This is our go to pizza place when my wife and I decide we earned a good pizza binge. They have a delicious«healthy» option that is a pizza basted with olive oil and has artichoke hearts, basil, tomatoes etc. their«monet» I think it’s called is awesome, loaded with meats even had bacon! Great thinner hand tossed crust, really a little gem in old town Clovis.

I was in Fresno with my parents to attend a graduation ceremony and a fellow in the hotel bar mentioned this restaurant to us as a recommendation on where to get some great craft beers. We were in the celebratory mood and because of a long wait at another(fancy) restaurant close to the hotel, we decided to make the short trip out to Michaelangelo’s. I’m not a big drinker by my father was impressed with the beer selection. What was really impressive was the food! Due to the late graduation ceremony it was towards the end of the evening and the restaurant part of the place looked pretty quite, so we decided to sit in the bar area. Everything on the menu looked good so we all ordered something different. When the food came out I was ecstatic! The food was seriously amazing(we all ordered some sort of pasta). I couldn’t believe I was eating such great food in a bar! The server let us know all the sausage was even from Fresno State, which I totally appreciated because I knew it would be fresh and not overly filled with crap. I would recommend this bar and restaurant to any and everybody!

Heard so much about this place that I finally gave it a try. Ordered the Lasagna and my wife had Spaghetti, nothing to brag about. They charge for the bread, where most places offer rolls or bread at no addition charge. Seen It, Done It… CHECK.

I really enjoy there food but not a big fan of the extra charge for to go orders. Not really sure why it should cost me more for choosing to take my food home. I would frequent there more often if it for that silly policy. Last time I went I also got charged tax twice. It’s deceiving, they should at least let you know about the extra charge when you order it…

We heard such good things about this place so we finally tried it last night. The food was mediocre nothing to rave about and the service was ok.

I’ve been to this place twice, they have very tasty pizza and great selection of craft beer on draft. They even had a stout on nitro. Staff is very friendly.

Pizza, it would of been an extremely better pizza if it was cooked for maybe 5 minutes longer. It was on the rare side, the pepperoni was not fatty, and had a healthy serving of it. Sauce, cheese and crust was good too. I like the option of you getting to pick the crust. Price is fair. Service was so so. The server seemed to be a little more interested on other things. I can say though she was fair on letting me try a couple beers before I purchased a couple of the many they have in here. The beer selection is great and unique. I had never had a peanut butter beer but it was a pleasant experience. I will be back to give the pizza another attempt and to try there rotation of beers on tap! They have a bar side and then a somewhat family side so bring the family if you want.

Had the meatball sandwich. Nothing special about it. Not enough sauce or cheese. Bar area was nice. Parking and prices are good. Service was nothing to brag about. Overall kinda meh.

Food is excellent(this is my family’s favorite pizza place in town). A family — owned business with family recipes, wonderful, personalized service, and reasonable prices.

Foods great and beer is ice cold. Pretty pricey but I guess 7 $ colors lights come with the area the place is located although up the street coots lights for 5 $ … Anyways the employees are amazing and very friendly I will be returning for a pizza :)

Stopped in for the first time the other night. We sat on the patio and lit up some cigars, had a few drinks and some pizza. I don’t think I’ve ever meet a friendlier bunch of people working at a restaurant. The pizza was killer as well. This is a great spot and we’ll definitely return.

The food is great and the beer is even better. Excellent selection of rotating taps and very reasonably priced flights. They regularly have beers from Evil Twin on draft, and if I remember correctly, they were the first place in town to carry an Alpine brewed beer, the Alpine & New Belgium collab ‘Super IPA.’ That’s pretty amazing. So why then, do I feel like so much of the staff is uninterested or unaware of the top-notch craft beer presence here? The last time I went in, the server couldn’t answer any of my questions concerning the beers on tap and was seemingly annoyed that I was asking so many questions. That’s alright though, the beer here more than makes up for any shortcomings in service. Conclusion: If you come here for craft beer, it’s best to sit by the bar. If the bar is full and you have to sit elsewhere, you may or may not end up with someone with beer knowledge. edit: Ughhh, they upped the prices of their flights from $ 10 to $ 15. Sad news for all craft beer fans. Still good pint prices and selection though!

