Bouncers are rude, the owner is rude, and there is never a soul in the place. You think they’d get a hint? Until I hear of new ownership I won’t go near this place again. Try old town saloon next door or 500 club down the street if you want to have a good night

Within the last 2 months I’ve been to this bar and I enjoyed the experience each time. Now that there are new promoters it does cost to get in on Saturdays. The bartenders make excellent drinks and are very friendly and professional. The DJ plays good music that I can dance all night too. So if you love rap and Hip hop music, this is the place to go. I will warn that you not j walk once you leave the bar because there are police usually waiting outside.

I like martins, if you really want to have a good time, go on Thursdays because they play good music that you can dance to. Sometimes the security gets in the way but that’s how it is when you got some people that act dumb. Great place

This place has good music most nights. The dance floor and bar are a little small. The crowd is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes a lot of sexy people in there and other times it’s just play out HELLA GHETTO like worse than tower ghetto.

This place sucks! I stopped by there on my way home from another establishment after having dinner and showed my ID at the door, no problem. Once inside, ordered a round of beers and stood to the side to view the dance floor. Immediately was approached by a «security guard» who told me to remove the baseball cap I was wearing when I entered the place. I explained to him that I was wearing the cap when I came in through the front door, was id’d and searched and nothing said about ball caps not being allowed. I told him I would finish the beer I had bought and leave. Once outside, I was tongue lashed by «the owner» who said it was posted that hats were not allowed. If that was the case which I am fine with (as is the rule at many night clubs) why didn’t the two security guards at the door say anything when I entered and was id’d and searched or the bartender when I ordered a round of drinks? Only after I spent money was I approached and asked to remove my hat or leave. This place is a hustle, I would advise to steer clear. Much better establishments in downtown Clovis to go to.

This place is pretty awesome. They always have great drink specials, no entry fee, no lines, and great djs. I dance all night. The place is a little small, but they have loud bumping music and tvs everywhere. I recommend this place to everyone, especially college students on Thursday nights.

Love it here yeah it’s small but the drink specials always rock and the DJs are always pretty good plus they have a pool table

This place sucks. I’ve never had a specific «experience» like some of the other reviewers, but there are a number of things that makes this place a lousy bar. Here they are in no particular order:
1-​They do not turn on the air conditioning in the Summer.
2-​Terrible, inexperienced, rude, inattentive bartenders.
3-​Terrible, inexperienced, rude owners.
4-​Inconsistent stock of booze. Sometimes they have Captain Morgan, sometimes they don’t. Seriously? Who runs out of Captain?
5-​The place stinks.
6-​Inconsistent hours. Sometimes they’re open at a certain time, other times, they are not.

I never review but I have never been treated with so less respect in my life. EXTREMLY rude. Kicked us out with no explication then shoed us off. I tried to complain about the short woman and the owner said he wasn’t taking complaints to call back. I am and will take this complaint as far as I can.

It’s a nice Bar with a lounge/​club feel to it they have great drink specials on different days, I’ve been there on different days of the week and I like their Tequila Sunrise and it’s $ 3 on Fridays. The music and DJs are great and they have a bunch of Tvs around the place playing sports and then after 9pm or so on the days they have Djs they show music videos of the music playing… So if you don’t like to dance you can chill at the bar and just watch the videos. And I think it’s the only bar in the area with Djs and Dancing that doesn’t charge a cover but I’m not 100% sure on that. I will for sure keep coming back when I’m in the area!

What a terrible place to be. Do not come here guys. What a mistake coming here. Place is small and nothing good. Not worth your money. Rude manager.

Went in on a random Wednesday night for an open mic. It was a pretty cool little place. I ordered two beers for my boyfriend and I. The bartender was nice. He offered us a house drink that was on special since it waa early. Really cool. We hung out for a while during sign ups. The bar has a bit of an idenity crisis. They kind of just throw out a net of random nights and drinks and music and hope to catch someone…
The night over all was pretty cool. Good sound for the place. Not much of a stage. The bartenders were great (although tiping probably helped some with that). I didnt experiance any of the problems previous Unilocalers experianced. I think the key to a good bar experiance is always tip.

I highly recommend this bar if you happen to be in the clovis area. They have great drink specials everyday of the week. The service and music are great. They also have a bunch of tv’s either playing sports or music videos which give this place a great vibe.

The «owners» are very rude. They talk about customers like the other reviews said. As if we don’t pay money for drinks even though there is no entrance fee. The short chubby lady owner discriminates on you if you’re not white. I know its Clovis but if you’re a business owner you should act more professional and not try to kick people out for nothing at all. And don’t trash talk on customers and act like other people don’t hear because you think we are all drunk, duh that’s why its a bar no? Seriously don’t waste your time people go over next door to Saloon bar :)

So sad. My girlfriends and I usually make this our «go to» spot when we go out on Thursday. Unfortunately THE OWNER of the business, the little lady, about 4’10 has absolutely RUINED it for us. Which sucks more for her than us, because we always came in a big group and spent money. Let me start off by about a month ago, the owner lady went in to the woman’s bathroom when to girls in my group went to actually use the bathroom. The owner then started screaming at them and tried to kick them out for smoking in the bathroom. They do not smoke any sort of thing, so the where let off with a «warning», ok I guess we are in elementary school again. We decided to go just this last Thursday. Worst mistake ever. The same two girls in my group went to the bathroom together in the same stall (guys this isn’t weird for girls to do), the same owner recognized them followed them in the bathroom and shouted ONE TO A STALL, ok my bad bathroom nazi. While me and another friend where in the back, the lady owner comes and talks to the male owner, aka her husband, shit on my friends right in front of us and saying how she was getting ready just to kick them out pretty much. After that I tried finding her every where to explain she doesn’t need to kick us out, well leave like ladies and go next door to salon like every body else:) but now she’s no where to be found?! All we’ve done to her is helping her not so popular bar, and she’s placed labels on us, so from now on will spend our money else where. And OWNER LADY I hope you read this so you don’t make the same mistake if the future and push away more people who have supported your bar. And ALSO, who chargers the D.D. For a soda when her whole group is drinking?! I guess that shows how bad you guys are hurting?! The sad thing is, my girlfriends and I are all coworkers, and the OWNERS come into our work often, and we have never disrespected them like the have to us

I think Martins overall is great. But it’s disappointing when the you overhear the bouncer (red-​haired beard) say «yah we have one fucker left in the bathroom» as you leave the bar. Rude. Inconsiderate. And disappointing of customer service.

Less than 1 star. Went in on a Saturday night and waited almost 10 minutes and the bar tender never even greeted us. We ended up walking to Kimmi’s and had a decent time. We will never go back.

Our running group of 10+ happened upon Martins last night. Not only were the bartenders extremely friendly they also had a fantastic local band playing, The place is clean and plenty of parking around the corner. Our group will be back.

Actually a very cool little neighborhood bar. Great juke, great service from the bartender and its right down the street from our favorite restaurant… Sandy’s Country Junction! ;). Good luck guys!
