asked me what I wanted to drink and got it. It was not due to it being busy, but because my waiter was shooting the breeze with the cashier and 2 waitresses. It took 22 minutes from the time ordered to get the prime rib salad and soup to my table. The salad was cold and the soup was small and lukewarm at best. There was no other tables needing food so I don’t know why it took so long and why it was cold and lukewarm. Additional information: I had ordered my favorite dessert, but because my soup was so small they gave me a free cookies and cream sundae. I am thinking honestly it should have been for the slow service and cold food. There was 5 tables filled including me. 3 servers on duty. The place was nasty dirty they started cleaning tables when I started taking pictures. Some people left due to the slow service.

We wanted this Denny’s to be good because it is so close to home however after the fourth time since it opened the service is not any better. Slow to take orders and food was only like warm when we got it. Coffee was made fresh so it was excellent. They need to train the people to work more efficiently or get more people. One waitress moving fast others slow and they disappear …