Wasn’t sure what we wanted for dinner and were debating as we drove by Michelangelo’s. Glad we decided to try it. Delicious!!! The daughter was our waitress and she was friendly and knowledge. Mom had Alfredo and I tried a Stromboli. Both were enjoyed! As we ate the owners came in. The woman gave us a huge welcoming smile and welcomed us and thanked us for coming in. Looking forward to going back. I don’t like comparing but I did enjoy the food here more than our other Italian down the road. Keep up the family feel. Works for me!

I called in for pick up due to having a meeting close by. They were punctual and efficient. I got a meal ball sub that it was very tasty even thought you could tell the meatballs very previously frozen. My only gripe was that I called at noon for lunch and my order and their website says it was $ 6.50. When I picked it up it came with a side of fries but for $ 8.50. No where on their menu or website did they state that. I was in a rush so I just paid and left. I will give them another shot though, I love the ambience and the classy neighborhood bar feel

I started coming here early 2k and I was hooked on the pizza. The pizza is still the best I have ever had. Since I like to mix it up a bit I have been ordering off the appetizer menu and the bruschetta is absolutely amazing. On top of that they will almost always have a beer that will impress even the snobbier of beer critics.

The reason why I like this place is the people. This is a true FAMILY restaurant. Even when they are busy(like on Friday nights) the staff is nice and helpful. We went in and it was standing room only at the bar. They were great! Food is good, beer is cold, and staff is the nicest you will ever meet. You want atmosphere, go here!

Food is great here, plus there’s a FULLBAR! Service was wonderful as well, I think this might be our new favorite Italian place in Clovis! PS — They let you change the sauce on any of the pasta dishes!

Gotta eat my words and up the rating from my previous review. Seems like all of the issues I had are not an issue anymore. Service was prompt and super friendly, food came out cooked properly and the pizza was pretty good this time. Its been a while since I had last been so I don’t know if the last time I went there was just an off night, or if they have changed the recipe in some way. Either way the pizza was fine. Beer selection was pretty decent, not a ton of stuff on top but all the taps are craft beer except for the lone holdout of Coors Light, guess you gotta leave something for those who refuse to let craft beer pass their lips. I really like how they show you what they are currently serving and what is going to be on tap in the near future, a good way to keep guests informed. Anyways I am sorry Michelangelo’s, I take back my previous review, you done good.

Adiós Fresno! What a nice surprise. For the most part, food spots in Fresno had been hit or miss for me, but waning more on the positive side. Walking into Michelangelo’s you’re immediately greeted by small woman with a huge smile, who takes you to your table. This is a typical family style restaurant, normally the kind of place that I stay away from by at least a mile, but I had just spent all day in Yosemite and I was tired and starving. Nice place, lots of crazy crap on the walls, with a cozy, friendly vibe. The beer menu here is solid. IPAs from all over Northern and Southern CA and lots of other craft brews from all over the US. The server quickly got us our drinks, and took our food orders. We got the garlic cheese bread, a half plain pepperoni pizza(for the boring bratty kid at the table), and half mushroom and olive, and a house specialty the Mona Lisa? I’m forgetting what this pizza was called, but it was delicious. The garlic cheese bread appetizer was amazing. I mean it’s garlic bread, with butter and cheese… how could this not be good? This is the type of food you see on outtakes of, «My 600LB Pound Life», which is the garlic cheese bread of TLC. Anyway, this app was very tasty; the bread was crispy, but soft. The cheese was wasn’t too overpowering, and it had a tiny bit of heat on the back end. Definitely start with this when you step into Michelangelo’s . The pizza here was good, not amazing but good. You really have to be careful when writing reviews immediately after you eat at a place when you were starving. A hungry stomach can screw with your judgement. I won’t waste your time with the pepperoni pizza, but the Mona Lisa, was delicious. This came with mushrooms, red bell peppers, mozzarella, and garlic cream sauce. The dough was super soft and the garlic cream sauce was a nice departure from the typical marinara. The pizza did lack a little spice, but that was quickly remedied with a few jalapenos. If this pizza intrigues you and you like spice, I highly recommend adding a few jalapenos to this delicious pie. Turns out there’s a full on bar here, but I sat in the dining side of the restaurant. Seems like a good place to snack on pizza and watch the SF Giants do sporty type stuff. The four stars for this place is a collimation of great service, decent food, and a great beer selection. I noticed a few reviews that gave 1 and 2 stars for lack of customer service. I’m pretty sure they have remedied that issue because the service during my visit was fantastic. PIZZAPIZZA… ANDBEER!
