Seven Bar & Grill

We’ve been here a few times in the past few months and we’ve always had a great experience. There is usually a group of us which makes it harder for the bartender and servers, but they are always attentive and have great attitudes. Josh knows how to make the Perfect chocolate martini which is the BEST I’ve ever had. Bailey is awesome and keeps us laughing with her stories, but she hooks up the drinks fast! I haven’t been to the restaurant side, so I’m not sure what the experience is like over there, but in the bar area I have yet to be let down.

We’re regulars at Seven for Saturday morning breakfast. Diane is our waitress, and she has our order memorized and puts it in when we sit down. Good basic breakfast, good prices… we’re definitely fans.

I read other reviews and have to disagree. In my experiences, the food has been better than most places in the Fresno/​Clovis area every time I have been there. The staff was okay and you get quite a bit of food for a reasonable price.

I love this place. My mom has Alzheimer’s and we never know how she’ll react to people but the wait staff is always so kind and indulgent with her. I’ve taken her for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we’ve never had a bad meal. She loves their Chile Verde and eggs and I love the chicken fried steak. We have ribs or steak for dinner; we are always pleased with our meal.

Bar has great service! There appetizers are amazing and there drinks are pretty good!

My mom SWORE by this place so we stopped by here mid morning on a Monday. It wasn’t packed so we were seated promptly. My mom and aunt had the ham and eggs special 5.99? I didn’t want ham so I looked at the menu and basically nothing was under $ 9. I ordered the sausage and mushroom egg omelet with cottage cheese and biscuit. OMFG that biscuit was so fucking dry. Our waitress was great, but other than that it will be my last time.

If you run a restaurant or thinking about becoming a manager this is the place to work-​you can hone your skills and actually practice real world skills on WHAT NOT TO DO in the restaurant business.
I’m typically very low key generous with reviews because I know in tough times you want ATTRACT customers instead of scaring them away. Well, I couldn’t run soon enough or fast enough. Tried the place; from the outside the place looked packed, parking lot was bustling and stalls occupied. Fooled me real good, come inside and admire the wall to wall wood paneling-​and when I say wall to wall, I’m talking tinder box wall to wall. If there was a shortage of pine this place has them ALL. Heck enough with interior decoration, let’s get to the food-​to be fair the burger was good. Perfectly cook with crisp bacon. Everyone around seem to enjoy this army style buffet or they don’t know any better. Price accordingly if you had to choose from Denny’s to Seven, RUN TO DENNYS!!!
Staff, one word-​clueless. Don’t know what it is perhaps I’m witnessing the stepford wives sequel, or the walking dead-​not looking at customers, they need to be told what’s needed not assuming perhaps the empty glass means???
Hello!!! Here’s a tip, you’re not getting one… ha!
In all-​rock bottom prices, lots of serving, roomy stalls, comfortable settings, great lighting… has great potential but near sighted management.
Like I said, great potential-​unfortunately they don’t know it.

Let me preface this by saying that I hate to write a bad review.
We chose Seven for a meal on Sunday morning, seating ourselves in the bar area to watch the games. It was busy but not crazy busy. We sat for about 10 minutes before someone took our drink order. A beer for the hubby, coffee for me. Both were brought fairly quickly although I had to ask for and then wait for creamer and sugar. Menus were also delivered at this time. We then waited about another 15 minutes for our order to be taken. I asked for a refill of coffee and 2 waters. Another 30 minutes passed before our meals were served. Almost an hour after we first sat down. Still no coffee or water or utensils. Food was lukewarm. My chicken sandwich was tasteless and I had to remove the warm wilted lettuce. The fries were cool and soggy. Still no refill of coffee. I ended up leaving most of my disgusting meal.
The food was tasteless and had obviously sat under a warmer. The service was extremely slow, almost nonexistent and I never received a refill of coffee although I had asked for one. Maybe it was just a flook and we hit Seven on a bad day, at a bad time… but we won’t be back.

The only reason I am even giving this place a review is because they have good drinks for cheap. If your looking for diner type of place, you’re better off going to Denny’s… Honestly they need to learn the tricks of the diner world.

The food was good too. I had the chicken fried steak special. The steak was good tasty they even had fresh salsa on request. Definitely a new breakfast spot.

Definitely more of a mature crowd… It’s not to exciting but great service and food is okay… I only got the pizza soo, I can’t really judge. They have a lot of tvs but it’s very… Blah boring. Its a kind of get your food and go, or go to sleep kind of place. :)
